TODAY WE SHALL BE DOING A MOCK DRAFT
BUT IT IS THE BLOOS EDITION
quick note: all picks aren’t set yet (at least I don’t think) so there will be a fair amount of discrepancies for picks I guess
Round 1: ALL DE TOP PROSPECTS GO HERE
PICK 1:
DE COLORADO RAPTORS SELECT HUGH JAZZ
Hugh Jazz is Hallsy’s second player and already weighs in at a whopping 185 TPE. The Canadian right wing would immediately become one of Colorado’s best players and help shape up a horrible team.
PICK 2:
DE HALIFAX RAIDAHS SÉLECT JAGGAH FUCQUETTE
Another highly-touted recreate goes here in Waters. He’s got 186 TPE (one more than Hallsy), and should turn Fouquette, a Canadian-born Russian left winger, into a great first liner. Halifax needs a pure scorer, and they’d get one in him.
PICK 3:
DE STINKY FALCONES SELECT NOAH ANDROS
Good old Kimmy retired surprisingly last season, and was quick to recreate as Andros. He’s already got 182 TPE and would be the first defenseman off the board. The Swiss offensive defenseman is a good passer and could be a power play QB as a rookie.
PICK 4:
DE KELOWNA KNOGHTS SELECT SKAO ANAZIBF
Nour is a Kelowna legend, and it only makes sense that he goes back to his old stomping grounds. His new player is a promising Russian playmaker center, but it seems he is more focused on scoring. Anazibf will be a very good player no matter where he goes.
PICK 5:
DE ANCHORAGE ARMADA SELECT JAN ZACHA
Static brings us yet another regen in Jan Zacha, sitting at a nifty 177 TPE. The Czech center is a definite playmaker and would provide a creative spark to the Armada.
PICK 6:
DE LETBRIGE LIONES SELECT PRINCE DEVITT, DUKE OF DUBLIN
The second defenseman off of the board is Irish defenseman Prince Devitt (another regen, this is CFJ’s). Devitt is a bruising defensive defenseman who should be an anchor at the blueline.
PICK 7:
DE VANCUVAH WHALAHS SELECT CODY NOLASTNAME
Yes, I have WiC falling. I’m really dumb, cause WiC is one of the leaders in TPE at 186, and Cody will be a stud. He’s great with the puck and is a high-level scorer. Truly an elite prospect.
PICK 8:
MY BELOVED ST. LOUIS SCARECROWS SELECT ANTHONY ARCHER
Archer is our first new gen selected. Zach has built Archer into a 177 TPE sniper LW from Canada. He’s a pure scorer with decent skating, and should surprise people. Probably the best new gen in this class.
PICK 9:
LE MILITIA DE MONTRÉAL SÉLECTIONNÉ CONOR TANNER
Montreal gets another regen in Conor Tanner, a Moonlander. He is the second player from Keygan, who was the Montreal GM before. Tanner may only have 165 TPE, but Keygan has proven before that his players can develop well.
PICK 10:
THE CHALLENGE CUP CHAMPION ANAHEIM OUTLAWS SELECT BO KANE
Yet another regen goes in Bo Kane, a sniper center from Canada with surprisingly good endurance. The Outlaws get a nice scorer who should be a decent top 6 player at his peak.
ROUND TWO: WHERE MY MOCK ENDS AROUND PICK 17 AND WHERE PROSPECTS GET THIN
PICK 11:
DE RAPTOROS SELECT KNOX PHONE BOOTH
Yes, I have a goalie going very early. Booth has 163 TPE, and has been earning decently. He’s got great hands and should be a backup before starting next season.
PICK 12:
THE OAKLAND RAIDERS SELECT JAKE PRIMEAU
Jake Primeau is the third new gen off the board. He’s got 167 TPE, slightly above Booth, but is at a position that is less of a commodity. Jake is another sniper Canadian center and has shown some real promise. He could be a sleeper pick.
PICK 13:
THE SMELLY FALCONS SELECT MARTIN KAKKO
Kaapo Kakko’s younger brother Martin goes next. The Czech (???) is a left winger, unlike his brother, and is a playmaker, unlike his brother. Should be a decent top 9 guy.
PICK 14:
THE KELOWNA VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS SELECT BRENNAN GRIGGS
A fellow blues fan here, as GriggsB47, who created yesterday, should go fairly early. Griggs is an American two-way defenseman who can pass, defend, and handle the puck. He’ll be a great value pick for Kelowna.
PICK 15:
THE ALASKANS SELECT GOTTA LOVE HONORS BIO
Here’s my personal bias. Irish two-way center Gotta Love Honors Bio is fairly well-rounded, is fairly active, and looks like he could be a solid top 6 guy. He is also a good friend of mine irl (the guy who created him is one of my best friends). I want him to go really high, ngl.
PICK 16:
THE LEONS SELECT STERLING SLAUGHTER
I can’t lie, I love the name. Plus, he’s been fairly active since joining, which is a huge plus. Slaughter, like Griggs before him, should be a very decent value pick.
PICK 17:
THE VANCOUVER RIOTERS SELECT FREDRIK JENSEN
Norwegian two-way defenseman Fredrik Jensen declared for the draft today and has already claimed 3 TPE. Could be be a decent value pick? Probably.
Note: most of these picks will be horribly wrong
