Oh I just meant if you need a full roster of 20 decent  skaters because you can't double shift I'm sure GMs would have to call up a lot more guys

I don't think that would ever really happen even with some restrictions in place. I have no issues with a team running 9 forwards + 4-5 D + starter as their core and just filling in with inactives etc. With a proper salary structure, teams shouldn't be able to field a full team anyways of 1000+ TPE players over 12 forward slots + 6 D. That's a bit much. When I see a 1500 TPE player I think like elite star level quality, cause it's not like that level is rampant across the league. A team can TOTALLY have like 6-7 of em, no issues, but stacking 6-7+ another 6-7 1000 tpe+ Players? While other teams struggle to have even 1 player above the 1000 mark? Thats when you run into issues of teams being stuck outside of playoffs for 10+ seasons with no hope cause people keep signing cheap as hell contracts to stay on the super team. Yah know what I mean? Doesn't seem fair a team could field - Crosby - Malkin - Toews - Kane - Doughty - Keith - Lunqvist + + + + + etc. Not like any of those players would take 2-3 Million to stay on their teams when its contract time.

Dear lord.

3 games simmed a day x 27

Current is 2 games a day x 25.

Wouldn't be SO crazy.

This whole post is a waste of time.

Yes the playing times don't provide parity to NHL , nor do the depth of rosters.

Let's create a cap on endurance when I'm sure people are way over the cap.. no

My theory here is that injuries would prevent this from happening.
Plus it would make all the leagues competitive, regardless of player variance.
Rookies in the minors would have time to put points into their durability to ensure that they will be able to take the big hits in the SHL.

The only problem with injuries is that they can take away from the fun of playing in a sim (You cant play if you are hurt, duh)
But we could probably find a work around to this, to either allow the play to heal through their injury faster through some sort of forum participation, or we can give them a TPE bonus as compensation for time lost.

You're new, so I understand you haven't been around to see it, but the topic of injuries comes up every couple seasons, and it's a bad idea for a couple reasons:
-As you said, people lose interest if your player randomly gets injured, and there aren't really satisfactory ways of negating that
-Since we sim multiple games at a time, it creates a major logistical problem if an injury happens mid-sim, with lines suddenly invalid and GMs without an opportunity to adjust in realtime.
-There's honestly not a compelling reason to turn injuries on. Anything that we'd be hoping to accomplish could theoretically be done in a way that doesn't involve those problems.

Obviously I'm a proponent of being allowed to doubleshift players to maximize the team's potential, but I feel it's more necessity than anything. I'd love to be able to field a team which had the depth to have active guys in all roles, and players willing to accept a lesser role on a team. But, as it is, I give our active players as much ice time as they can handle.

I do think the endurance comes into play during the game, evidenced by how god damn many 3rd period leads we've blown Angry
