Btw, I did this for fun and purpose, not money :D

WKP Prospects

It's now the end of the season for the Platoon and it ended off in a tragic thanks to Toronto who is currently in the Finals after defeating the Wolfpack. But hey, at least we didn't get swept like 2 seasons ago and I scored a goal so it wasn't too bad. Okay it sucked. But I won't waste my time typing about the WKP Season Review because the season wasn't even great. Because we'll be better. I'm here to talk about our prospects and how good they are. The future is bright and yes, have sunglasses when you see Bojo and Engi because they're shining. Just like their team. We got a bunch of picks and this team can actually win a championship one day. Here I will talk about each prospect like I did 2 seasons not because of money, but because I want to. (They have 3 prospects for now)

Mammoths (S35) Finn Kruger - Defenseman Mammoths

Two-Way Defenseman
TPE: 461
Junior Team: Colorado Mammoths

The biggest hope this team has. Their best defenseman prospect known as Finn Kruger. He was drafted 3rd overall last season after such a great rookie year. He had 27 points where he was a defenseman. I know him outside the SHL and he’s a pretty fun person to talk to. And everyone should love this guy especially WKP because he’s going to be a star.

Birthplace: Germany

Weight: 200lb

S35 I G:15 I A:30 I P:45

Now his rookie season was impressive but his 2nd season was even more impressive. He led was 3rd in goals and T-1st in assist being 1st in points. He played 22 minutes a game and blocked the most shots. He’s already revealed his talent and already confident it making a splash. He played in the SMJHL Finals just recent and the best playoff run. He had 14 points in the playoffs but he lost a chance to win the Four-Star Cup to the Whalers in a sweep. He’s a very good defenseman and has tons of offensive talent.

Kruger’s best is his passing. He can make incredible passes to anyone of his teammates. He can make incredible saucer passes and long passes. He’s been improving that and developing that in his junior career and my god it's looking elite already. For your information, his passing right now is at 78 although he should focus on his strength too but he’s still great.

He’s not only solid at defense and passing, but also his skating. He’s one of the best skaters in Colorado and has the tank to go full flash. He’s a very fast skater and if you’re on a breakaway in front of Kruger, you better go as fast as you can because he can catch up. When he’s out of position, he can go back to being where he is suppose to be at very quick by using his speed. Its important to skate really well especially for a defenseman.

Kruger can grow to being Splatoon’s top defenseman. Obviously the other defensemans are regressing so it's a good chance for him. He’s going to play one more season with Colorado depending on his choice but I can’t wait for him to be in our roster. He’s an excellent passer and skater. But he’s not only offensive but he’s defensive obviously. He’ll provide lots of offense and join the rush. Expect him to be a star in the future.

Mammoths (S34) Vratislav Zbyněk - RW Mammoths

Offensive Forward
TPE: 463
Junior Team: Colorado Mammoths

Zbynek is one of the forwards best prospect for this team. He was also Colorado’s one of success players and reasons to them making the finals. He’s the captain for Colorado. He’s an offensive forward and can score hell lot of goals. Drafted 8th overall in the S33 SHL Draft after a solid 20 points in his rookie season, he is set to make his stage in the SHL with the Platoon.

Birthplace: Czech Republic
Height: 6’4
Weight: 220lb

S33 I G:6 I A:14 I P:20
S34 I G:17 I A:25 I P:42
S35 I G:21 I A:19 I P:40

What thing you should know, Zbynek and Kruger are close friends. Both have each other backs and both can tear up the juniors especially Zbynek. Being captain of the Mammoths, he has brought Colorado lots of hope and making the playoffs and not only that, making the finals. Couldn’t get it done against Vancouver but next season, he promised a cup to be in Colorado. He’s a terrific player and a terrific leader. His leadership skills are up high and brings in lots of confidence and there’s nothing anyone can do about that.

I mentioned before that he’s an offensive forward. There are players who can just pass and some that can just score. Well this player can do both. He can score goals and create lots of great passes. He trains hard to be one of the best shooters in the league. He did score 21 goals last season and a total of 38 goals the last 2 seasons. He’s a great scorer but he focuses most on his passing but he has teammates who can score too so he that’s when his passing comes. He practises passing everyday and again, wants to be the best. That’s his word. He’ll pass it to anyone open as soon as possible so whoever is playing with Zbynek, you have to be ready.

He also has good chunks of speed. He’s a great skater and can skate front and not sure about back. The point is he can skate really fast and join the rush real quick. When he’s on a breakaway, no defender can really catch up to him. He still does need to make his skating better but right now, it’s in good shape not an issue. His issue though is his defense and could get better in the future.

Zbynek has a potential to be a top 6 forward if he continues to get his activity right and active. I mean his scoring is at 81 right now so he’s going to be a great goal scorer in the future. He was a great pick by WKP and hope to be a solid star player for his future team. And get a Four-Star Cup as he will be playing his last junior season in S36.

Knights (S33) John Langabeer Jr. - LW Scarecrows

Sniper
TPE: 822 (he's got more than me)
Junior Team: Kelowna Knights/St Louis Scarecrows

Lanagbeer Jr. has been one of the biggest riser and a potential steal in the S33 SHL Draft. He was drafted 8th overall and was the main target. He has a lot talent in himself and lots of sense to scoring goals which his pro team needs. He’s not only a great player but he’s also a great person in the locker room. He brings lots of joy and incredible leadership to the team just like he did in the Junior. Langabeer is platoon’s best prospect.

He is a Four-Star Cup Champion after his win in Season 32 with Kelowna and later made a finals appearance where his team was 1 win away from winning the threepeat. Before he got drafted, he picked up 19 points in 50 games where he played only on the 3rd line. He did not show off his talent a lot but his teammates knew he would bright and shine in the future. Even I knew even because I know everything that’ll happen. He was also the captain for the Kelowna Knights from S34. He’s a very good leader.

Birthplace: USA
Height: 6’1
Weight: 195lb

S32 I G:8 I A:11 I P:19
S33 I G:26 I A:30 I P:56
S34 I G:27 I A:28 I P:55
S35 I G:22 I A:18 I P:40

Langabeer is a great goal scorer and that’s his best talent. Once he gets that going, he’ll be an excellent sniper. His scoring is already at a 90 which means he’s going to be scoring tons of goals in his rookie year from my perspective. Langabeer has good strength to keep the puck away from opponents trying to steal the puck from him. He has good positioning and knows when to score. He mentioned he scores like Alex Light who’s also a great sniper and having two guys on a same team is very dangerous.

Langabeer has good hands, with the ability to stick handle in tight spaces and make moves one-on-one. He protects the puck extremely well down low, extending plays and keeping possession. He protects the puck well which gives him good possession minutes. He’s a big offensive Game type of player. Not only can he shoot but he can stick handle. He didn’t just improve his scoring, he improved his puck handling. His hockey IQ is pretty good. He knows what to do, where to be and how to play. Coach will like him.

Langabeer can grow to be a top line winger. He’s already at 800 TPE and hasn’t played in the SHL yet. He has the skill, the hockey IQ, and passion and he’s a play everyone must see because he can for sure surprise. The ability to provide offense, playing against top lines, and killing penalties which is important in the SHL.

Ya, he's playing in the SHL next season.

And that is all. Obviously this team will have more prospects after the big draft which is a very big draft full of very good promising prospects. The future is bright for every team! Especially for Kendall Town. Now its time for them to bring the cup to WK and end the drought.

Also for advertisement, the S36 SHL Draft is close and is on Tuesday, August 1st 2017. So I hope everyone especially the draftees be involved and have a great time Cheers
