As the Knights work their way through the regular season, much praise has been given to Head Coach Alex Santos and his coaching staff. However, one notable absence in Kelowna has been General Manager Axel Dark, who unbeknownst to all went for a trip to Europe, leaving Baron von Hecht @CptSquall to hold the fort in the meanwhile.
Investigating a possible lead from Head Scout Mark Galloway @daBenchwarmer on an unscouted talents, Axel Dark headed to France, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden before ending his trip in northern Finland a few days after training camp had ended and the team gearing up for pre-season.

By the time Pre-Season had ended, the Knights announced they had signed Finnish forward Nathan Explosion @micool132 to a rookie SMJHL contract. Not much was known about the winger but he described his play as that of a Power Forward and someone that loved to fight and hit around the dirty areas. Explosion replaced Tobias Elliot who had a less than stellar pre-season and was promptly cut just before the regular season began.
Explosion made his presence felt right away and did not seem the least bit bothered by the change to North American sized ice.
When asked about his acquisition, Axel Dark responded:

‘’A General Manager’s job is never done and we believe that we need to explore all avenues and find talents beyond the draft. Signing Nathan [Explosion], was the fruit of our ongoing scouting process. We are still looking at certain talents around the globe and even here in North America.’’
