It's become clear that the torch has officaly been passed to the S39 draft class as the dominant force in the SHL.

No no no and a thousand times no. Season 39 runs this league right now and it will run this league until we all retire because the S36 class in the #S36bestclass

For: the S39 deaft class is an insanely good draft class, so many players well into 1000 TPE and tearing up the league year after year, maybe you think the S34 draft class is better but we will see where the S39 class is at their age and how they regress.

For, while I might be bias since I am a member of S39, its pretty clear that the torch has been passed to our class as our top players are all starting to dominate the charts for the league in most categories and many seem to be in the prime for winning many awards this season and for the many coming seasons. Give the old guys their due, they have put it all on the line their whole careers and what do they have to show for their sacrifice, nothing. Don't be heartless.

Some surprising new names are leading the league in total points which includes Lil Manius (29 points), Shooter McGavin (29 points) and Anders Christiansen (28 points) .. one of these 3 will win this seasons point title.

FOR

I can see this happen and that is now the new era. the regression did enough damage to the older stars like Visser or so. The new Stars getting born the next two or three seasons and then they will reign if they keep their work up in the sky. But rentals can also have a big last season. For Season 48 one of them will win it!

Thanks for jinxing all of us with this PT, I cannot speak to Mcgavin or Christiansen only because I am too lazy to check on them, but Lil Manius numbers have suffered since the posting of this PT. Thank Izzy. So I will be making the case that none of us will end up with seasons point title as this PT has doomed us all.

Quote:highly skilled rookie 'Cody', playing in a league of capped forwards, will capture the SMJHL S48 goal-scoring title.

FOR: Cody has fallen off pace in the last few games but this is still doable. The play among the leaders has been fairly inconsistent and I wouldn't be too surprised to see Cody pull it off. Plus, he's still improving where everyone else is capped. Stranger things have happened.

In this skilled rookie class, Chicago forward Kit Smeb will win the rookie of the year award.

Against, Thomas Bathory is clearly the best rookie in the SHL, as proven by his recent to promotion to the 4th pairing alongside Tigole Bitties. Bathory's 2 assist should more than solidify his case.

Since being named Captain, Julio has been a force to be reckoned with in the J. He's a 5v5 Quarterback and is more than willing to let Defenders QB the power play. He's got tremendous Hockey IQ and is a surefire hall of famer.

The Hamilton Steelhawks who are currently leading the Eastern conference are a bigger surprise then the Winnipeg Jets who are currently leading the Western conference.

Against. I think the Steelhawks and Jets leading their respective conferences are just as surprising, and that it doesn't have to be one or the other in this instance. The teams were 8-1 odds to win the cup and are now both poised to be contenders for their respective conferences, which means they have both defied literally the exact same odds to get to the point they are today and potentially get to the big dance and win the title.

Against:

With such a large skilled class there will always be controversy with this years rookie of the year. Kit Smeb has recently taken over the rookie point lead with 21 points, however he currently sits at -9. Smeb is followed closely by Matt Kholin with 19 points who has stayed +2 with 20 minutes a game and near 50 faceoff percentage. Nick Brain has stayed in the mix as well. Even Akashi SixNine, a defenseman might get the nod.

"highly skilled rookie 'Cody', playing in a league of capped forwards, will capture the SMJHL S48 goal-scoring title."

Cody is currently tearing it up in the SMJHL so far this season but it is highly unlikely he finishes with the S48 goal-scoring title. He simply does not have the training and time needed to accomplish such a feat in such a highly skilled capped league. He will definitely be the highest scoring rookie though.

Following in Kelowna and St. Louis footsteps of repeating as champions, the Anaheim Outlaws, currently at the top of the SMJHL standings will win the Four Star Cup for the second season in a row.

against:

Honestly in the smjhl so much can change that i wouldn't count this as a sure fact. Sure we had a few repeat in the recent season, but it's way harder than you think it could be to be able to repeat especially in the smjhl where at the end of the season everyone is capped and have the same build.

False.
The stealhawks massively underperformed in s47, with a solid to good roster. They have been hit in the off-season by a bunch of retirees, but importantly those players are still there for s48. Over 23 wins was easy money in the casino.

Also... Jets are really really surprising, even given a weak western conference.

I feel like you need to edit this... Such a small typo, such a big change.
