RIVALRY!

I am honored to announce that myself and @notorioustig have come to an agreement that something has to be done about our rivalry. It is no hidden secret that St Louis and Detroit have always been out for blood when playing each other. We aim to do something about it in the only way we know how, an outdoor exhibition game. That's right folks, we're doing a Winter Classic!

Let me tell you folks, this should be a blood bath. St Louis players hate Detroit players. Detroit players hate St Louis players. The rivalry has been going on for so long, it is the first thing you learn about when joining either team. In the S30's, it really hit it's peak with Detroit and St Louis finding themselves matched up in the playoffs often. This was back when you could actually miss the playoffs in the SMJHL for you young folks out there. When the S40's started, the rivalry flared up thanks to a stacked rookie class joining the teams in S42. The games played that season between the two were some of the fiercest game every played in the SMJHL. I like to think the top two teams of the S40's was St Louis and Detoit, in that order. By the late S40's the rivalry started to die down as the teams would not see much of each other in the playoffs. With the S50's just starting and an awesome Reddit draft class, I think St Louis and Detroit's rivalries are about to be rekindled.

I do not think I can say it enough, we do not like each other. In fact, the first couple meetings with the Detroit group had to have armed security from a neutral city to mediate and make sure things were kept peaceful. After long talks it was agreed that Detroit would host the historic event. Custom jerseys will be made to celebrate the long history of these iconic teams.

BUT WAIT..

THERE'S MORE!

Before the Winter Classic game begins, another game will be played. One that features some of the best players to ever lace up their skates in the SMJHL. I am talking about a St Louis vs Detroit Alumni game! While the rosters are not finalized as yet, we are seeing more and more alumni signing up to take another whack at each other. S31 Currently active, St Louis alum who will not be named, had this to say. "As much as id like to give a huge #FuckDetroit quote to you, it’s pretty hard when they haven’t been relevant for 15 seasons while we’ve been winning multiple cups and being the gold standard for the SMJHL. Besides, they’ve Skreeeeeed so far down the standings for over a decade that they won’t even really be able to hear me, so there’s no point in giving you a quote." Wow, will Detroit respond to that?

Anyways, the date of these games are still TBD, but keep your eyes out as we will be doing sooner rather then later.

We just got reverse swept by the Falcons. And why? Because the Falcons did ONE THING after they were down 3-0: They changed their goaltender from a 350 starter to a 190 backup. All logic goes out of the window at this point and Detroit beats us 4 games in a row and fuck if I know why. We were out playing them for the most part, except that the sim just gifted them goaltending when it made no sense. This is not how anyone is supposed to lose.
