Where in the World?

A 15 minute show looking at the top players in the SHL and SMJHL. Only focused on one player per episode because I would not want it to get bogged down in multiple players talking about similar things in the same show or get too long. Where did they grow up, what do they miss about home, childhood stories, maybe get their family on the show as well to share stories or pictures to embarrass the player a bit and make them more human rather than just being players, what cities have they lived in, what do they like most about their current city/team, and where they would like to end up when the SHL ride is all over.

Hosted by myself because I came up with it and maybe a zany character like @r1c3bowl22 because he is the worst, but could probably be a little funny if need be, hopefully.

The daily snu would be a show about all things thunderdome. If you got any issue, or rumor that there's an issue snussu will thunderdome the shit out of it on air. Examples would include 1 second late sims where he calls for the immediate resignation of both smjhl and SHL simmers. Or when any punishment is served HO needs to be fired and replaced with people of his choice.
The biggest most successful TD would be to change from the God awful font that is used on the site. A petition to change it to comic sans bold eveywhere. This would eventually also lead to a decline in users on the site and lesser member such as kit and thatdamnwalrus would have key jobs. Meaning even more mayhem would ensure. Snussus ability to TD anything and everything would make for a great radio show, but maybe not so much something to lead the league with.

If I have to put an idea together for a show on the SHL network, you know it is going to be something that is Big Slappy Hour related. Therefore, the rough idea for the Big Slappy Hour SHL network show would be this. The general set location would be a bar. Where Slappy and myself would conduct interviews with various SHL personalities and players. We would also have a rotation of guests would the honorary bartender for the show and provide a third perspective to the discussion. The show would be a weekly one hour broadcast unless we could earn additional TPE or cash for broadcasting longer. We would have to include some time in during the show to answer viewer mail as that should cut down on the amount of planning for Slappy and myself. We would also send a bit of time during the regular season provide a through analysis of the SHL fantasy league.

Most eyes are going to be on televisions when the kids go to bed and the parents can watch the good stuff. We will save all the Tunderdome shows until after midnight but everyone loves some gossip and rumors and @Samee should get to host a fifteen minute segment every night started at 8:30 p.m. where he gets to leak insider information and trades, but also make up a slew of bullshit so we are left to pick and choose what's real and what isn't. He could be SHL's version of Dave Meltzer. The show could be called "The 15 Minute Leak" or "Bathroom Break" or something like that. Samee could get to divulge all this information and even have breaking stories come in through his headset. At times we could have actual players do in studio interviews where Samee breaks the news that they have been traded before their GM can tell them.

I think that if we are going to have an SHL Network, we need to have a show based off of the most popular and famous Discord server that isn't league related but is still all people from the league: Nipple Nuggey 2: Electric Boogaloo. This server is home to some of the league's best talents such as Teddy Cuddles, Aleister Cain @SlashACM , Luke Thomason @"luketd" , DeMaricus Smyth @Blastmeaway , Brady McIntyre @caltroit_red_flames and many more. The show could be a reality TV show of some sorts where the camera people follow around members of the server and see how they interact on a daily basis. There would need to be very strong editing behind the scenes so that players like The Dude @Dude and Clint Eastwood @Clint Eastwood do not get banned from the league. The porn area must also be hidden for the children. Lots of drama could come out of this TV show and it would be very interesting, for example, the beef between Cuddles and Thomason which I will continue here:

Introducing "We Stole SHL Player's Phones and Read Off 10 Entries in Their Browsing History!" (working title). This is a new, recurring program that is only about 3 minutes in length per person that the SHL Network can use to help fill time gaps between programming (we can get it sponsored by T-Mobile too, they'll sponsor anything). It's exactly what it sounds like too - phones are kidnapped and aggressively snooped through for everyone to see. The SHL Network only starts playing these after 10pm, as they're completely uncensored and often won't be of the SFW type of entertainment. Of course, our premiere will be me going through Monkey D Luffy's phone @TnlAstatine, where I find 10 links that are all google image searches of pictures of Sam Jalopski (@ThatDamnWalrus)? Weird stuff, whatever floats his boat I guess. We can keep that thread going and keep viewers on the lookout for what happens next, and due to the short, filler nature of the program they'll have to keep watching to see us finally go through Jalopski's phone.

I think a good idea for a show would be an off season introspective. The premise would be each episode follows a team over the off season and players can volunteer to show what they do in the off season. Whether they spend time at the cottage, train, travel, fundraise, party, double life, etc. The show would likely be an hour long around the prime time slot. It would give a human element for the fans. For example, I have always been interested in what Ekko Van Otter (@hotdog ) does in his off season, being an otter and all would make a mighty interesting segment. Or Jimmy Slothface (@slothfacekilla ), is Slothface as lazy as his namesake states? Or @~~Mike Izzy~~ , what sort of monstrous training does he do in the off season to keep in shape? Best of all my own teammate; @Trautner, what does Michael Scarn himself do in the off season? Lots of stories to tell from all teams.

A show that the SHL could create is akin to what the NFL calls "hard knocks". It features a single team for an entire season with behind the scenes footage at practice, games, team get togethers, etc.. SHL players are serious characters and could easily keep this kind of show entertaining. Really it would be a dream idea for any film maker. I'd say to stay away from hosting any team like the Detriot Falcons of the SMJHL as they'd just SKREE the whole time and it would be a pretty terrible season. Another idea would be a 30 for 30 of each draft class in the SHL, going through where they are now and highlighting the interesting events of their draft class. You might have to feature a few draft classes on each episode as there seems to be a lot of busts along the way in each draft. Maybe not so much of a great show as the first idea.

We follow different members of the Calgary Dragons as they go through different restaurants in Calgary and the cities they travel to on road trips, as they try out different Chicken Parms! Here’s the idea I have. Overdone to be honest but quite interesting to watch. A cooking show. I would have each season a faceoff between every team in the league to figure out who has the best cook in the team. I would have first an ‘audition week’ where each team would send four candidates in order to be able to circle out their all-star. After that, I would have those winners face off in a battle of the division where they would face three other chefs in their division, one for each team. After that, you get the final face off where each conference would face off against each other to know who’s the best in the league. This would be a good show to have right before the games as it’s around dinner time. Ok that would be only three episodes though so it’s not really good for a season. Maybe you do one serie each week where the winner can’t participate to the next show. At the end of the season you’d have 12 candidates to do a ‘final round’ during the playoff where it would be the best of the best. Players such as Oisin Fletcher @Evok would be quite amazing to see in that show.

The premise is that we get two of our most dynamic players in the league, Mike Izzy and Louie Garret and have them play different sports for a week, every day with different sports. Like on Monday they play Croquet and the winner gets a golden Mallet. The next day they play underwater polo. I would predict Louie Garret would win that one as he is the superior underwater player. Mike Izzy would be weighed down heavily by all of fat he is acquiring as he entering his 30's. On Wednesday they would play spikeball with their teammates. I would think Mike Izzy and his teammate would win that one. On Thursday they would play Chess, as Hockey players needed some high IQ in the game, it should translate well to chess as well. On Friday they would play Field Hockey, as it is Hockey on the ground. On Saturday they would play archery. And on Sunday they would return to hockey and then it shows what they learned from each game.

The SHL Network has launched a new live podcast show with Chicago's own Cameron Carter II. The Deep Dive, now rebranded after his spat with Tampa Bay for trading him at least season's deadline, will now be known as 'Underworld Dealings'. Another name that will probably need to be changed after the Syndicate inevitably ship him off. He will take live calls from viewers at the end of the show and will interview prospects and players in the SHL. Some segments may be CC2 convincing young players to get to the SHL as soon as possible, trying to force Rex Kirby to sign a 6.5Mx10Yr deal with WKP and talking about his Dar Nomination aspirations. The main idea of the show is to allow other players to understand that they can get paid more while playing in a desirable situation. Come tune in to see CC2 blame every other player on his team for their misfortunes and take credit for anything good taking place.

I'd make a show called backyard rinks. It would center around a player showing off his house, his cars, where he grew up, etc... However, the show would also involve a pickup game with locals (from rec or floor hockey leagues) from their home town, as the player featured in the episode can choose an opponent (likely a fellow teammate) to battle. The loser of the game will have to do some weird, funny, or nasty thing as punishment for losing, so the pickup game will still be decently competitive. Of course, the punishment will be televised, but a shout-out and donation to charities of the two teammates playing will be made as well. I figure this would be perfect to run during the summertime as a marathon, but also during the season at an afternoon weekend slot. Finally, we would have a season end tournament, where the winners of each show would battle In a tournament, ending with an East versus West Final, and the winner will get a monetary prize sent to his hometown (the finalist will get a smaller prize if they do the punishment).

We would like to introduce the newest show to our S48 Line up. Premiering this Sunday will be the first installment of the Fantasy Focus, we will spend an hour every Sunday looking over the fantasy Studs and Duds, Sleepers and breakout players of the SHL. With Fantasy being such a nice boost to our athletes, this gives players the inside scoop on how to scale the rankings and end up at the top of the Leader boards. With the hosts of Filip Zadina and Charlie Serpe leading the way we also expect there to be some slight bias with there assessment's of this seasons top candidates. Along with Serpe and Zadina, there will be plenty of guests stars stopping by the studios to give their input and analysis on who to draft when and where. Don't worry there will be plenty of mock drafts because whose doesn't love digging into and judging those.
