No need for me to single anyone out or start a crazy witch hunt but I heard from someone on your team that you guys had gotten Winter to get Hansel to sign in so you could nominate him as your active.

Well by posting this you are starting a witch hunt, lead by me.

But I don't understand da issue here. Hmm

So you heard from someone that we could have maybe, possibly, told Winter to get Hansel active

I like this because it is a strong argument

Of course it was me who tried to get Hansel to log in, I know him from an EHM-league and after we signed him for depth I tried to get him active for the last few weeks. I thought people knew? It didn't really work out, just like with some other recruits of mine that I had tried to reactivate in the past (Viltonen for example) but he at least agreed to log in and use his contract money from this season to do a training. And this way we could make him available for the Expansion-Draft.

The thing is:

Everyone knew that this loophole existed.

I (and some others as well) tried to close it, we proposed different methods how this could've happened but they got shut down! The league decided to go a different way because they didn't want the expansion teams to get too many decent players and I had to accept that.

But if there is a loophole and you willingly decide not to close it or even claim that it isn't a loophole after all, you can't expect players not to use it. I tried to get this loophole closed, I lobbied really hard for it. But the league said "That's not a problem" and then I did exactly what the rules allowed me to do, because according to what was decided that was, well... "Not a problem" Smile

Nobody from the Chiefs told me to do this by the way. This was my thing so please don't blame JP or Boon if you don't like it.

You read well, I heard from someone on your team that that's exactly what happened. Not maybe probably, who cares if it did? It wasn't even breaking a rule but I can see the Dragons point when they get punished in a similar circumstance and the Chiefs are the main ones laying into them and then down the road they do something comparable and suddenly no one knows anything. Also very curious to see Winter the guy who always has something to say come in to this thread more than once and not post lol. (NVM :lolSmile

But again who cares

I am tired of this thread, someone managed to do what the majority of the league tried to do. Now you all are angry...get over it. He was within the set rules, you can't blame the guy for making a smart decision.

Not a loophole since we knew this would happen. Plus, it's not against the rules either and is perfectly in line with them. Nothing was wrong with the rules since we got what we wanted; a few actives and then roster fillers.

Thank goodness this is over...

I KNEW EVERYTHING, HAHA

This.

I myself wanted to close the loophole, but as Spangs said. the league didn't see it as a loophole and decided to not change the rules and what happened is exactly what they wanted.

Nate and Wadey can keep hatin but Chiefs did nothin wrong, and like Bolt said no PMs or emails were sent through the site. Not sure why people are still discussing this.

And damn, Jesster did a great job drafting. Goose and Stammer in an expansion draft, dats impressive. + Ahmed is actually one of the better inactive forwards around IMO.

OH SHIT! I forgot to tell Jesster that it's require by the league to have McFallahan be in the Vegas organization. Guess he'll have to trade him. Undecided

Honestly, if he knew someone who was inactive on his team, he'd have been an idiot not to at least try it. I know Chisling can confirm I sent him a PM a while back (right after he lost out on expansion GM) asking if he could get Volkov to log back on, hoping he'd help me out as a way of smiting the expansion for not selecting him. He did not do so, which makes sense since Chisling wouldn't really gain anything from helping me in this case (nor am I sure he still has contact with Volkov anyway), in which case I executed plan B, a facebook message to Zach Voss. He was all set to sign on, until he discovered his password wasn't working, which was because he was so inactive that he hadn't even made an account on the new site. He bailed when he found out that he had to register instead of just log in. Finally I had to implement plan C, which was to nominate a guy I know from VHL and MFA (Toby Keith), who doesn't particularly care for the league but agreed to do a podcast and spend contract for me, and who almost assuredly won't do the same for Wadey or any other GM. In fact, Wadey can also confirm I made arrangements ahead of time to try to trade with him to get Toby Keith back, assuming he'd take him. I hadn't made similar arrangements with Jesster, but I'd certainly have tried to after the fact if he'd taken him. Everything Winter did was well within the rules, and in fact was the smartest thing he could do for his team.

I'm not hating, I said like 5 times that you guys did nothing wrong, I was just calling into question the fact all the Chiefs were being like it was a coincidence or something, I expected teams to do this lol.
