With the season already started the Detroit Falcons are without a captain to steer them throughout the season and to potential glory. The reason this took so long is it was left up to the players to decide who the new captain should be and this took a very long time to get through all the players that had already been at the club along with some new pick ups. This process took roughly a week which made it so the announcement wasn't ready in time for the start of the season, however we can now make an announcement!

The Captains for the S49 SMJHL season are:
