The current standings will hold through the playoffs and we'll see a New England vs. Calgary matchup in the S49 Challenge Cup

I strongly doubt this comes to pass all the way to the finals because of so many factors. Like what you ask? Well probably the biggest factor of them all which is the WEST KENDALL factor which will stop New england from making the finals Smile

Against, the anchorage armada are going to surprise a lot of folks this season and close out with all victories. They will be near the top, if not the top, and win the championship.

Disagree, while you guys are still giving @Gwdjohnson minutes you are doomed to fail for the remainder of the season and the short time you will have in the playoffs

Disagree, as long as they avoid Vancouver in the playoffs they'll be fine

Quote:One of the Tampa Bay skaters - Gunnar Soderberg or Olivier Cloutier - will win the Jesster award for the league's top rookie

FOR - Both Gunnar Soderberg and Olivier Cloutier are doing really well this season. They are followed by a Monkey, but that doesn't need to worry them. Monkey's can't skate for shit and if you throw a banana on the ice you will take him out of the game quite easily. That's why I think Olivier Cloutier will get the Jesster award, because he has a slight edge over Gunnar Soderberg.

Currently sitting at a .936 SV%, Johannes Leitner will break the single-season SV% record of .932 set by Michael McFadden in S44

Heavily for, because he's got a stacked defense core in front of him. I played with McFadden, he's a sieve. Leits out, baby!

One of the Tampa Bay skaters - Gunnar Soderberg or Olivier Cloutier - will win the Jesster award for the league's top rookie

For! - The Awards committee quite clearly showed that they have a bias towards Tampa Bay last season, as many of their players were given awards they definitely shouldn't have won. Therefore, it would be harly surprising if one of these rookies were to win the Jesster, although in my opinion there are more deserving candidates.

Against, this year it deserves to go to a goalie. And i think the goalie that deserves it is @SlashACM. You may be saying that he isnt a rookie anymore but i disagree. He still acts like a child on the site and got snubbed in his rookie season so basically it is the Awards Committee’s job to give it to him when he most deserves it which of course is NOW. Im looking at you awards committee... Ninja

A St. Louis Scarecrow will lead the SMJHL in points at the end of the season.

For: The St. Louis Scarecrows have arguably the best line in SMJHL hockey in Muller, Kandinsky, and Blackwood. All 3 of them are are within the top 7 of the league scoring with Muller in 3rd. They have three chances to catch Boone.

FOR

This is an easy one obviously. If I had to pick one of them, I would not know who to pick. But the fact that I am getting the Barracuda over the field, it makes it an easy choice. They will continue to battle among themselves for the top rookie of the season. I personally believe Cloutier will end up taking it home over Soderberg but it will be a tight race. Cloutier has more exposure on the roster and will end up profiting from that in the long run, as the season progresses

DISAGREEEEEEE. If you think NiCoLaJ mUlLeR deserves another SMJHL scoring title you are silly. This scrub does nothing on the ice and relies on his teammates to carry him. His 61 points from last season were just because he is LUCKY. Honestly he just gets a whole bunch of LUCKY bounces that go in. Honestly it is pretty funny if you think about it. If you ask me whether or not he gets it, Nicolaj DOES NOT DESERVE OR GET the scoring title this season.

BS! Nicolaj Muller is a saint and he will never be cut off from the fount of LUCK and SKILL. It comes from the good karma that he earns off ice by rescuing kittens from trees and helping old ladies cross the road. If you asked ME, Nicolaj gets the scoring title AND deserves it.

GOD McZehrl's impressive performance this season means that notorious trade was actually... a win for both sides!?

Disagree. I still think minny got the short end of the deal. Overpaid for minny to be not even pulling 500. We aren’t producing as a team, look at the stats last season and the team did better without him. So don’t see how we won. Definitely think Buffalo won this trade.

AGAINST. This trade is ultimately a win for McZehrl and no one else. If you look at the West's standings, Minnesota is barely out of the playoffs and a trade like this one should have bumped them further up. I think that this only benefits McZehrl as he's the one leading his team in points (and he's doing the lines...) as a defenseman. Where is the rest of the firepower? This team needed those draft picks more than him.

Wrap it up, let's just start the playoffs - the top two spots in the SMJHL standings belong to Detroit and Kelowna

FOR: Being on Kelowna and having the season we had last season finishing dead last in the league. It has been a remarkable season for us, jumping into a top 2 spot in the league, flipping the script. And as for Detroit with having a top 5 scorer on their team in Espen Krusten Jr. , they're looking to be a making serious push towards the Four Star Cup.

Against. Did you literally not watch the playoffs last year. As far as I can recall, Buffalo were the worst seeded team in the conference and still routed fuckers on the way to their 2nd cup in 3 seasons. Chalk it up the same.

This is the season in which Cameron Carter II FINALLY gets his Dar nomination

Easy for. Just elite elite elite is all that comes to mind with this player. It doesn't get better than them, you know right here, right now. Nobody is better, and nobody will ever be better, so there's no point in even showing up, cause Carter^2 is getting the Dar you know, no ifs ands or butts about this one, I think we should do the award ceremony now.
