Flacko Lagerfield Draft Rankings
#1

Man o' man, I bet most people reading this would be surprise to see a client of JSS' writing this article. Flacko Lagerfield is the first of the total 3 SHL clients of JSS that is still working hard after spending a week in the league. JSS' 2 other clients Hugo Blanchard and Yanni Kataranakis dropped off rather quick compared to Flacko so there was no need to make something like this. However, Flacko is the standout here. Lagerfield is one of the hardest working players that will be in the upcoming draft and has hopes of going in the first round in the upcoming SHL draft, unlike the SMJHL draft where he was picked up in the 3rd round. Our team here at The Sports Network asked Lagerfield to send us his draft rankings and he did send something, but not exactly a rankings of teams. He wrote back to us his thoughts on every team, but not where he places them, mostly because he finds that disrespectful. The show must go on though, so here's what he had to say.

Buffalo Stampede Stampede
Buffalo is a really desirable team in my opinion. I know the GM quite well over there and his work has always impressed me. The Stampede also have arguably the best prospect pool in the league and I have nothing negative to say about anyone currently on the team which is always a plus. The city of Buffalo might be a bit of boring place to live, but I imagine the atmosphere of the team vibe will most definitely make up for it.

Calgary Dragons Dragons
Calgary seems like a solid place to play. I know a handful of people on team and I've only heard great things about the GMs. In my little time paying attention to the SHL, Calgary hasn't been in any drama so that's a plus for me. I'd like to play on a drama free team.

Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard
I've heard some bad things about the Blizzard, but I really couldn't care less about that, because those are rumours and those rumours could turn out to be false. Though, I still have some things to say. For starters, there are a couple people on the team that I'm not too fond of based on small interactions and from what I've seen. Secondly, I know absolutely no one on the roster so I don't really know how the vibe of the locker room would be. Lastly, I hate their logo. The Blizzard's logo looks something that was made out of a hockey video game for when you decide to create a team and you have to choose one of the pre made logos. I don't care much about the last part so take that part with a grain of salt.

Hamilton Steelhawks Steelhawks
Honestly, just looking at who's on the team, the Steelhawks is definitely a team I'd love to play based on the personalities on the roster. I don't talk to many Steelhawks, but players like Zanarkand Abes, Noro Wozy and Nour Harrak are great people from what I've seen around the league and would make for a great locker room based off my assumptions. On top of this, the Steelhawks are one of the best teams in the league which is always great when taking a look at possible team destinations.

Los Angeles Panthers Panthers
I've yet to a hear something bad about the Panthers in my time here. Their GMs are the best of the best off other's opinions and I know more than a handful of players on the Panthers. Knowing people on team you'd get drafted to is always great. You wouldn't feel like a total stranger and you can see how you'd fit in over there. The Panthers are not in a playoff spot currently, but they're in a stacked conference by the looks of it so it's excusable.

Manhattan Rage Rage
I've heard many bad things about the team and the way it is ran. I also don't know anyone currently playing for them so that also sucks. I'm not really a fan of their logo. However, Manhattan is a great city so that makes up for 25% of their flaws.

Minnesota Chiefs Chiefs
While they are the S39 champions, I have heard some stuff that displease me. I can't imagine myself in a Chiefs uniform though they do have a player on the team with the last name Flacko, so just for that, I'll give them a non existent bonus point.

New England Wolfpack Wolfpack
Great GMs, great players. I really can't say anything bad about them. I could see myself in New England playing with them in the future, no doubt. I'll keep it simple, New England is my top choice.

San Francisco Pride pride
I like the management up in San Francisco, I like the colours and the logo, I also like some of the players on the roster. I like where the Pride is heading and I would be more than proud to wear the uniform on the ice.

Seattle Riot Riot
Surprisingly, If I were to rank them on a list, they would be in the top 3. The Riot have a bright future. They have a great prospect pool and I know almost half the players that are currently under contract with them. My agent has had one of his clients be drafted there and he has told me that the locker room atmosphere in Seattle is great from the little time he's spent there. I think the GMs are great and they're very pleasant to talk to. My agent and them have a great relationship outside of the SHL. It's pretty easy for me to write them up as one of my more preferable destinations.

Texas Renegades Renegades
I know nothing about the Renegades organisation. However, I like what I have seen from the GMs and the players. Their logo is also my favourite out of all. For some reason, it gives an intimidating vibe and I like it.

Toronto North Stars Stars
I don't know much about this team. I know a couple players so that's good I guess. I don't have much information to judge them on which sucks for myself and their scouts.

West Kendall Platoon Platoon
I recognise a lot of players in West Kendall if I just give a small look at the roster. I like what the GMs are doing with the team. I have nothing negative to say about them. I'd for sure love to play there.

Winnipeg Jets Jets
I like their head GM a lot. He's a smart GM, he knows what he's doing and their logo is great, but for some reason... For some reason, Flacko Lagerfield of the Winnipeg Jets doesn't roll off my tongue as great as it would with other teams. However Winnipeg is still a destination I'm open to.

That wraps it up for what the S41 draftee has to say. If any scouts or general managers reading this would like to get in touch with Flacko Lagerfield, you can hit his agent JSS up.
