I haven't followed Vatrano much since his crazy AHL season a couple years back but it's just so odd to see a player on an expiring ELC get traded like a rental.

Obviously I don't know the specifics on his development, etc and his numbers this season are pretty concerning but it seems like a decent reclamation wager for Florida, too. Although I find it somewhat hard to believe Florida is capable of making decent moves so...

He's been a healthy scratch most of the season, and when he was playing he wasn't producing what he's capable of. He'll be a bottom 6 most likely, but I still like him as a player. Heard great things about him in the locker room, too.
