Sunday Funday: Pregame Meal
#46

For his pregame meal, Rove likes to eat a bread sandwich. That's two pieces of white bread with a third stacked between for some extra bread. For some reason he hasn't been able to get the rest of the locker room on board with it though...

The gameday meal for Maksimov is a Build your Own Pizza from Blaze Pizza. Half classic red, half spicy red sauce. Mozza, ovalini, and feta cheese. Followed by chicken, italian sausage, ham, and bacon. Topped with cherry tomoatos, red onions, spinach, and green peppers.

Being in Texas I love all the local food. BBQ especially is my favorite. I love chicken and brisket and all that good stuff.

Reginald MacIntyre often sits down to bangers and mash before he leaves home with his gear, well in advance of the game and putting it on. Haggis doesn't quite taste the same in the States.

As all goalies have some zany pre-game rituals they must follow, Chris Partridge is no exception. While a typical chicken, rice and broccoli meal would be welcomed by any pro-athlete, Partridge opts to instead go for a full order of Korean fried chicken early into the afternoon of a game day, followed by a deep pre-game nap/food coma that properly nourishes him for the energy expenditure to come.

Ulrich loves chicken and will try to find anyway he can to incorperate chicken into his pregame meals. Fried, smoked. Whole chicken, chicken breasts, thinly sliced chicken, it does not matter what shape or size it is, as long as it's in the meal.

Before every game, Duce eats a chicken pot pie and has an Irish Car Bomb to wash it down with. It was his tradition playing in the minors, and it's followed him up to the SHL level.

Wächter does love italien food, so he always eat a lasagne. Maybe not the ideal pre game food but its so good.

Shooter's pregame meals depend on the time of the game. Typically he'll have pasta and fruit before night games, but eat lighter for afternoon games, usually only having fruits and veggies. He believes that fruit and vegetables are the way to go, especially for stamina. This seems to have held true early on in his rookie season, as he has scored two big goals in the third period.

Volkova has always had the guilty pleasure of eating her mother's homemade pelmeni before every game. This habit has become difficult to maintain, however, now that she's moved to Winnipeg, as her parents stayed in Florida. Despite this, her mother does her best to send Volkova monthly supplies of pelmeni so that she can just heat them up before every game and have a little piece of home.

Viktor Marius will most likely be eating whatever that day's Tinder date doesn't finish. Maybe a pasta dish too.

Daniel Karlsson eats a romantic meal consisting of French food he can't pronounce with Connor Blackwell's sister before every game he plays

Bergen's meal plan for game days largely remains the same. The day starts with a full English breakfast, then later on in the day a nice spicy curry, He finds it gives him a little extra fire for the game. However if the game is on a Sunday the curry is replaced by a good roast dinner, either beef or chicken.

The one thing LKS loves more than anything else is thai food. Tastes great going down, doesn't cause any bowel issues or during game has issues and is somewhat healthy depending on what you get. Thai Basil Chicken is a personal favourite hands down.
