Such jubilation after a HUGE 4 Star Cup win for Richard Physt and the Kelowna Knights. The cheers, the beers, Dorty and Becker Chirpin Detroit. So caught up in it all that when Lokit arrived in the lockerroom with a copy of Austria Now! Almost nobody noticed. "Hey Physt! You made it!" Physt looked up, moustache wet with champagne, Cuban steaming away in his mouth. "What do you mean Mika? Made what?" Mikhail confidantly slapped the paper onto Richard's lap, sports section on display. "The Austrian National team. Seems your fighting and team defense didnt got FULLY unnoticed." Richard read it over. "It's that time again, IIHF hockey is back with the biggest and best of your fair Austria. Coach Biz announced his newest arrivals to this year's team, amongst them one Richard Physt, cousin of the Fucking Physts. Richard just finished helping his team, The Kelowna Knights of the SMJHL...." Physt couldnt believe it. "Biz wanted me?!" Mikhail laughed. "Yeah you, welcome to the team Physty. We better fly out tonight, Biz doesnt waste time." "yeah i know" said Physt. Richard remembered Camp Izzy. That was the end of the night for Physt. Back to the hotel room to book a flight to Vienna. The flight was nothing special, one from Kelowna to Toronto and a connection Toronto to Paris. Then a calm train ride from Paris, through the Alps, and on the way down. It was through the French and Italian Alps that it hit him. This was monumental, a HUGE opportunity to prove he could skate with the best. Battling for the puck with Champions like Mike Izzy, Austrian and SHL legend Lord Darth Vader, taking shots on THE Jordan FourFour?! What an honour. By the Austrian Alps the anxiaty set in. "What if i have to FIGHT Izzy? What if they dont want me there? I CAN'T be this scared." Through all the nerves Physt forgot to do more than drink coffee. The train rolls in and Physt is fast off of it, bag and all. Not wanting to chance it, Richard blew all of his Championship budget on the nice, expensive language converter to call the cab and head to the aptly named Lord Darth Vader Arena and a dashing navy blue pinstripe suit that would make Don Cherry proud. Drumbing up on the door as they drove the 2 hour distance to the other end of town, beautiful buildings and archways abound. Old palaces passing by. Finally they pull up out front. A deep breath and through the doors. Walking in was a whole new feeling, the anxiaty was still there sure, but a familiar feeling too. Waving at the administrators, food staff, the cute barista. Almost was calming, then the. Then the official Izzy ice girls walked over. "Coach Biz has been expecting you Mr. Physt, follow us." Stunned, the anxiety was back. Following gorgeous women is one thing. IZZY's Austrian girls are one of a kind. Quietly they lead him down, heels clicking audiablly. Before leaving him alone in front of the Coach's office for sign in. "A sign in sheet?" seeing the names, Physt signs in. Heading down the hall following the signs toward the Dressing rooms. "This is it, the big, Oak, and Gold trim doors." Richard looked each way before pushing onto the doors and entered the room. Not knowing what to expect was one thing, what Physt saw was Wholly different. Soft Jazz and the smell of mid morning coffee filled the air. There were small groups chatting, some half dressed in hockey gear and classy street clothes. A neon No Smoking sign glowed in the room and the air was clean. The carpet even LOOKED soft and the Austrian Imperial crest adorned the floor in splender. On the far side hung a plasma screen tv showing a running highlight reel of everyone. Amazing saves by FourFour, blasts from the point by Vader, end to end rushes by the likes of Bitties and Izzy even hits by....Physt? He was here on TVs in Austria? Or was this a Personal reel? A flood of emotions roared through Richard as he wandered in slowly. Coffee and...Austrian cinnamon buns? This would be too good. Just about the head over to the cart. "Mr. Physt guten tag, welcome to Austria" hollered Mike Izzy from his stall. "Izzy, congratz on the Challange Cup." comming on over. "Much the same to you and the Knights. Come here a minute, you probably want to find you're practice jersey." "Absolutely Izzy, lets go." Physt followed Izzy over to the...laundry hamper? "Here it is, you're a double XL right?" "umm yeah. Shouldnt i get a clean one maybe?" the whole room burst out in laughter and a chorus rang out from the team. "Welcome to the team Rookie! Hahaha" Physt smirked and just like that, felt right at home. Man i cant wait for this Tournament to start.

Im upset that I wont have you by my side in the SHL. I am super thanful that we shared a team together and made one of the best LR's in the SHL. I wish you the best, I hope to rejoin you on a team one day.

Kelowna has a proud tradition of gritty hard hitting tough guys that did the dirty work for the green and gold. Johnathan Lundberg did that job in the late 20's.. he passed the torch to Vasily Horvat in the low 30's.. who gave his blessing to Mike Izzy who then handed it over to Richard Physt ... whos been ass kicking for the better part of 3 seasons including kelownas 4 star cup championship here in 40. Austria is thrilled to have Physty bringing the abrasion to the line up this season!

Now dont forget... Alex Light wants his suits steamed cleaned and fully pressed
