S48 PT #4 - Guest Star

Recently, Texas Renegades player Andreas Kvalheim was given a great oppurtunity to appear in CW's "The Flash", a superhero show starring Grand Gustin as the scarlet speedster known as the Flash. Kvalheim, as a fan of the series, jumped at the opportunity. After a disspointing season in the SHL where his team missed the playoffs, Kvalheim figured this would be a great way to take his mind off hockey. He flew to Vancouver, one of his favorite cities in the world, to film his scenes. His role was to be a minor thug in employ of a villain terrorizing Central City. While he didn't get any lines, Kvalheim got the chance the land a surprise punch on the Flash, before getting felled by the speedster's lightning. The Flash, as always, defeated Kvalheim and the rest of the villains, saving the day. Afterwards, Kvalheim got the chance to meet and hang with all of the cast.

Detroit Falcons forward and Texas Renegades prospect Josh Driver was recently featured in an episode of CraveTV's "Letterkenny." Driver is reportedly a big fan of the show and didn't hesitate when he was offered a chance to appear in an episode. In this new episode, Driver appears as the star hockey player on a team that rivals the Letterkenny Fighting Irish. His team is playing a weekend series in Letterkenny, so he is staying in town for a couple of days. Right off the bat, Driver's character has a run-in with Letterkenny hockey players Reilly and Jonesy. After a back-and-forth scene filled with plenty of chirps, he goes along his way after warning Reilly and Jonesy to watch themselves on the ice. In game 1 of the series, Driver embarrasses the boys and ends up scoring the game winning goal with a bar down wrister (it doesn't count if it's not bar downski). The next day, Reilly and Jonesy enlist the help of Wayne (the toughest guy in Letterkenny), Darryl, and Squirrely Dan to confront Driver's character and have a scrap. Just like everyone who faces the Letterkenny locals in a donnybrook, Driver gets his ass kicked and is run out of town.

Mikael Choybuk was a guest star on the last season of Game of Thrones! Did you not see him? If you zoom in really, really closely on the dragon scenes, you could see Mikael Choybuk riding Drogon with Daenarys Targaryen. He was with her every time she rode Drogon, and even when she was not with him, Choybuk was always riding that dragon. You might say he was born to be on the Calgary Dragons, because he is definitely a dragon rider. To help him prepare for this season of SHL action, he wanted to get on top of that dragon in Game of Thrones, to release his inner Calgary Dragon. I am surprised nobody brought it up in the SHL, considering he was there on that dragon. You cannot tell me otherwise. It definitely happened. In the SHL off-season he would not stop annoying HBO, demanding to be put on the show for the final season. I think it turned out quite well. He tried for the life of him to stop Drogon and the things he did in Season 8, but could not do it! Some say Choybuk was the reason Drogon rode off in the sunset to Valyria after the conclusion of the series.

Jeremy Clarckson, Richard Hammond and James May are taking the Grand Tour across the Rockies, where they are tasked with finding the strange anomally known as the Cowman. However, said Cowman is last spotted in Denver, CO, and the 3 blighty blokes landed in in Sin City. That's Las Vegas, NV for the curious out there. In comes a road trip filled with multiple quests for 3 chavs to complete with their £10,000 4WD sports vehicle. On their stop in Glenwood Springs, CO, Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow all come around for a side quest. There, they have been notified that the Cowman is on the move to Aspen, CO, and has brought a treat. First one to catch him wins the prize. So of course, they go ham and leg it all the way to Aspen, where they find a man in a cow suit relaxing in the ski resort. Hammond wins the race and meets the Cowman........only it isn't the Cowman, but Emeka Valentine-Okoli who was played into quest this as a diversion. Jezza was next to arrive, but had nothing. Then came May walking with a cow in a Raptors jersey, when EVO declared May the winner of the quest, much to the astonishment of the other two. Of course, EVO was laughing when he got to reveal the winner and thouroughly enjoyed his participation in this event. He would have to thank his agent Larry Foulke for this chance, since he is a major fan of the 3 men of the Grand Tour. EVO then got into his Cessna with the Cow and headed back to Denver for his next match.

Crazy times, with success in the SMJHL Knute Knurtsson has gotten some traction back home in sweden. He was invited to guest star on swedish television, a show called "Kör slaget"
A show where a famous person leads a choir, every week there is a new theme, from Rock to "dansband". Knute was invited to guest star with one of his all time favorite musicians, Lars Berghagen. The theme of tye week was LGBTQ, Lars and Knute made the decision to perform Elton John's "Candle in the wind".
Knute was ecstatic abiut meeting Lars and to have the opportunity to sing with him " one of the greatest happenings of my life" as he was quoted saying after the act was done. It got huge amount of likes on youtube and Knute got nice comment from fans in Colorado and engorgement from his soon to be teammates in San Francisco.

Edmonton Blizzard star winger Teddy Cuddles got invited to star on a show. I have no idea which show I should choose because I literally do not watch any tv. I seriously do not know any shows that are on tv besides like Family Guy and The Simpsons and like Rick and Morty. I guess Teddy Cuddles starred on Rick and Morty. The episode starring Teddy Cuddles goes as follows: Teddy, Rick, and Morty use some next level science to travel to the mystical and fabled Land of Gumba. The three travel to the Land of Gumba in order to receive the Oogely Boogely orb which grants access to all of the pingy pingus. While in the amazing Land of Gumba, Teddy Cuddles met Sam Manson from the cartoon Danny Phantom. The two fell in love and Teddy stayed behind in the Land of Gumba, being left behind. The two had a child and named him Ambacas, and thus Ambacas Cuddles was born.

Alexis Metzler doesn't make too many TV appearances, but when he was contacted with an offer to be interviewed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after the Buffalo Stampede won their first Challenge Cup, he couldn't turn it down. It went pretty damn well. Stephen asked about the team, and what it was like winning a championship, and all of the struggles it took to get so far. Alexis answered honestly when Colbert posed questions about his struggles with self harm, and perhaps even harder, Alexis even answered honestly when Colbert asked if he'd ever thought about looking for a trade (he had, in S36).

They even managed to work in a skit with Alexis partway through the show, where Stephen Colbert shows up to order "flapjacks" at a Metzwaffle, and Alexis serves him. The perspective disconnect that creates the funny part of the skit is the fact that Stephen assumed that pancakes at Metzwaffle were called flapjacks because Alexis is from the Mid-West, but they're actually just called pancakes because the literal German translation (his Grandmother's recipe) is just "pancakes".

Hippo Passamus was contacted to star in a Steve Irving show when he was a kid, poor TV team though he was an actual Hippo. Steve the legend wanted to see if he could wrestle a baby Hippo.
The family was contacted when Hippo was 5 and got a letter in English in the snail mail. Offer was $1k USD for 2h of one on one time vs Steve, all expenses paid of course.

Hippos parent though it was a little strange that Steve Irving wanted one on one time with their kid but they were a poor farmers family and a lot of money was on the table, they picked up the phone and accepted the offer.
The faces of the TV crew when they laid eyes on little fat Hippo dude wobbling towards them, Steve handled it like a champ though.
After some play wrestling between the two Steve left some encouraging words to Hippo that he still holds dear. Those words were "You gotta pull the snake hard and fast mate"

RETIRED

The Show: The Office

Martijn Westbroek's guest star appearance on The Office focuses on the search for a replacement for the one and only Michael Scott. While actors such as Will Ferrell make appearances, also vying for the job of Regional Manager, Martijn is meant to bring a fresh face to the scene and bring a new approach to the acting profession. He'll be the nard dog's counterpart, part of Andy's old acapella group and together they will cold open the show with a rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. It's a risky song that could make or break the episode. His stardom in the SMJHL has propelled him to enough fame where he is a recognizable name and many in the industry believe that this could lead to a slew of other opportunities. When asked for his ideal role, Martijn had this to say: "Ideally, I would've liked to go back and be the love interest of captain Beckett on the show Castle, she was a smokeshow and it would've been a dream come true". When informed that he could just meet the actual actress in real life and ask her out on a date, Martijn said "This is real life, not a TV show. Don't be an idiot".

Guy Zheng was contacted to make a small cameo in some up and coming tv show, unfortunately he wasn't allowed to say which show it is going to be. Aside from the fact that he is under a strict NDA to prevent any leaks about the highly anticipated show, Guy actually doesn't even watch tv so he wasn't really sure what was going on. However, after we took him to the bar and got him a few drinks, he started to open up a bit and slightly violate several clauses of that NDA he signed. We kind of pieced together the name of the show through his drunken slurring, and we figured out that it was Narcos. For one, we know that he's going to be in a single 15 second shot, and he'll look like any of the other extras except near the end of the scene, he'll yell out to the main characters (who seemed to be in desperate need of a drink) and hand them a can of coke. Zheng then looks towards the camera and gives a sly wink.

Growing up, I always wanted to be interviewed during Hockey Night in Canada, I got that chance many times and it was great every single one of them. The one thing I never even thought about was being invited on as a guest start with Ron and Don to provide some of my insight in and around the league. I went on with the flashiest suit I could find(made from fabric I found at a shop) so as to try and impress Don. I also made sure that I only slightly knew how to pronounce and names that are more then one syllable and he loved it. He called me out on a few names saying he couldn't believe I could be that far off, then he would go and butcher it himself, but either way it was a great experience. Ron is truly a saint for sitting there for the segment week after week and being belittled and cut off by Grapes, but you can see they truly do have a great friendship. All in all it was a once in a lifetime experience and I was honoured to be invited.

Petr Mikulak was heading to the rink to practice one day when he ran into some sort of camera crew and some directors or something, he didn't really know. What had happened was the guy who was supposed to be there no showed for some reason and they were left without a guy who could reasonably portray a professional hockey player on TV. That was until Mikulak showed up. The director or producer or whoever was there asked him if he could play the role instead. The run down of his part was basically he was a hockey player who was being investigated for the murder of his fellow team mate due to a history of aggressiveness on ice only to be killed himself later in the episode before it was revealed that the murderer was a fan of the Tampa Bay Barracuda and was simply trying to undermine the West Kendall Platoon's chances of eliminating them in the playoffs. Throughout the entire recording session the entire broadcasting crew did not recognize Mikulak as being an actual member of the West Kendall Platoon

Bobby appeared on an episode of this season of the Bachelorette as....well...the Bachelorette herself. Due to a scheduling conflict the original Bachelorette could not make the shoot. Fortunately, Bobby's great agent John Smith was on top of it. Knowing that Bobby is the only man in existence to be able to pull off the flow as well as the OG Bachelorette, John Smith immediately contacted the showrunners with a great opportunity. Once Bobby made it on set the producers were thrilled at the acting prowess of Bobby, who was wooing every potential Bachelor out there. Those young men could not keep their eyes or hands off of his luscious flow. He definitely enjoyed being wined and dined for hours of shooting since Bobby has always enjoyed being the star of the show. Once the sun set Bobby choose a lucky man and well...let's just say Bobby wheeled, sniped, and celly'd.

150 words exactly ya yeet
