Weekend Funtime: Hard Knocks
#61

Hard Knocks List:
**1. Minnesota Chiefs
2. Hamilton Steelhawks
3. Manhattan Rage
4. Los Angeles Panthers
5. Calgary Dragons

#1 Team Explanation: It's been a chaotic season for the Chiefs, with the tampering debacle and a very questionable trade and whatnot. It would be interesting to find out what's going on inside the organization, and I feel like a lot of people would tune in to watch this episode.

Hard Knocks List:
**1. Winnipeg
2. Tampa Bay
3. Minnesota
4. Manhattan
5. Hamilton

#1 Team Explanation: I want to watch myself on TV, that would be pretty slick. Also Winnipeg is outperforming many peoples predictions of being a lottery team for a third season in a row, in a race with New Orleans for first in the west. Could be a cool story to follow

Hard Knocks List:
**1.Tampa Bay Barracudas
2.Los Angeles Panthers
3.Calgary Dragons
4.West Kendall Platoon
5.Buffalo Stampede

#1 Team Explanation: The most interesting training camp is naturally that of a team that is full of developing talent, as showing off to the world how they train young players into the best players in the world will make for gripping viewing. I chose one of these for each conference to follow, hence Los Angeles number 2, with some of the most promising prospects and rookies, including two particularly highly touted prospects in Borromini Cannelini and Tony Ford. The team from the east with obviously the most fascinating prospects to follow is Tampa, as they have serious depth in prospects, but also some top prospects including Olivier Cloutier @Jenny and Gunnar Soderberg @sköldpaddor, and following the development of these players is obviously the best way to cause interest, as people always want to see the young stars improve.

Hard Knocks List:
**1. Manhattan Rage
2. Minnesota Chiefs
3. New Orleans Specters
4.Buffalo Stampede
5.West Kendall Platoon

#1 Team Explanation: The Rage has some of the youngest players that are top earners. We can see how it's becoming more and more crucial for the Rage to win soon before regression hits their top players.

#1 Team Explanation:
The New England will be an interesting team to follow. After a couple of trades this season the team from Boston arguably possess the most talented first line unit in the SHL by some referred as the "Ferocious Five" (Tigole Bitties, Ensio Kalju, Anders Christiansen, Manuel Gotze and Herb Robert). SHL Network will follow these five players in particular to see how they cope with the high expectations from their supporters and how they influence the young prospects on and off the ice.
I really like NEW as a selection because of the GM aspect. Along with meeting the players, watching the GM's make their decisions and structure their franchise's future is very interesting, and with Studs like Ace and Otter calling the shots, I think that could be an interesting enough programming on its own. Two of the sites better personalities, a mix of experience, and the excitement of the rebuild and roster adjustments would be a must watch / DVR and binge during a lazy sunday morning TV.

Hard Knocks List:
**1. Stars
2.  Wolfpack
3.  pride
4.  Specters
5.   Rage

#1 Team Explanation: Troy fucking Reynolds. Need I say more? Yes I do to meet the word count. The dude is a fucking party animal. He's calmed down in recent seasons but fuck when the dude burst onto the scene I've never seen anything like it. He could do 5 lines of coke, down a bottle of vodka, and be good to go for about a week.

Hard Knocks List:
**1. Buffalo Stampede
2. West Kendall Platoon
3. Calgary Dragons
4. Hamilton Steelhawks
5. San Francisco Pride

#1 Team Explanation: Buffalo always seems to be in the spotlight, for better or for worse. They have tons of interesting characters, I think a TV series delving into the Stampede organization would be an interesting watch.

3. Minnesota Chiefs

Hard Knocks List:
**1. Tampa Bay
2. Minnesota
3. Toronto
4. Manhattan
5. Chicago

#1 Team Explanation:
Tampa Bay is an up and coming young team that wasn't expected to do this well coming into the season. Following them throughout the season and showing how they're reacting to this season would be a great story to follow.

Hard Knocks List
1. New England Wolfpack
Having missed the playoffs both of the previous two seasons, New England has struggled to find the offensive and defensive consistency to support an above-average goaltender. New England finds themselves currently out of a playoff position this season through 40 games, and is likely to be the only team to miss the playoffs each of the previous three seasons.

2. Los Angeles Panthers
Los Angeles has had arguably a worse stretch over the past two seasons, however has made the playoffs more recently than New England has. Their GMs know they are in the midst of a rebuild and will likely be so for another few seasons, and could even find themselves at the #1 spot into next season.

Above are really the only two teams worth making the Hard Knocks show, as other teams have either found their way up in relevance, or are at the back end of their contender status.

3. Manhattan Rage
Manhattan has been on a constant decline since their 61-point S46 campaign. They currently sit at the bottom of the league with 28 points and a league-worst -46 goal differential.

4. San Francisco Pride
San Francisco, while in a playoff spot currently, has been in and out of the playoffs for the past few seasons. Never quite at the bottom, they haven't shown that they should be in the conversation of relevance either.

5. Chicago Syndicate
I know, I know, what is a recent expansion team doing on this list? Well, they are second from the bottom, only ahead of Manhattan. Their expansion counterpart, New Orleans, currently sits on top of the Western Conference and has yet to finish below 2nd in the West since their inaugural season. Chicago, on the other hand, has struggled to get off the ground.

#1 Team Explanation: San Francisco pride have and up and coming team that features a lot of young stars, taking a look inside the locker room and the development of these players and the path they are taking to eventually be a top team in the SHL.

Hard Knocks List:
1: Buffalo
2: Minnesota
3: Calgary
4: WKP
5: Winnipeg

I want to see what goes on in Buffalo. They have a lot of good things going on over there and they need to get some time to shine. Watching the Chiefs will be very interesting after some big moves from them.

#1: Steelhawks
#2: Wolfpack
#3: Renegades
#4: Specters
#5: Platoon

#1 Explanation: I think the Steelhawks are on the cusp of becoming the next big franchise in the league. I would love to have an insider look at the LR and management to see what makes this organization tick.

Hard Knocks List:
1. Minnesota Chiefs
2. San Fran Pride
3. Buffalo Stampede
4. Tampa Bay Barracuda
5. Chicago Syndicate

#1 Team Explanation: The Chiefs are in the middle of a rebuilding era due to the bad decisions made by a previous GM of the team. Being able to witness this rebuild process would be an amazing bit of television for the fans to witness

Hard Knocks List:
**1. Tampa Bay
2. Chicago
3. Nola
4. West Kendall
5. Buffalo

.1 So for me I think any of the expansion teams would make a quality Hard Knocks. Although I'd prefer it back to when they originally expanded I think a Hard knocks on what they are doing to try to "Catch up" To the other teams in the league would be interesting. Not just with the players and what it feels like to be playing in a newer orginization but also the front office and what they were doing to try to become closer to the other teams.
