What's the best draft class this site has seen so far, and why?
I’m going to be super biased and say S35 is the best draft class. A lot of us were called up this season and most of us have made at least some sort of impact in the SHL already. There’s a lot of players who stayed active and have been taking every tpe opportunity to stay on top. I’m excited to see how everyone does this season whether they are in the SHL or SMJHL.

Having worked as Calgary's steady updater for a handful of seasons, I actually became both impressed with and really fond of Esa's management style and the amount of dedication he has towards his players and his team. Pel will never wind up on the Dragons, but if I had to pick a GM I haven't played for to play for, Esa is still pretty much top of the list. Hope he stays in management for seasons to come -- class act.

i dont know anything about the older draft classes. S36 class best class. we makin this site great. but for real fore real we got some good ass players. ace evok nour pris pb and so many more. all of them and so many more of us will be here for many seasons. if i were to redraft myself, i would leave myself where i was. based on<a href='index.php?showuser=2267' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-10'>Waters</a>'s article, im #11 in the class for tpe/day but at that point i was brand new, only had 222 tpe, and very unknown. the only reason i was drafted in the second by calgary is because im sure joe was telling esa to. if i was a gm, i would not have drafted myself in the first round, even if my tpe/day is very good now

Let's go back to your SHL draft. In hindsight, do you think you would have/should have been drafted in the position that you were, knowing what you know now? Give yourself a redraft position!

Considering how shallow my draft class was, and considering 1st overall went inactive pretty much immediately after being drafted, I definitely think I should have gone higher, but I'm glad I went to the team I was drafted by.

- What's the best draft class this site has seen so far, and why?

There's really only one answer that we should be seeing for this. The greatest SHL draft of all time was S14. That draft was ridiculous. They had a good handful of legends: O'Callaghan, Merica, Morley,FourFour and it was only a three round draft.

They also had quite a handful of really good players too, which were more than serviceable in their time: Jalopski, Winnfield, Potoczny, Tutankamun, DuJardin, Vilmenietis, Belial, Smith.

For a three round draft? That's a really good outcome. Those mentioned as legends, previously, are some names that will never be forgotten around here.

We also have multiple IIHF heads as part of the class including Evok and myself for Ireland, Sleepy for Germany, Loco for Canada, Kris for Latvia, if I'm forgetting someone I apologize. The class while very young has spread out fast and done lots to help the site and their teams. Most of the players will have debuted this season or will next season to help their SHL teams as well.

What's the best draft class this site has seen so far, and why?

I guess I'll continue the biased choices on here. But unlike a lot of other choices, S31 has a real chance of being one of the best ever draft classes this sit has ever seen. Not only in the sim but on the site the draft class has completely taken over. Let's just list the leadership jobs held currently by S31 members:

All of these members have helped shape the current state of the SHL. Along with leadership positions held by the S31 class we also see many of the players from the class making their stamp on the league. Six goaltenders from the S31 class have had success, from winning the McBride (Haas and Wahlgren), to winning the Cup (Aittokallio, Kirkstone, Rudnikova and Pel). The top skaters of S31 are starting to become superstars in the league. Names like Volkova, Redding, Evans, Visser, Koch Schröder, Kerczewski, Metzler, Westbrook, Kosonen, Kaiser, Bearss, Laing, Leetch, and many more are becoming household names in the SHL.

We may not be an older class that has finished their run and solidified their spots in the SHL Hall of Fame. But when all is said and done - the S31 class will have many many Hall of Famers.

Truly an unstoppable group.

S36 class best class. we makin this site great. but for real fore real we got some good ass players. ace evok nour pris pb and so many more. all of them and so many more of us will be here for many seasons. if i were to redraft myself, i would leave myself where i was. based on<a href='index.php?showuser=2267' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-10'>Waters</a>'s article, im #11 in the class for tpe/day but at that point i was brand new, only had 222 tpe, and very unknown. the only reason i was drafted in the second by calgary is because im sure joe was telling esa to. if i was a gm, i would not have drafted myself in the first round, even if my tpe/day is very good now
