Yeah I'm not really a fan of the "not learning anything upon death" appraoch either, at the very least you should know wolf or not-wolf in my opinion. But it's an age-old question in these games and it's understandable to not do it.
I'm not so sure about killing Atlas, he just seems... Too eager to die or at least cast suspicion upon himself. Would be hell of a risk to play that way as a WW, although they could've have him act as sort of a wildcard while the rest of them act more quiet and agreeable.
