I'm sorry for my outburst earlier. I'm exhausted and just got done playing a playoff hockey game in which i damn near killed myself playing in and literally gave every ounce of energy i had. I wasn't in the right frame of mind and shouldn't have gotten as mad as i did.
With that going on, seeing St. Louis basically lose the lottery was the last straw since i really thought we fixed it so the teams missing the playoffs wouldn't fall that far and found not too long ago that was wrong. And when i found out nothing was changed, i KNEW we'd fall. Seeing it come to fruition incensed me, the same way it did when Colorado was forced to drop to 6 last season. I think the system stinks, and i wasn't thinking when i talked, because i believe HO actually has a fix for this.
It wasn't anything else than passion for my team. I've watched these guys work really hard to improve their players, and write articles, and bond in the LR that it really sucks that we've had to miss the playoffs twice now, and on top of it, we don't even get like the sweet lotto pick to help us get out of this funk. They just deserve better. Falling to 5th may not seem like it REALLY matters, but it just feels like another slap in the face to my Scarecrows. My players don't deserve that.
Was it the best way to go about it? No. But I wasn't in the best frame of mind and all i could think about was them. Not the best excuse, but it is what is.
