The Contract

"I signed that lofty extension with Chicago based on a few factors, and i'll tell it to you straight. I had better money offers on the table. One team that was a contender offered me 10M on a short term deal while allowing me to be one of the main stars of the team. Another offered me 10/10/7/7. I could have literally been set for life from that deal. Played the top spot as a winger and been the best but why did I stay with the Syndicate despite the lack of money they could give me? I put together a pretty solid season in their system and believed we would only get better. I was kind of tired of moving around each season since it's so draining. Having to enter every off season with stressful negotiations while being uncertain if you will be contacted or even have a stable offer on the table. If I took that one year deal I was concerned that I wouldn't have an offer available for me in the future. The Syndicate also traded for Kevin Hamilton, who I thought would be a good supportive piece for me. I was wrong."

"Now with the salary cap increasing JUST A SEASON after I signed my contract without any warning that the cap would increase, I claim that this is a breach on my rights as a player and I want my contract voided. It's ridiculous seeing all these big money contracts being handed out when I was the pioneer for wanting to get the most out of teams. I want to benefit from what I contributed to and I want a fresh new contract. I want to be a free agent right now and refuse to show up for Chicago Syndicate practices until I get an official response from the Head Office and the SHL. There was a clear lack of transparency for the players negotiating while GMs and others likely had some idea that the salary structure would change. If possible, I am even willing to retire for a short period of time before returning so my contract can be voided."

"Rough, rough, rough season. I stayed in Chicago because I thought I would be guaranteed the opportunity to play in the ideal role I wanted. Where I thought Kevin Hamilton was here to support me, he just ended up eating up my minutes and role. I played the least amount of minutes I have played since my days in Manhattan. I haven't played these few minutes in the last 3-4 seasons. It was pretty ridiculous that I didn't get afforded more time on the power player, all these other teams slant PP ice time for their forwards but we don't, while i'm the highest rated PP producing skater of S49? Seems counter productive. I would have been fine with all this if we actually made the playoffs, and the request I made at game 25 only got put into effect in around game 40. It took 5 games for them to listen to me? After they traded away Luke Atmey? I came here because I thought the team would be committed to me but they go trading away my help too. Frustrating season all around. I hope I never have to go through this kind of situation again, I went to them at the trade deadline and legitimately asked for a trade. I wanted out of Chicago."

S49 IIHF

"My frustration never ends. I don't get team USA's love for putting me down and not letting me operate as a player. I was rated the best power player specialist in the league last season and didn't get any PP time for the tournament. The only forwards with less time played than me on the ice ARE ROOKIES! FRESH FACED ROOKIES! I'm starting to feel like they don't respect me enough as a player to give me a more important role when I was clearly putting up numbers despite being limited. I worked hard these past few seasons and I don't think management sees me as someone who has been making progress. Every other player that came in around the same time as me has gotten their shots at the top spots but haven't brought back gold. I was in a limited role and we didn't even medal this time, just beyond frustrating. I want my chance as the top player for USA and I GUARANTEE a medal. I could bring home Gold to America. We shouldn't be losing to the Germans of all teams. WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO LOSE TO GERMANY!"

S49 Draft

"Extremely disappointed that the team didn't draft the entire Armada organization with the 5th overall selection in the draft. A lot of hopeful future goats were there for the taking but it seems that the team disagreed with me. It's part of the reason why I want the contract voided. I had fond memories of carrying the Armada on my back since they were hopeless without me, but then I get reminded that I had a conspiring coach that tried to bench me in the play offs and cut down my role. Disgusting. I think there are a lot of rel talents here, not like Sins who didn't pan out as expected ... Or Xena ... Or like a bunch of the Armada draftees. I am literally the best player they have ever produced. I feel like players like Dylan fell too far and hope he gets treated well in Minnesota. Honestly a lot of the guys fell a bit further than I would have liked or ended up in strange organizations like Calgary. Mike Izzy is literally not even human anymore."

S50

"It's the year of CC2. I hope I get my contract voided or I want the league to personally apologize to me. Maybe even have Chicago give me the Captaincy for no reason at all other than the fact I complained in the media about it. But to the topic at hand! I, Cameron Carter the II, will get a Dar Nomination and be recognized as one of the best forwards in S50 because it is DESTINY! When people look back during S100 to the S50 season they will see my numbers pop out of the screen. JODAN. S50 will be the season of CC2.

But no, really. Void my contract."
