Lots of Norwegian fans enjoying the chance to see Anders Christiansen pretty close to home. Players make their way off the ice and audience finds their way to bar. After talking for guite long with finnish reporters Ensio Kalju is ready to speak with international media.

Interviewer: That was a great goal. How does it feel to be back playing and scoring here in Finland after so long time?

Kalju: Feels great, in front of the home crowd - is there anything better? Finnish people are hockey crazy and it showed, the atmosphere is fantastic, the fans push us players forward, they are the sixth player on the ice almost like.

Interviewer: Start of the game was bit slow but after that first penalty there was quite lot of action on ice. Do you think that with delay of season this game is taken bit more seriously than it would otherwise?

Kalju: Could be, some players did not make the playoffs last year and they especially have a lot of energy saved up, they are ready to go and of course players in general want to play in these games after some time away from real games. Now that the season is delayed, games like these are an excellent opportunity to show our clubs in SHL what we can do, solid showing on individual level goes a long way.

Interviewer: During season 40 WJC you played Germany/Austria three times and ended up losing twice and won one on shootout. How do you make sure you keep the lead to get those wins tied 2-2?

Kalju: Need to stay out of the penalty box that is the number one, but also need to make sure everybody is on the same page, discipline in general, play for the team and with each other, try to avoid taking risks and turning the puck over in dangerous areas, we got enough talent in the team to win almost anyone.

Interviewer: How do you feel playing with some of the other players that might have already retired from hockey, some who never played the game on professional level?

Kalju: Great for the game of hockey - fans get to see players they watched in the past and the players also get to have fun on the ice, entertaining games and some high level hockey, hopefully as many people watch from television!

2nd Intermission:

The players head into the locker room as we head to the second intermission. We’re trying to get to interview another SHL star, but they don't seem too interested to talk with reporters and the GER brothers keep blocking most of them as they seem to be determined to talk with the media instead.

Interviewer: Well, it was a good period for Germany/Austria, F2 you got some time on the ice, how does it feel to play with all these superstars?

F2: I'm usually pretty humble, but I have to say that we would not be here without my contribution. We have always -

F1: Erzähl ihm von der Firma…

F2: Wart mal kurz. Even though we might not have been guys that train the most, our natural talent -

F3: Jaja, kauf dein nächstes Auto bei Autohaus Steuerbetrüger.

F2: Dazu kommen wir später. Our natural talent has kept us up around the same skill level as the rest of the pact.

Interviewer: But you could barely skate and two of your brothers have yet to even get on the ice. Based on what I have heard you were not even asked to play at this show-match.

F2: I can confirm it was us who contacted the hosts as we felt that to honor this match and the tournament we just could not let it be played without us and -

F1: Mich interessiert ja, ob dieser Reporter überhaupt skaten kann. Was zum Geier denkt der Typ eigentlich, wer er ist?

F2: Beruhig dich mal. We are doing this all for best of hockey and its future. We have actually been very busy after we just opened a new company, Autohaus Steuerbetrüger in Rostock, so we are actually making sacrifices to even be here. We offer the best deals in all of Germany -

F3: In ganz Europa sogar. Man wird nirgends ein billigeres Auto finden.

F2: I meant the cheapest cars in all of Europe.

F1: Die absolut besten Autos! Denk dran: wir versuchen so auszusehen, als würden wir hier Qualitätsautos verkaufen.

Interviewer: So you are here just to promote your company. I’m not really surprised as you only made the team in the first place because your mother was sleeping with the whole German head office.

F2: Well, those ugly rumors -

F1: Wenn der Kerl nicht gleich die Fresse hält, bring ich ihn um!

F3: Jetzt krieg dich wieder ein. Wenn wir so aussehen, als würden wir uns aufregen, bestätigt das doch nur was er sagt.

F2: I thought we had left these hurtful rumors already behind us; they must have been started by parents of some untalented players who were left out. But we are not here to be insulted; we still have a game to win.

F3: Bestellen Sie jetzt Ihr Auto bei Autohaus Steuerbetrüger.

And with that said they turn away and leave to join the other players in the locker room. While the zamboni is making its last loops around the ice, we are ready to head into the third period.

Shots for second period are 13 for Germany/Austria vs 7 for Scandinavia.
