TSN: Hi, Leshaun thanks for talking with us. We missed you after the Detroit game, so was hoping we could talk to you briefly about both games.

Leshaun King: Yeah for sure, I missed you guys to.

TSN: Playing against Detroit you obviously have to keep your eye on the SMJHL leading scorer Pingy Pingu. What makes Pingy such a dangerous player on the ice?

Leshaun: Yeah, I mean obviously he's a really talented player, and he's surrounded by some very talented line mates. It's not just Pingy, Wolfhard Richter is a force from the blue line and Kimmer is obviously dangerous to. But with Pingy it's just how well rounded he is, like there isn't a flaw to his game, and he works really hard. So we just have to make sure to take away his time and space. Obviously we couldn't shut him down that game and he was able to open the scoring.

TSN: The Detroit game was the Kovacs brothers first night as the first line, what was it like moving down the line up.

Leshaun: I'll play anywhere, I have absolute faith in our coaching staff. If it was up to any of us, we'd play ourselves all 60 minutes, so it's a good thing its not up to us. But I need to step up still, four shots in over 4 minutes of power play is just not acceptable. 14/24 in the faceoff circle is a bit of an improvement, but need to be burying some more of those chances.

TSN: Player of the game for you against detroit?

Leshaun: 100% was Oli, big goal in the first to tie it up, sets up his brother in the second to take the lead, and 22 minutes on the ice 5 of which was on the power play. So, a great game by him, really making the most of his opportunity right now, so I hope he keeps on it.

TSN: Moving along to your second game against Vancouver, Vancouver got their revenge and has tied the season series at 2. Again you were out shot, again 3 penalties, buried you a bit at times. Whats been hard about playing against Vancouver?

Leshaun: They're a deep team, they've been contneders for awhile, they have that sort of veteran experience and it shows in a game by game shift by shift basis. They stay steady and they get the job done, we need to learn from them honestly.

TSN: Walk us through your goal in the first to open the score.

Leshaun: Yeah was 2 minutes into the game, so was on my first shift, was a bit of a funny play. Pierre Laroche-Durocher intercepted Buck Mavericks pass, moved it up to Quinn, Quinn skated it into the zone, and got it poked away from him. I was able to pick it up in the corner. Threw it on net and Santos got the save. Crush hacked away at the rebound and Santos came up big again, the rebound sort of bounced out to me then on the other side. I passed it back to Durocher, he moved it to Quinn, got the goalie moving side to side, Quinn found me open and I was able to get an open look at some empty net and buried it.

TSN: Crush has mentioned he's undergoing a bit of change of philosophy in his game to be able to help the team win, likely will take some time to see this change consistently but what does that mean to the team when a guy with the status like Crush Cile does something like that for your club, to have more success.

Leshaun: Honestly it's amazing, it humbles us all, and reminds us all that the team always comes first. We all want to win for each other, but things like that make us want to win for Crush even more. He's an amazing guy and an amazing player and I'm excited to spend my junior career with him.

TSN: Leshaun thanks for doing this, best of luck in your back to back against montreal.

Leshaun: Anytime, see you next game.
