Wolfpack Forward Patrikov Bure Plays the Puck Against the Admirals Earlier This Season.</div>

While many thought the Wolfpack and Admirals were done talking after the recent move that sent the rights to defender Mattias Holmberg to Boston and a first round pick back the other way, it appears that the lines of communication didn't just stop there.

Today, a photo leaked from inside the New England Wolfpack organization which appears to show a conversation between Wolfpack GM Rainbow Dash and the co-GM of the Portland Admirals, Kyle Wahlgren:

Based on this photo, it seems that the Admirals are looking to welcome one of three players into the organization tomorrow with the first overall pick.

These players are Luke Atmey, Max Weber, and Kyle Kylrad.

So who are the three prospective Admirals?

Falcons

F - Luke Atmey - Detroit Falcons Falcons

Luke Atmey is one of the older players entering this draft, having declared his intent to enter the SHL via the S32 SHL Entry Draft on the first day he was eligible to do so. In 50 games this past season for the Falcons, he was only seventh on the team with 11 goals and 9 assists and a +1 on the season. However, while he hasn't quite found his touch yet on the ice, it's hard to question his dedication off the ice - with 291 training hours put in already, it's clear that this guy knows what it's going to take to get things done at the next level.

D - Max Weber - St. Louis Scarecrows

It also looks like Wahlgren good be looking towards the Scarecrows. As a member of the Scarecrows himself, it stands to reason that the young co-GM would be inherently familiar with defenseman Max Weber, whose name also appeared on this leaked photo. With 2 goals and 13 assists for 15 points on the season, his performance wasn't terrible for a defender - but where he really shone was his defensive prowess. With 51 shots blocked, he showed a willingness to throw down his body not many rookies have. As far as training goes, he's rather close to Atmey as he sits at 294 training hours - so the choice between these two could come down more to position than anything.

Falcons

F - Kyle Kylrad - Detroit Falcons Falcons

Or could Portland choose to go with the other half of Detroit's "package deal" duo, potentially looking to pick up the other with one of their other 1st round picks. Of the players the Admirals seem to be looking at, Kylrad had the flashiest season of all. With an impressive 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points, Kylrad was not only fourth on the team for points, he was the team's top rookie and the second best rookie in the league when it came to scoring. Kylrad was also lethal when it came to penalty shots, in a tie for third in the league when it came to scoring on those one-on-one opportunities. One of the biggest draws of Kylrad, especially as compared to Atmey, is that he got a lot of time on the penalty kill - 67 minutes as compared to Atmey's 8. This willingness to play both ends of the puck could serve the young Admirals team well as Kylrad is primed and ready to lead by example when he makes the jump to the SHL. Off the ice, at 280 training hours, Kylrad comes in with the least time spent in training of any of these top three players, but over the course of a long career he should have a lot of time to pass the others in his draft class and take over and reign supreme.

We reached out to both the New England Wolfpack and Portland Admirals organizations and were yet to receive comment from either side by the time we went to print.
