ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE KELOWNA KNIGHTS

With the S45 SMJHL Entry Draft in the books and a new roster in place, the Kelowna Knights are happy to announce our next leadership core for the S45 SMJHL Season. We're extremely excited to be selecting three players that both the management team and the roster support, and have shown immense maturity and commitment to our core values both on and off the ice. Without further delay, ladies and gentlemen, these are the captains for your S45 Kelowna Knights.

Alternate Captain - "A" - Karlstraße Scholz ( @karlssens )

New arrival Karlstraße Scholz is the first recipient of the letters. The S45 2nd Overall Pick is a recent addition to the Kelowna Knights roster, and has already found a brand new home for himself on the Knights' blueline. He has shown the off-ice qualities every Kelowna Knight strives for: perseverance, maturity and dedication. Scholz is a great leader, and a tremendous part of the Kelowna Knights organization, displaying veteran qualities and helping the Knights both on and off the ice.

Alternate Captain - "A" - Nickolas Klaus ( @Noble )

Center Nickolas Klaus is the second recipient of the letters. Joining the Kelowna Knights as an undrafted free agent following the conclusion of the S44 SMJHL Entry Draft, Klaus has quickly risen through the roster as a talented forward and an extremely vocal leader. Bringing a sense of maturity and growth to the team, Klaus has been able to match his spectacular rookie season on the ice, with an uncanny ability to bring everyone closer together off the ice.

Captain - "C" - Sanyi Kocsis ( @daBenchwarmer )

Defenseman Sanyi Kocsis is the third recipient of the letters. The Hungarian defenseman joined the Kelowna Knights in the S44 SMJHL Entry Draft as the 10th Overall Pick, and has quickly become one of the core players of the team. He has grown significantly since joining the Knights organization, and has progressed immensely. Being a vocal on-ice leader, Kocsis brings these qualities off the ice to help include all members of the Knights organization.

On behalf of the Kelowna Knights organization, we would like to congratulate these three young players.
