PT 2 - Season Ticket Holders
#16

With season forty eight of the simulation junior major hockey league approaching, the Detroit Falcons decided that it was time for it's newly drafted rookies to be added the the franchise by having a meet and greet with the fans. By far the most popular player was Jagger Foquette, not only because his name is incredible, but also because he is a stud who put up incredible numbers in both the prospect showcase and the pre season. Fans are very eager to see what he can do in the regular season. Another player that was swarmed was Noah Andros, the number one overall pick in the draft this season. Either way, every member of the team was swarmed with eager fans hoping to see their Detroit Falcons storm the league with their new rookies that are full of talent and their veteran leadership that will be provided to them.

With the season fast approaching, the Raptors held a meet and greet for season ticket holders at the arena. The theme was to get to know the players, and more about them. Bohne figured he would do what he does best - cook! What better way to let fans get to know about him than by introducing them to his favorite foods? Bohne did what Bohne does. He made beans. We're talking refried beans, baked beans, four bean chili, pinto beans, bean soup, black beans. He made rice and bean burritos, navy bean soup, and for the vegetarians he made 15 bean soup. He was having the time of his life talking about beans. He even considered leaving hockey and becoming a Bean chef. However, as the day went on, more and more people started to not feel very good. Raptors GM Hamilton (@hhh81) came up to him screaming about what a terrible idea it was to feed thousands of people so many types of beans. Suddenly he smelled it - the hell of a platoon of fans all passing gas, the most vile smell ever according to Hamilton. At the end of the day, Bohne considered it a great success. After all, he loves beans.

Denver Wolfe is an Irish lad with a lot of party in him, so his decision was to help the team (Colorado) with throwing a Boobs, Brew and Breakaways charity event, it would mix three of the greatest things on earth, girls, beer of all sorts and playing one-on-one hockey. We'd be able to host 10k people if we're lucky but the more the merrier. Everyone could participate who buys-in to charity pot with shooting on the goalie and getting that one-on-one experience with an SMJHL player, afterwards also getting a picture and autograph from anyone one player of their choosing. Because Wolfe was one of the major contributors to the idea and helping set everything up, he's praised, however not well-known as he just joined both the league and the team, but he's made a huge impression on everyone who attended the event and all his teammates for kicking off such a huge party before the season.

Part way in to the S48 SMJHL season the Halifax Raiders have decided to celebrate the start of the new season along with any season ticket holders who are able to attend. It was a banger of a night. We parted ON the ice, the booze was flowing, the slaps were shotting. Us players sat back and gave tips to any a lot of the folks on the ice, while they took free shots on our goalie Biz Nasty. Some fights broke out, and we gave tips during that too. Wyatt got incredibly trashed on his IPAs (no not vodka he's not the basic of a Russian). When it was time to sign some shit, he could barely write his name, but I guess thats kind of even more neat. Drunk Ruschoff signatures are even more rare than sober. He also almost got into a fight himself, because everyone kept calling him Ruschkoff. There's no K, but whatever thats OK. All in all it was eventful night, with lots of memories that most people wont be able to hold onto for as long as they'd like. Next year they want to get a giant hot tub, like one half the size of the rink. That'd be cool.

Live from the Four Seasons Halifax, the Halifax Raiders have rented out the entire ballroom to host a celebration of their most dedicated and loyal fans, their season ticket holders. The crowd is dressed to the nines, as the players arrive with their dates and families. With an elegant string quartet and an open bar, what could possibly go wrong in Nova Scotia tonight? Atlas Rush, the Captain of the Halifax Raiders, takes the stage to address the fans.

"Thank you, Raider Nation! It is my pleasure to welcome you to this extraordinary event tonight. I'm sure that some of you are nervous about the festivities that will take place this evening, but I am here to tell you that you will be remembered by your children, and your children's children, and your children's childrens children, for what you are about to take part in tonight. Our rookies are in the room with you, standing by your side, and ready to bark on this ritual with you. So, without further ado, LET'S BURN THIS MOTHER FUCKER DOWN! "

Ah yes, the annual Raiders Pillage is now in full swing. We see Esa Parmberg and Jon Snow light fire to the elegant artwork and pristine walls. Ricky Spanish and Cody climb the facade and rip the chandelier from the ceiling, sending it crashing to the floor. Haley Knight took one lucky fan to do the honors of busting through the walls with a battering ram. Throughout this time honored tradition, let us never forget that the Raiders are here to fuck shit up.

All Vancouver Whalers fans were invited to an annual ‘Meet The Players’ evening taking place at Emerald Blues Arena on Thursday 14th June from 7pm.
A highlight on the calendar for Whalers fans, the fan inspired evening is everyones chance to meet the players in a relaxed and informal environment. All Vancouver Whaler fans were welcome to arrive from 7pm and enjoyed live music from the local country-ska band 'The Fisheye Brothers' before the event started at 7.30pm.

The Vancouver Whalers players joined the assembled quiz teams on the night for a SMJHL and SHL themed quiz and there were loads of great games and entertainment planned with Jacko the Clown from Stankervision hosting on the night.

Everyone had their chance to ask the players questions with a group Q&A at the end of the quiz, and the players happily posed for photos and signings at the end of the event.

There was a full house of supporters that cherished their chance to meet the Whalers squad including Theo Morgan, Aaron Wilson, Kaspars Claude, Artem Mozgov and many more. The Emerald Blues Arena foyer was fully packed with excited kids and their parents. And the highlight of the evening was the Vancouver Whalers GM Arnost Holub unveiling a surprise free agent signing - a relatively unknown overseas player from Lithuania - Mikas Bieksa. The fans did not know what to make of it and really didn't pay that much attention. The fans and some of present media people had the chance to interview the unknown Lithuanian...

But as you can see, the young Lithuanian has to prove himself before anyone wants to take an interview from him. Anyway, the newest Whalers roster addition wasn't too down about the whole ordeal and happily signed his first jersey with his surname on it. He was so proud that he even asked to take a photo of the signed jersey.

It was a beautiful day in Vancouver and a perfect day for the annual season ticket holders event called Whale Day. The veterans were in charge of entertainment, rookies worked the gates and the team management held games inside the arena for charity. For food, management ordered from their favorite pizzeria in town but we wont discuss the price. Thousands of fans gathered to meet the team and filled their bellies

Rookie Artem Mozgov arrived a little late from his flight but luckily he was in time to meet his team before the event. After being assigned a role at the front gate Mozgov agreed and started walking towards his station but that he never made it through all the large crowds, Artem was all over the place and it was clear he had no clue what he was doing. I guess as a new guy some people still don't really know you and with the language barrier it was even harder. A lot of times he was asked to clean up spills, move cars and even change the garbage but he did it all with a smile. He continued to help out all night and never returned to his position at the front gate til the end of the night, nobody noticed but thank god he arrived because nobody called a janitor

The Detroit Falcons could not be looking better after a fantastic preseason and start to the season. Looking like possibly the best team in the entire league this year, with some fantastic rookies to make up the future, the hype around the team could not be more palpable. 10 games into the season, the Falcons organization held an event for season ticket holders, which was attended by nearly 90% of the eligible crowd. Some of the bigger stars on display included rookie phenoms such as Jagger Fouquette and Noah Andros, while veterans such as Savoli Tankovic, Satoshi Zigzagooney and other top talent had their own spotlight shown on them. Events included standard things like meet and greets, autograph signings and Q&A sessions, but there were special events such as a 1v1 tournament between the players, played with mini-nets to challenge the players to skate around the opposition, which was won by Kalvins Zvejnieks. All in all, the event was very well-received by fans and players alike, and especially by Fouquette, who stated "this embodies what I've come to expect from my new team. A super fun atmosphere perpetuated by short spurts of actual, serious hockey for everyone and their mothers to enjoy."

The St. Louis Scarecrows held a special event for its season ticket holders last night at the Enterprise Center. The event included live music by local musicians, and food provided by local restaurants Somkie O's BBQ, IMO's Pizzeria, and Civil Life Brewing company. The whole Scarecrow team and staff were in attendance and featured special events like who has the hardest shot, can you beat the goalie, hockey trivia vs the Scarecrows, and tours of the locker room. For the kids the team brought in an entire arcade with over 20 different video games, along bouncy houses, and obstacle courses. With special prizes including free tickets, jerseys, autographed merch, and free food vouchers. Later in the evening there's a meet and greet with the whole team, which includes getting pictures with players and autographs.

Also at the event, the new Free Agent signing from Russia, Jakub Bruchevski had his first interview. Unlike most interviews he was asked questions from the fans instead of the local media. The questions ranged from; his favorite SHL team, to favorite food, his thoughts on joining the Scarecrows, and how he's adjusting to living in a new country. Reaction from the event is overwhelmingly positive, as the fans loved the chance to hang out with the team for a while, and meet the team's new player.

The Halifax Raiders decided to hold one of their several season ticket holder events a few days ago. This event was a meet and greet opportunity between the players, some key management figures and of course, the incredibly loyal and supportive season ticket holders that the Raiders are fortunate to have. The event was held within the Raiders’ arena and on the actual floor of the arena where the ice is covered when it’s not game-day.

Aside from lines for autographs and photos opportunities between the players and fans, the team also provided a nice amount of snacks and other goodies for fans who attended the event, such as popcorn, cotton candy, several types of candy and chocolates, and a soda machine, as well. Additionally, there were a few special prizes raffled off, such as a team signed jersey, some signed pucks and sticks, and some seat upgrades for a future Raiders game.

Though an exact number wasn’t officially given, it’s speculated that several thousand fans showed up for the event. Most players had equal sized lines, ranging from veterans such as Timmo Kyllonen @Lemonade to rookies such as Ricky Spanish @Whikadoodle. In sum, it was a lovely event for the fans and players to meet and get to know one another better and it emphasized the special bond between both the Raiders and the most dedicated of fans of the team.

It is that time of the year for Anaheim Outlaws fans where they can meet their favorite (and least favorite) players for a greater cause. The Outlaws are a very proactive and philanthropic team and love to give back to their community thus raising money in an event such as this is great as it is given to charities for cancer research. Fans -- for money -- are able to take photos and get autographs from their favorite players and given that the team is a Junior team it is fairly uneven for the interest in the players. As a newcomer to the SMJHL without much experience Leonid Kofix did not receive much interest from the fans however he had a great time fooling around with other players and having fun with the fans who came. This was all for a much bigger cause as the team knew that there was a more important reason for this event rather than a popularity competition. Finally the season ticket holders were eligible to go down on to the ice to shoot on the goaltenders and Kofix would go down there and start shooting extra shots at the goalies for the laughter of the fans. The event was a great success and made a lot of money for cancer research and gave the ticket holders a great time.

The Kelowna Knights are one of the more prestigious franchises in the SMJHL with countless Four Star Cups to their name. As Season Ticket Holders were treated to a S30's reunion game in Kelowna with members from their Four Star Challenge Cup victories. Players like West Kendall's and recent Challenge Cup Champion Alex Light, the recently retired Leafer Rielly, Jason Aittokallio, Trevor Wilson, Geromino Otto, and many more Knight legends, played a great game that brought back memories for Knight Fans from the S30s Kelowna Knight days. With Season Ticket Holders treated to a meet and greet after the gamewith the alumni, current players like Gunnar Soderstorm and Piotr Horvat and new rookies like Prince Devitt, Nicklas Engel and Raquel Castillo Gutierrez, who give the fans great hope over what's to come with the Kelowna Knights over the next few seasons. As the event closed the Season Ticket Holders were met by the GMs of the Kelowna Knights @Zoone16 and @NJBadApple as they gave a few words thanking the season ticket holders for their countless support over the years, supported this great franchise.
