You know those crazy asian tv shows that have contestants (sometimes athletes) compete and do ridiculous things? Well, that’s what my agent signed me up for so I couldn’t back out. You always laugh at it when you see clips posted on the internet, particularly of the few Steph Curry did. You never dream of actually being in those situations. Puck handling through fifty little kids skating around while also being shot at by foam ball launching cannons sounds crazy on paper. But when you gear up and skate on the ice to see everything in action, whew. A whole ‘nother level. The end “goal” was to skate the length of the ice weaving (bull-dozing) through fifty seven to ten year old skaters with a regulation puck while dodging the foam balls. Once to the end of the rink, the object was to squeeze the puck in-between two sumo wrestler goalies guarding a comically small net.

Everyone knows how big of a fan I am of The Simpsons. I've seen every episode, know all the words, lines, quotes, and lyrics. It's a way of life, not just a TV show. One day, my agent came to me and said he had an offer for me to be a guest star on a popular tv show. My interest immediately picked up, thinking about what show it could be. When he told me that The Simpsons wanted me to be a guest voice on the show, I almost cried. I accepted right away and tried to wrap my head around the whole situation.

I got to the studio and met the voices of The Simpsons. I was in heaven. I talked their heads off for a bit before I met the man himself, Matt Groening. We exchanged pleasantries and he handed me the script. I was going to be playing an exchange student from Canada who becomes friends with Bart which makes Milhouse jealous. Shenanigans ensue and eventually we form a group of 3 until my family moves me away again. Honestly, the script didn't matter to me, I was going to be a citizen of Springfield and that was enough for me. We ran the episode and I said my goodbyes and thank yous.

A dream came true for me that day and it's something that I'll never forget.

In early June 2019, my agent offered me a guest host role on WWE's flagship show, Monday Night Raw at a Los Angeles taping. My role on the show would be to appear in a couple backstage segments throughout the night, interacting with different wrestlers and maybe making some matches, while also doing a few in ring segments. The main theme throughout the night was Braun Strowman, WWE's resident monster among men, wasn't too pleased with me after making a few jokes at his expense. The last segment I appeared in was a face to face with 6'8”, 340 pound Strowman. After being confronted by Strowman, he grabbed him and hit me with a running slam. Look, I've taken a bunch of Mike Izzy bodychecks in my rookie season but nothing could compare to that pain. After a few referees and backstage personal helped me to the back, Vince McMahon gave me a quick “good job kid” and did not acknowledge the assault that went on during that last segment. This ended my guest hosting job on Monday Night Raw.

In early June my agent contacted me because Mythbusters builder Adam Savage's new show, Savage Builds was going to recreate forging and using King Arthur's Excalibur. They wanted someone with an athletic build to wield and attempt to use the long sword as a novice as King Arthur did in the folk legends before handing it off to a professional swordsmith to wield and show properly. So, in last Friday's Savage Build's, the world got to watch Colorado Raptors star Defenseman Eric Vanderberg "pull" Excalibur from its rock home and swing it with some success against simulated bad guys before handing it off to a professional swordsmith and self-defense expert.

The analysis was clear, it was probably impossible for someone to drive a sword into bedrock like it was without destroying the blade. However, should you be able to pull it from the stone, it was clear that by swinging a sharp sword around any idiot could be king until you take the sword away from him.

Written Task: you have been contacted by your agent to guest star on a television show! in 150 words or more tell us how it all went down! what show was it? How were you involved? how did it turn out?! give us all the juicy details!

Well, the endorsement deals started coming in right after the finals ended and we were bounced in seven. Lots of companies calling to put their claim on the hottest young goalie in the league. My agent gets me set up with a gig so I fly out to LA and they don't really tell me much. They just dress me up in a purple uniform and tell me to block the pucks. What they didn't tell is they had four of the best shooters in the SHL waiting there to shoot at me. Bar down after bar down they told me I did perfectly. I was a little upset. I fly back to New Orleans and wonder what they could be using the footage for. That's when my sister Wendy sends me a youtube link and tells me she's literally dying laughing. It's a god damn swiss cheese commercial. Fuck Commercials

When my agent called me up and said that I was going to be a guest star on a television show called Chopped! I was afraid maybe this was some competition show that maybe was going to end my career by ending with getting my fingers chopped off or something like that.  It turns out, in America, they compete in cooking and put it on TV for people to watch.  I wasn't aware of the show and I don't know how to cook anything other than grandma's Borscht recipe so naturally I decided to do the show.  Being a young guy from Russia over here I thought maybe it would be fun.

I got on the show and didn't know how to cook anything.  So I was really surprised that there were no beets in any of the ingredients they had for us.  I ended up trying to make a carrot borscht but that didn't turn out so well for me.  They decided to send me home after the first round.  Some guy named Mario Lopez beat me out along with some guy named Puck who I guess was a meth head on TV at some point in his life.  I'm not really sure who they were.  Overall I say it was a fun enough time, but I'll probably stick to hockey from here on out.

In the off-season I put the word out to my agent that I always wanted to be on the Price is Right. He pulled some strings and through the magic of Hollywood I was coming on down the aisle a month later. It was so excited to be sitting there waiting to make a bid against 3 others and try to get my way on stage. Luckily someone on the crew let me know what to bid to make sure I would get called on stage to meet Drew Carey! When I got on stage Drew was laughing about how big I was and said "what are you a hockey player or something?" (he knew I was as it was rigged for ratings to get me on stage from the start). I played along "Yeah man I played for the Edmonton Blizzard in the SHL!" The crowd went wild! Drew says...well Willy how would you like to head back to Edmonton...IN A NEW CAR?!?! Wow!! I went on to win the car and spun 69 on the wheel while the other two went over I moved on to the Showcase Showdown. There I ended up winning another car and a trip to Maui. It was just a great day had by all.

Woo baby, Akashi SixNine loves the spotlight and what else is better than being interviewed on a television show. Playing in Tampa Bay, the boys from TSN decided "hey, this guy is having a hell of a season, why not call him up and have him do an interview with us?!!?" So I did exactly that.

The boys Jimmy Duthie and Jeff O'Neill decided to actually fly me up to the studio to do a rookie segment with me, my agent was pretty sick in organizing everything so it worked out well, plus im making hella good money so that wasn't an issue. Anyway, I get up there and the boys just start grilling me with the questions "How are you playing so well?" "Why were you absolute dogshit in Colorado, and somehow you are a perennial defender in the SHL?" My answers were obvious, it was all the Biosteel products I had been ingesting down in Tampa Bay. I know TSN loves to promote the shit outta that, but it really works trust me.

After that, they had the golf simulator set up and we just ran it back and played 18 holes, obviously i won. I'm a damn hockey player after all.

Emiko Spector had been contracted to be on it's always Sunny in Philadelphia. The entire show was confusing for her as she wasn't fully sure what was happening. She had been told that she would be playing the "Night Women"... When she was asked to sing she was super confused to what was happening but learned the song that Charlie Day wrote for her. However it got very odd quickly when she had to do a scene with Danny DeVito where he was just going around on the set offering her character a egg during the production of the show. After this experience she decided to stay away from comedy for a while as she was really very confusing to the whole experience on and off the set. Rob McElhenney offered her to be in some new show about video games but she quickly turned it down after seeing that Ubisoft had been involved in someway and she was worried that she may end up having to pay some sort of micro-transaction to be in it.

My agent, Max Payne, gave me a ring and said he’s going to get another source of income in my hands. It’s acting! Awesome! I love acting. I plugged the address into my GPS, it was about 30 minutes outside of the city. I pull into the driveway and see that it’s a nice looking home.

I walk up, knock on the door. A seductive voice came from the front door.  “Is that the pizzaman with the extra large sausage pizza I ordered?”

The door swung open, and a scantily clad woman wearing barely anything peered through the doorway. There was a camera with a boom mic right behind her. “Uh, my agent told me to come here?” “Ugh, you’re not the right guy!”

“CUT!” a director shouted from the back.

“Rookie! You have to go over to the back entrance. You just walked into a hot set of “Extra Sausage – Earn That Tip”. I called your agent offering you a gig because your old teammates couldn’t stop talking about how large you were. Ready to give the adult industry a shot?

PB has been gaining quite the fan base lately in the Boston area and is quickly becoming a crowd favorite albeit with limited time on ice. With the recent increase in fame stateside, he was invited to participate in Food Network's Celebrity Cook Off where he went head to head against his fellow teammate, Dick Clapper (@5ympathies ). For those who are not familiar with the show, two celebrities are brought on to square off head to head in the kitchen to see who is indeed the best cook. The judges dictate what ingredients must be used and the contestants must scramble to come up with the best dish that they can make in 90 minutes. For this episode, the secret ingredients that must be used were Hearts of Palm, pickled garlic, and Worcestershire marinated carrots. PB, who was not aware of how the show works and barely understands English, better yet the rules, was under the impression that he must cook for friends on TV. At least that is what his agent told him. Well needless to say, this rough translation did not bode well with PB as he prepared a dish that included absolutely zero of the required ingredients, involved PB being escorted from the premises, and ultimately having Dick Clapper take the title home by the first ever forfeit/ejection in the Celebrity Cookoff show's history. Read more about the experience from PB's point of view this week as rumor is that PB is going to share his side of the story in an update to the media.
