I'm not sure I'm tracking the Toronto bias angle. Yes, they are fighting for playoffs, but even with the suspension Buffalo was iirc in second at the time of the announcement. Todays results notwithstanding, if Toronto was getting in it was probably at NEW or WKP expense. Complete non factor imo

Cause people though TOR would play against autolined BUF. Little do they know i was actually contacted by someone in HO asking if we could wait a bit for the sim if Finn couldnt make change. Idk why else if its not that.

In my opinion a game suspension is warranted here, but I do think the league needs some clearer guidelines for the future about when we use game suspensions and when we use forum suspensions (or both) because right now, this does seem quite arbitrary.
Generally speaking, I'm a proponent of game suspensions and think that they should be our main form of punishment for the very reasons mentioned in here. If your transgressions not only hurt yourself but also your team and the people you care about, then maybe you'll think twice about behaving like an ass in the future. Then add forum suspension for people whose transgressions go past a single post or two and who negatively impact the forum atmosphere as a whole with suspendable content and refuse to stop.
I don't really feel sympathetic for the teams in many of these cases either, because often times the player in question hes been a known troublemaker/edgelord for quite a while, if you take a risk of building your team around someone like this then it's your own fault if you get burned from time to time. Something that is often forgotten in this league that on a team, you are also supposed to hold your teammates accountable if they are at risk of doing something that hurts your squad, instead of just blindly following them into battle everytime they get into a fight.
With that being said, I do agree that this suspension is somewhat questionable especially given what else has been said by some other people about this rule change. Also, the timing of this was absolute bullshit but luckily STHS is crap so Buffalo didn't have to suffer because of it.
Also, bold prediction: Buffalo will win the cup this season.
