Lots of storylines could develop in this one single game, and it will be great to see how these guys play together. One thing’s for sure though, a few of them have already played together and will continue to do so in the regular season. Alexander Wachter, Vorian Atreides and Kenny Creller will form the first line for Team Eastern, and while they might not play for the same team outside of this tournament, there’s no doubt they will make magic happen tomorrow on the ice. Hopefully Atreides can forget his new teammate Wachter has won the Four Star Cup against his team last season for a single night. The Eastern’s second forward line are 3 teammates from Carolina who are already used to play together and know how to win, if we look at the standings. They are incredible skaters and will be hard to beat tomorrow. Next we look at the third forward group made up of 3 players from St.Louis. It is very surprising to see Aron Hernadivic, Yamamoto Mitsuharu and James Ronlain so far down the lines considering they hold 45 points between them, making them the line with the most points on the Eastern team. These guys play very well together and could definitely be a top line anywhere in the league. Karl Krashwagen and Indigo Trevino will lace up and play together once again, however they will be on the 4th line tomorrow night. The two talented players must have formed a very tight bond as they both play for Halifax and have been drafted by the same SHL team, West Kandall Platoon. Luke McMaster has made the team and will help both Halifax players score a few goals in less than 24 hours for sure. The utterly talented player is the one and only rookie to have made the team and it is well deserved. McMaster has incredibly speed and hockey IQ and will be one of the greats to play in this league and the SHL in the future.

Team Eastern’s 1st pairing defenseman, Derek Bohne Jr. will have at least one player he recognizes on the ice and that is Phineas Gold, both of them will wear Manhattan Rage’s colors very soon. His teammate tomorrow, Flash Gordon, will have to play with and against a few familiar Panthers faces as Creller, Atreides and McMahon will be on Team Eastern’s first line, while Disisde Dayudie will take every opportunity to fight Gordon for the puck if he moves it too close to the offensive zone. Abel Skinner and Adam Barron will hold the second pairing tomorrow evening, two insanely talented young players from Halifax. The Eastern team has another great defensemen pairing in Denver Wolfe and Daniel Kuster, both from Colorado. The pair are used to play together and it will definitely be easier for them tomorrow to set up scoring chances for their forwards.

Elle Rush has been given the starter job in this very first all-star game and will try to keep the score to a low amount to help Team Eastern bring home a win. Nolan McMahon will back her up, and that is one hell of a back up. Both have currently 9 wins in the SMJHL as they are both Detroit’s and Carolina’s starter goalies respectively. McMahon currently has a higher save percentage and a better goals against average than Rush, but she has played more games and has faced a lot more shots than he did. He will be able to show his abilities during the second period.

As for Team Western, they will have a lot of talent on the ice to be able to stop Team Eastern from winning this game. Anchorage boasts the most players in this tournament with a total of 7 players that will suit up. Team Western’s first line will consist of their top 2 players in Jake Primeau and Daniel Bischoff, both of them at 17 points so far this season. They will truly be the ones to watch out tomorrow. They will be paired off with Francois Breton, another excellent goal scorer so far this season. All 3 of them hold the most points for a line in this tournament with 49 points based on the regular season scoring sheet. The second line will see Anaheim’s Kevin Robinson and Leonid Kofix see some action, along with Anchorage’s Andrei Petrikov. The trio will easily match up their opponents’ speed and talent and will without a doubt be the better line when they’re on the ice. The third line, nicknamed the Boo Crew are made up of 3 NOLA prospects that will without a doubt make all eyes turn on them tomorrow evening. Mitchell van der Heijden, Thomas Vanice and Raquel Castillo Gutierrez have already skated together at the NOLA camp. NOLA has hit the jackpot on all 3 of them, remarkable vision, high hockey IQ, these guys have got it all. The fourth line is like none other, these guys are definitely not grinders. Vancouver’s Jan Zacha and Bobby Bobcalf will join Kelowna’s sole all-star, will look to take every opportunity to get as many goals as they can tonight, and with how good they look on the ice, it will be very exciting to see them move the puck to get scoring chances for Team Western.

Team Western are very fortunate to have an incredibly solid D corps in this tournament. Anchorage’s defensemen Augustus Wang and Berry Blue will hold the first pairing. Two off the charts players that can play in any situation and disrupt the league’s top players from scoring goals. Next in line we have Ursin Zimmermann and Delver Fudgeson, these guys need no introduction. The former is tied for most points by a defenseman this season, and the latter is right on his toes, with 13 points. They will be a dangerous pairing to look forward to. Lastly, we have Disisde Dayudie and Zlatan Ibrahimovic Jr. securing the third pairing for Team Western.  The Japanese and Swedish players will make a perfect duo tonight and it will be very exciting to see them make impossible plays look mundane versus the very best the SMJHL has to offer.

Between the pipes for Team Western tomorrow evening will be Anchorage’s starter goalie Ian Venables. The San Francisco Pride prospect currently holds the best save percentage in the league with a 0.910 save %. Vancouver’s White Goodman will come in for the second period to secure Team Western a win this tournament. The elite goaltender has a great career ahead of him in Texas but tomorrow will surely be just another day to him. Stopping the best players of the SMJHL and not let them get a chance to score? Easy.

Most of the SHL teams will have rookies playing tomorrow night and hopefully their management will be on the lookout for this game as it will be a very exciting event to witness. The Toronto North Stars will surely keep an eye out as 5 of their rookies will be skating, and unfortunately for Team Eastern’s Bobby Lane, his new teammates will play against him. Kuster, Zimmermann, Zacha and Bobcalf will suit up for Team Western. An incredible crop of players will suit up for the fans tomorrow and we are very excited to see the game unfold. We hope you look forward to it!

PbP to start around 7PM Eastern Time tomorrow, Monday, December 9th.
