Sure you have the insane ones ( looking at you <a href='index.php?showuser=2285' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-13'>Tomen</a> <a href='index.php?showuser=2274' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Rabidsponge21</a> <a href='index.php?showuser=31' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-66'>grimreaper</a> ) that will shoot miles ahead of you as they gobble up TPE like a Pacman on ecstasy (what did you think those pills he ate were?) but more importantly it's about being consistent over the long term and enjoying yourself on the site. The moment it becomes a chore it is not worth being there and you should consider taking a break.

You were never a bad player. :lol:
You were arguably the best SMJHL goalie from our class and you've been very solid in Hamilton despite a supporting cast that's been less than stellar. Don't sell yourself short.
But I will say that you nailed the SMJHL on the head. The league can be frustrating but it's mostly about chemistry. You get SMJHL gods that go on to be SHL busts and SMJHL busts that go on to become some of the best SHL players in the history of the league. What you do here and now is something you can cherish. Enjoy your time in the SMJHL. Work on what you want your player to be about. You will see some dividends from doing that but don't let it frustrate you.
The most important thing you can get from your first year in the SMJHL is friends. Well, I think that's the most important thing you can get from any of your time in the SHL. But the first season is where it all develops. Your LR, your class, your rivals. They are all potential friends and people you will be seeing in the SHL for the next 10 seasons.
So sit back. Enjoy the ride. Have some fun. Some shit talking can be fun but don't be a braggert. I know at times I was and I have learned to regret it.
And most of all, don't be discouraged with your stats. If you're not doing well in your first year you have so many more ahead of you. So stay active, make friends and find the good people on this site.
There are a lot of them, you just have to sort through the vocal minority of idiots!
