My Predictions For S41 Draft Top 5.
#1

The top 5 in the upcoming SHL draft is set. The Buffalo Stampede hold the first overall pick while the Wolfpack come in 2nd. Behind the Wolfpack are the North Stars in 3rd and the Rage in 4th. The 5th pick should’ve belonged to the Pride, but that pick has been forfeited so in reality, the Panthers own the 5th pick in the S41 draft. In my free time, I decided to predict the top 5 draft picks. Ride along with me on this journey where I’ll probably get every prediction wrong.

1 - Lightning Jones. With the 1st overall of the S41 draft, the Buffalo Oile...I mean the Buffalo Stampede select...Lightning Jones! Yes that’s right, Lightning Jones. Lightning Jones is Jedi’s recreate and Jedi is a tier 1 user who has made an amazing player in the past and will make an amazing player in Jones. The Stampede are in need of a winger to bring them to the next level and Jones will be able to do just that if the Stampede take him at first overall. Jones is speedy player with some nice hands and a great vision. Jones will be able to lead the forwards in Buffalo and be an excellent power play machine for the future. Something many teams desire. Jedi

2 - Reginald MacIntyre. One of the few defenseman in a winger heavy draft, Gooner comes in 2nd and lands in New England. Gooner is currently 1st in TPE for draft eligible players sitting with 269. Gooner has shown that he is ready to grind it out to become a superstar in the SHL and there’s no signs of him stopping. Reginald has every tool you need to become a top pairing defenseman. Reginald has no flaw to his game, he’s a well rounded player that will be able to be utilised on the powerplay and penalty kill. The perfect two way defenseman will bring youth to New England and make a name for himself. GoonerBear

3 - Kevin Maddox. A very unorthodox pick, Kevin comes in 3rd and is picked up by the North Stars. Now some might be scratching their head and wondering what the hell I’m thinking here, but let me explain. The S41 class is very very forward heavy and Toronto is also very very forward heavy. Toronto doesn’t really need or have space for a forward like Alex Andani or Daniel Danlil which is why I’m inclined to believe that they will take a chance on Maddox despite him not having as much TPE as others in this class. Kevin Maddox has perfected his defensive game for this draft and will be a pain in the ass to deal with in the future if you’re on the opposite side of the ice. Standing at 6’4, Maddox is not afraid to throw around the body and deliver some momentum changing hits. Maddox will be loved in Toronto and his ceiling is most likely #2 or #3 defenseman. However, Toronto could also trade 3rd overall for some SHL ready players to help them gear up for a run to the playoffs in S41 seeing as their rebuild is almost done. Toxic

That concludes my top 3, let’s look at the next 2 picks and what they can bring to their teams.

4 - Alex Andani. The first centreman is off the board and finds himself on top of a Manhattan skyscraper. Carbine isn’t top 5 in TPE in this draft, but he sure as hell is close. Carbine has also stepped up around the site and has landed a couple high paying jobs. Carbine definitely won’t run into a money problem anytime soon and I’m sure teams are drooling over that. Andani isn’t your typical offensive juggernaut, Carbine has taken a different approach to his player compared to most. Alex has a great defensive game and is one of the best centerman in the SMJHL. On top of this, Andani has some slick hands and could dangle for days. He also isn’t afraid to throw around his body and is one of the strongest players. His comparable is Patrice Bergeron, a centerman who can pass the puck and kill off them penalties. In fact, I’ll even go out to say that Alex Andani will be one of the best penalty killers in a handful of seasons and whoever drafts him will strike gold. Carbine

5 - Daniel Danlil. The last pick of the article, Daniel lands in sunny Los Angeles. Like others in the draft, Daniel is your average Joe. Danlil is an offensive winger who can make plays and make the players around him better. With a dedicated position on the site which is SMJHL intern, Dan^2 is no doubt a top 5 pick in my eyes and is probably a top 5 pick in other GMs eyes. Despite being 5’7 which is a concern to some, Daniel will bring speed and the ability to produce plays to the squad that drafts him. I’m sure Los Angeles would sure be happy to land him. Dan^2
