Game 92 - Outlaws 3 Whalers 2 - 1st Star: A. Archer http://simulationhockey.com/games/smjhl/...HL-92.html
Game 105 - Outlaws 2 Whalers 1 -1st Star: T. Soonika http://simulationhockey.com/games/smjhl/...L-105.html

Game 222 - Whalers 3 Outlaws 1 - 1st Star: I. Volkov http://simulationhockey.com/games/smjhl/...L-222.html
Game 232 - Whalers 7 Outlaws 2 - 1st Star: J. Forty-One http://simulationhockey.com/games/smjhl/...L-232.html

The Outlaws ended up winning the season series after taking a 3-0 lead early in the season but Vancouver would fight back and outscore Anaheim in their 2 wins and show dominance late in the season, sparking a rivalry between the two teams after a gruesome back and forth match up

Forwards
Whalers
1. J. Forty-One - G:2 A:2 / C. Gray - G:2 A:2
2. B. Bobcalf - G:0 A:3 / D. Miller G:2 A:1
3. S. Rieder - G:1 A:1 / A. Wilson G:1 A:1
Outlaws
1. A. Archer - G:2 A:0 / G. Petrov G:0 A:2 / J. Jokinen G:0 A:2
D. Gonzalez G:0 A:2 / S. Telanne G:2 A:0 / Y. McCloud G:2 A:0
2. L. Kofix - G:0 A:1
3. NONE

The Whalers outplayed their opponents and had scoring help throughout the line up, their top lines had a massive 20 points between them while the Outlaws only had 12 points coming from their forwards but they kept up with goal scoring and had more individual efforts

Defenders
Outlaws
1. C. Kennedy - G:2 A:2
2. J. Mander - G:1 A:1
3. NONE
Whalers
1. I. Volkov - G:1 A:2 / K. Claude G:1 A:2
2. J. Dubolk - G:0 A:2 / J. Ackroyd G:0 A:2
3. J. Duggan - G:1 A:0

One stand out was Kennedy and he kept up with the forwards and lead the way for defenders, scoring twice and assisting on 2 important goals. Vancouver would again have a collective effort and had more total points but since Kennedy was a game changer he gives his team the advantage in this section

Goaltenders
Whalers - K. Braulin - 2-3-0, SV:93 SA:102, SV%:91.1% GAA:1.8
Outlaws - T. Soonika - 3-2-0, SV:102 SA:115, SV%:90.4% GAA:2.6

Both goalies made some big saves for their respective clubs and kept their teams in it a majority of the games but Braulin didn't change his game plan during this stretch and ended up winning the goaltending duel against a 2-time 1st star Soonika

Shots/Goals
Outlaws - G:9 S:103, (11.4%)
Whalers - G:13 S:139, (10.7%)

Despite both teams scoring more than a goal a game both teams didn't have the best shooting percentage, mostly due to the outstanding performance by the goaltenders but Anaheim ended up with the best shooting percentage slightly and made the best of their chances

Power Play/Penalty Kill
Whalers - PP:4/17, (23.5%) - PK:8/9, (88.8%)
Outlaws - PP:1/9, (11.1%) - PK:13/17, (76.4%)

The Outlaws struggled on the man advantage and only scored a goal during the 5 game series.. the Whalers PP was on fire and almost scored a goal a game, making them very deadly every time they got an extra man. The penalty wasn't any different and Vancouver almost shut out the Outlaws and only let 1 goal in, Anaheim was busy and had an average PK, playing 34 minutes on the kill

Team Stat
Whalers - H:74 FOW:237 BS:31 PIM:25
Outlaws - H:66 FOW:183 BS:50 PIM:41

Again the Whalers dominated this category, hitting, winning and staying out of the box, night in and night out. The Outlaws had the most blocked shots but they also had 36 less shots and that gives Vancouver the sure victory in this debate
