Pre Season



Mike McKorsys Pre Season wasnt as good as he has expected. Many goals against and a bad Sv% by 0,870 in 50 games started is not what Mike McKorsy wants his stats look like. "Maybe I want tell you excuses for my bad start and bad stats, I can only blame myself for this. I have to apologize to my teammates, and I can only promise that I train harder to get better results in my game. And to all people from outside who mean they can critizise me (Casimir Stevens /@Daco ), that only motivates me even more to bring back may game."

"It’s a hard transition from Europe to North America. Especially as a goalie with the speed of the game and the smaller rink," says his Agent Flames848. "I know this kid since he can run, and I know that he will fight for his career her in the SMJHL and later in the SHL. Maybe we will see how his development goes, but I think in one ore two seasons the trophy for the best goalie in the juniors can only be won by playing better than Mike McKorsy." The Pre Season started with some technical issues, and the lines weren’t as they should be. But that’s what Pre Season is installed for. And without a GM over the Xmas-Days overall it was a fun first preseason.

Regular Season

The regular season started with 2 Losses in Shoot-Out. "Yeah, that’s an Attribute where I hadn’t an eye on in training camp this year, I thought I would be more worth to improve my skills in the open game. But you can bet, that this will be someday in my training program for the offseason too."

"Now I am doing all the point tasks (even a few minutes ago I talked with Andrej Dscozjil @citizen of Adraa about life and made some team bonding) and stuff. I hope the new general manager of the Halifax Raiders will be announced soon.  From sources I heard there were a lot of applications. I hope GM StamkosFan will get his effort rewarded. But if there would be a new General Manager, this would be a very interesting time too. I am very pleased that I got so many starts in the Pre Season and in the regular games now too. I hope I can develop my game with getting many games under my belt early." That what Mike McKorsy talked about after his first 2 regular season games in north America. *1

Ice-Chips: The Halifax Raiders announced their Captains and Assistant Captains. Captain of the Team is Dom Montgomery. By his side Assistant Captains  Jimmy Slothface and Perry Morgan will help to bring the necessary leadership to the raiders locker room. "I think the board have nominated the right guys for these jobs. They are very vocal in the locker room and very active on and of the ice. I think they can handle the rivalries that are between our team and some other teams best. I hope it doesn’t get out of fairness, some trash-talk is ok, but with style and respect."



*1 Between the time of writing and publishing this article the Head Office named@Jearim the new General Manager of the Halifax Raiders. Temporary GM @StamkosFan was not amused about this and now has a new job at another SMJHL-Franchise. He works as a Scout at the Detroit Falcons Organisation now.

Statement Mike McKorsy

"It’s a hard decision for the front office to go over @StamkosFan to install another member as the new Boss in Halifax. Hard for @StamkosFan, hard for the new GM @Jearim and hard even for the team and head office. But in the head office is so much experience, I think it was a good sophisticated decision by them. My preference would have been a split GM-Job between @Jearim and @StamkosFan. But @StamkosFan decided not be part of a split-solution and left us. I wish him all the best in Detroit with the falcons and thank him for the great job he has done for our team, our locker room as replacement for the great GM King. At this point I would welcome the new GM and hope we work together well"
