The boys and girls you love are back on your favorite console: SHL 32 will be available in stores this coming December. All of the same things you loved about SHL 31 are still present in the latest edition--with a few careful tweaks based on fan feedback. We sat down with Bojo Games Sports and have the exclusive scoop for you on some all-new content.

In single-player Story Mode, you can create your own player and live their experience. You'll be doing tasks from big events (like hosting a charity dinner) to more mundane activities (dog-sitting for your billet family and the precarious Operation: Toast Fishing as you use a fork to drag toast out of your toaster for your roommate, to name two). Completion of these tasks will earn you FP (Friendship Points) and TP (Task Points) to spend on training and equipment to improve your player's performance.

Longtime players of this mode will remember the endless grinding required to get your players to have any early success. Bojo Games's new creative director, Pieter Ushkin, has created a brand-new Juniors Mode to allow your player to shine right from their very first game without cheats, hacks, or mods.

"It's a big addition and we're very excited about it," says Jay, Mr. Ushkin's long-suffering assistant. "And if we get a lot of complaints about the mode, I'll have to ignore them, probably. Pushkin runs a tight ship--he is a man who knows how he likes things to be done."

The eight teams in juniors mode are designed towards gearing your player up for the long haul. Each team introduced has accelerated "pipelines" to at least two seniors teams--for instance, if you start your career as one of the new Kelowna Knights, you'll get a bonus for declaring your interest to New England and West Kendall, making it more likely that your player will be drafted there when draft day rolls around.

For those of you already railing about change, have no fear: juniors mode is optional. (Though, after taking a spin ourselves, we aren't sure why anyone would choose to skip it.)

For fans of the classics, GM Mode has also gotten an update--you can now take on a juniors team and earn IP (Inspiration Points) to spend as you build up your staff and roster from scratch--but it's very similar to previous iterations players are already familiar with.

And, as always, the famed Bojo Mode allows you to customize every aspect of your gameplay with mini-game toggles, removable ice time caps, player durability sliders, and more. "BG Sports wants to make sure that every aspect of the fan experience remains as positive as possible," Mr. Ushkin states. "Though we expect that's no more than about ten percent to ninety percent enjoyment-to-complaint ratio, give or take."

Some of the new mini-games introduced in this iteration are truly inspirational--to unlock them all, you'll need to play for all of the teams in the league and hunt down some special items.

We won't spoil them all for you, but one of our new favorites was "Russell's Rush"--playing as the New England captain, you'll alternate body-blocking as many opponents as possible while also delivering therapeutic counseling to your teammates as they skate by you with the puck. The dialogue options will get harder as the skating gets faster, until you're suddenly checking the entirety of West Kendall as you attempt to gently reassure Talo that no, in fact, his fiancé is not getting cold feet about their impending nuptials. (It's okay, though--after enough Herculean effort, you'll unlock Russell's Resort, where your aching players can visit for a hot stone massage and some complimentary FP.)

All in all, we look forward to SHL32 and are eager to see it in many stockings this holiday season.

• Still the same! Play some of your favourite games from S31! Pick your favourite team and try to recreate their playoff successes or failures! Take over the New England Wolfpack down 3-1 against the West Kendall Platoon and try to turn the postseason around to beat the Edmonton Blizzard in the finals!
  
• We're pretending this is different! All fourteen teams have accurate jerseys, including their alternate jerseys, so if you want to wear whites at home you have that opportunity!
  
• Whoa - just like every other year! Accurate goal horns, so that <s>when</s> if you actually manage to score a goal you'll hear a true to real life goal horn play as you celebrate like the pros!
  
• We say this every year and act like it's new! A control system that will put all the power in your hands to try and deke around your opponents and score a big flashy goal - or maybe the goalie engine will just glitch and he won't even try to make a save!

Another year, another edition of the SHL video game, am I right? WRONG. Well technically you are right. Introducing the new (but does anything actually really change) and improved S32 SHL. This year the graphics has warped from turtle to hare speed engine, for fast and smooth transitions. This year will include play modes such as:
‘create a pro’ – Create your player from scratch – get drafted by an SMJHL team. How you play dictates how your player will develop. The better you play the higher you will get drafted in the SHL Draft. And then chase the Challenge cup dreams.
‘play as a pro’ – want to be exactly like Luke Fleming. Easy! Play in this mode to pick your favourite player and replay his career.
‘Beat the pro’ – While in play as a pro mode, you will be challenged to beat his statistical triumphs of his career.
‘Fantasy Draft’ – We all love playing hockey. We all love fantasy hockey. Now lets combine them. Select your fantasy team from the regular line-ups and see if you can concoct the best statistical team.
‘GM Mode’ – Take over the reigns of your favourite team like Atlas and Nereus of the Winnipeg Jets. Play with line combinations, playing time, playing styles. Make trades and pick up free agents. Rise your team out of the ashes and bring them to glory!
‘Live the life Mode’ – You just got your millions of dollars paycheck. What are you going to do with it? This mode lets you play the entire life of your player. Choose to go to the gym or do yoga or skip training altogether. Decide what to eat. Hire your own personal chef. Skip curfew and go out to the club – but don’t get caught by the coaches! Spend all your money on a massive house and end up on cribs. Whatever you want to do, it’s up to you! Will it help your play and the team, or cause a distraction?

Mini Game.
The Visshound’s sniffing up a deal. Ever wonder how Jason Visser has so much money, and that he is always high on something? Obviously he has a massive stash of drugs and needs to sell it. Now is your chance to be Jason Visser and make that dough. Grow your own stash, by from your supplier – you choose your method. But you also have to sell it between games and practices. Try not to dip into your own stuff too much because you may get too effed up to play, or go broke. Find that balance as Jason Visser and lead yourself into a productive SHL Career with this side job.

Live the Life Mode:

You will start out your career waiting for the SMJHL draft after waiting for enormously long off season complete with sh$t storms in our newly formed thunderdome. After getting drafted, you will hit training camp and then the ice to improve your player through various point tasks on the ice and hitting certain goals throughout the season.

You will then be prepped for the SHL draft through countless interviews of the same questions and then will not hear back from any of the GMs leaving your draft stock up in the air. Be careful though once you are drafted to the SHL! If you leave your SMJHL team sooner than expected, you will get traded and then shunned in your locker room.

Once in the SHL, you can test out free agency, become a captain or assistant captain of your team, earn management skills by helping your GM all the while helping to better your player by hitting game and seasonal goals.

GM Mode:

Now you can become the GM of your favorite team and relocate them, change their team colors, team uniforms, hire a co-GM, scout upcoming players in the draft that will probably go inactive after a season or two leaving you in a more difficult spot, sign free agents to ridiculous contracts that will hinder your cap position, make trades, sign inactive players to help fill out your roster even though you will double shift and maybe even triple shift a handful of players anyway.

You can even tamper with upcoming free agents costing your team numerous number one draft picks and set your whole team back seasons! Sign players to illegal contracts and get fined!! If you don’t hire a co-GM, you can even tamper with another player on another team without telling their GM!!! You can spoil playoff scores before the rest of the league knows the results!!!! You can forget to regress your own inactives once they hit their 11th season in the league!!!!!

Vader force choke hold and toss game.

You can now pretend you are the real Darth Vader and choke hold anyone on the ice from the other team, to their coach and even the refs and then toss them into the crowd. The further you toss the person into the crowd , the more points you get. But if you don’t clear the glass, you will become weaken by force lightning and will eventually get burned on a bed of wood. This is the one part of the SHL where the strength attribute comes into play from your player, the stronger and taller you are, the longer you can hold the force choke and the further you can send the person into the crowd earning more points.

It's almost here! The highly anticipated SHL32 is already being called "all right" and "not bad" by SHL test groups everywhere. Look out for your favorite SHL 32 rookies, tired GMs, and vets looking to make one last run at the Cup.

Fans of SHL31 will become even bigger fans of SHL32 due to the great new features that are sure to make this SHL game experience better than ever before.

Trash Talk Mode - Love verbally abusing the other team to the point of no return? If yes, this new feature is for you! Just plug in your headset, pull your pants down, and hit the ice running. Unlike in the real SHL, this mode lets your words actually affect the other team! The more creative chirps you have, the more likely your opponent's team is to falter. Available in both Solo and Multi-Player Mode, you and your friends can verbally attack the New England Wolfpack together until they head to the locker room in defeat or you can test the waters all on your own!

Updated Graphics - See your SHL player cry believable tears when they're kicked out of the playoffs! See what looks like goddamn actual blood spill out of a player's mouth when someone yells "MLP blows" at Jasper Clayton! See bruises form in real time! It's all here.

Not My Champions - Once you get to the Championship Cup Final, if the team you don't like wins, you can reset the final game until your team wins! Fair is fair.

Mini Bonus Game - Waffle Party - Due to the feedback on SHL31, the makers of SHL32 wanted to give players the option to entirely skip the SMJHL to get right to the hard boner action of the SHL, but to give players an added incentive to start in the SMJHL, makers have added the mini bonus game "Waffle Party" that can only be played while your player is in SMJHL Mode.

The SHL is back into full swing and with it comes a brand-new game, SHL 32. To produce SHL 32, we took everything that you love about SHL 31, but tweaked a few features. SHL 32 will now feature improved player development, a new game mode, and an altered playoff format!
-Develop your player 14% more: In our classic mode, Be A Pro, we have increased the capped TPE that you can earn from 35 to 40! This will open up the gameplay of the league way more, making it much more interesting for all those involved! On top of this we have added a mystery incentive for you to complete all the PTs.

-New Game Mode: A new game mode that we like to call Army has been brought back to the series after all zero of the requests for its return that we received. Players can now build their own personal army and conquer the rest of the league.

-New SMJHL Playoff Format: We thought the SMJHL was too bland, so we added an all new bye system to the playoffs. SMJHL playoffs now feature an early exit for the terrible teams, and a week of doing nothing for the top teams! We thought this would provide more of what you love, down time!

Every year a new season comes for the SHL and its players. Fans buy their seasons tickets, get all up-to-date on who the new players are, and even start buying some sweet merchandise to get started right. Something else happens away from the rink that only some people get to experience though. The new SHL video game!

There is a group of people, who really don’t have that much care for hockey in general, that get paid to spent countless sleepless nights to study and create a new version of the game, go check in on forums and listen to people complain about how terrible the features are, and then create their own.

Be a pro mode is always one of my favourite such modes, I mean c’mon, who doesn’t want to build the dream! This year you can finally start with your favourite SMJHL team, even play the whole year while building your draft stock! They have also improved the off-season and off-ice details in be a pro, where you can choose how to spent certain time, either with teammates, going clubbing, or putting in the extra work in the weight room. Depending how you choose, it will affect a number of details about your player. Head coaches and general managers watch you, and it can hurt with contract negotiations, sponsorship deals, fans can be disappointed, you really have to not only be a pro, but act like one!

They also introduced a brand-new min game called, The Morenov Gauntlet. Of course, it’s named after the big bold Russian defencemen that plays for New England. During this mode, you are the team you decide, while your opponent is 5 Roman Morenov’s trying to not only get the puck from you, but sometimes trying to kill you with massive hits, and always trying to fight someone.
The more you can make it through this ultra tough team, the better for you, and your team moving forward. You can practice with the Morenov squad once a week, and you get 10 chances to score without leaving the zone, for every goal you score your whole team receives in game perks! Some include extra money for the team, which can be building certain things in the arena to help player morale, sometimes it can mean 10x the healing power of injuries for a certain time period.

New to this years game is a chance to join the ranks of the junior league in the SMJHL. See what it's like to be a true rookie to the world of the SHL and experience all the ups and downs in the juniors, that is of course only if you want to. Renegades Rush (Bonus)
All new this year, Renegades Rush, is a complete VR-Trainer mini-game for SHL 32. This mini-game is set to prep players of all skill levels to learn the basics of SHL 32. This trainer allows players to adjust to the Oculus Rift and become the best player they can be.
The Renegades Rush throws you on the ice with fast paced directions to learn how to skate, shoot, pass and dangle. Dip, dive, duck, and dodge your way through hordes of snood doges through multiple waves. Defeat the horde of snood doges? You’ll have to defeat the final boss, the Ghost of Alex, an invisible force that will check you, wreck you, and leave you hanging all over the ice. Only your wits and ability to execute on the ice can fend off this ghastly fiend but you will be ready to take over SHL 32 by storm once completed.
