So my first rookie season is in the books and I can’t say how happy I am that I joined the SMJHL and the Kelowna Knights. Overall I went into this season with an open mind and I am very lucky that I did. After talking to a lot of the other GM’s I really wanted to join Kelowna because I really enjoyed Nour and Samee and they were great to be around. When I did, it was clear that they were actually super nice people and not misleading when they talked about their team. While I understood that we may not be as good as other teams just based off the fact that a lot of our team comprised of rookies for our bottom 6. It helped me to get excited for the next season, I don’t know who we will be losing in the off season but I hope it is glowy (kidding) so I can take his captain spot. While I did not really talk to rookies from other teams much, I did find a solid group of players that I hope to continue with down the road. In Kelowna it felt like there were 3 main rookies that were very active in the discord. Those three were myself, Richard Physt, and Brock Becker. We are ideally going to become a full forward line, even though Richard Physt is a defenseman. The plan is for me to become a sniper, and Physt to become a left winger to help score goals and keep each other active. After hearing our GM Nour did something similar he and Clint Eastwood have been a tremendous help in getting ourselves organized and to become effective and useful towards teams as well as hopefully help us out in the draft. We are going to be reaching out to SHL teams and hopefully get drafted by one team. I am worried to how this may go, I fear that we will be split up. But I hear others like Nour have done it in the past so I am not too worried about the situation as I feel that it will work out.
Personally I felt like I did quite well in my rookie season. Considering I initially was going to play center because that Is actually how I convinced Kelowna to draft me, that was good. I got 8 goals and 11 assists with 8 penalty minutes. Overall that isn’t bad because I started the season 10 games in with like no points. And towards the end of the season, every sim I got a point. I am looking forward to becoming a sniper because I like me some goals, and a playmaking center is great. Plus a power forward to help me out in the physical aspect will be nice. I wish I could hit a bit more but I feel that would make the sim give me more penalties. Which is something that I do not want in my life. I have enough boxes in Nour’s closet. I really want to win the smjhl with Kelwona at least once, and I hope to do it with the BHAP squad.
So because I want to maximize the length of this because I don’t want to write more than one, and I am sure that nobody is actually reading this, I am going to start randomly talking about my teammates. So I don’t know what happened to Pwniipie. When the season first started he was super active, writing a lot of articles to get equipment, and being a great teammate. In the second half of the season I did not see him at all. I don’t know if it is personal real life stuff or not, because he is one of the best players on the team to his credit. I just wished he talk to the team a bit more. Clint Eastwood, I will rant about him later. I have a “feud†with him because he is a Boston Bruins fan. Post draft I will thunderdome him so hard he will go back through puberty No Kappa. Glowy is a nice person I think? He is our captain. He takes a lot of penalties. Richard Physt is a good guy. Very very big hands, like if giant’s exsisted, their hands would be as big as Richard’s is. Im pretty sure they are as big as his head. We needed to get him special gloves because his hands are too big for normal sized gloves. Its ok though because his goal every game is to physt some poor kid. You did not hear that from me. That is fake news. Brock Becker is cool, very nice guy. He came in as a free agent a couple games in the season and has been one of the most active players on the team. I have great chemistry with him because we are both playmakers and have been on the same line for most of the season. I don’t know who else to talk about, so yeah. I like my team. Happy to play with them again next season!
