Peter Larson should be taking home the McBride award for the league's top goalie

Against, top goalie should be awarded to highest tpe goalie because that's actual work and not just being lucky. Imagine being sub 1800 tpe lmao

The Carolina Kraken will return to glory and hoist the Four Star Cup

The Krack heads will get upset in an earlier round. I think they are probably one of the favourites beforehand or at least to get to the final but this is SHL minors. It will be coin flips if anything and I cannot see them winning it.

Sound the alarms again - Hamilton is taking home that repeat trophy

For Hamilton taking home the trophy again because I am the GM of the Steelhawks and I think I should be for my team winning the challenge cup. This is a a hot take honestly.

Quote:Kaarlo Kekkonen is a runaway choice for SMJHL MVP.

AGAINST.

Not only is Kaarlo Kekkonen a dirty, screeching Falcon, he is not the best player in the SMJHL. That title should go to Olli Saarinen, Jr. of the Halifax Raiders.

Consider: Saarinen still has a >0.850 on a team with a -21 Goal Differential. He's faced over 1100 shots on the season and maintained a 3.37 Goals Against Average. His defenders are snake-bitten (Skinner), rookies (Feaux, Kalashnikov, and Von Arx), or IA (Moreau (almost) and Dudemeister). They have more defensively focused players than most blue lines, which makes their woes even more biting.

And yet, Saarinen is still doing well enough to keep them in games.

So the sim has hated Halifax this season. It hasn't hated Saarinen. He's putting in a lot of work, and it's showing despite the terrible optics for the rest of the team. When Halifax gets better, it'll be on the back of Olli Saarinen, Jr. No disrespect to the veterans like Skinner, Cheezy, and Kayhall. I expect that as their players hit caps next season, Halifax is going to show their hand as a very good team with those veterans paving the road. However, the goaltender is the foundation of the team, and Saarinen has shown this season that he's not about to crack.

With the season that the Raiders have had, that's pretty fucking valuable in my opinion.

With 69 points and team leader Charlie Schieck finishing the season with 69 blocked shots, San Francisco just finished the nicest season in SHL history

Against - The San Francisco Pride were so close to having the nicest season. In my opinion they just missed out because they only had 3 20 goal scorers. If Leopold Lockhart could have potted 5 more goals they would have had a nice 4 20 to go with those 69s. That would have been truly NIIIIIIIICE

I am going to call BS!, not just because he is my teammate, but he got fucked for almost a third of the year by the sim. Was playing at the standard 240 TPE (found out it was 240 and not 155), until it was discovered he wasn't playing with his actual TPE and then he turned it on and went HAM. Sure Saarinen did what he could for the Raiders, and nothing against @prettyburn but I think it would be hard for him on the bottom team. A lot of people had great seasons this year and still no disrespect to Saarinen, glad to see him do good being from the same draft class!

So as you can tell I am FOR the SMJHL MVP, as I mentioned before he was doing it with our his full potential TPE!!!

BULLSHIT

To both of you. First off @Capt_Blitzkrieg, being a Falcon is AWESOME and we're not dirty. Except for @lukejm37, who gets into fights pretty much all the times (he loses them all tho). But also we have more rookies, and our rookie goalie face almost the same number of shots and had a .875. Not having forwarda who can put the biscuit in the basket doesnt make Saarinen a good goalie.

And you @JMacNCheese. For real? You're going with Kekkonen, instead of the guy at the lower cap who was leading the league for half the season and ended third in points and only lost that lead because Kekkonen hogged all the pucks and stole all the points? On every goal we scored I swear I saw him skating past the ref to show him his number and ask for an assist.
I don't like blowing my own horn (We have puckbunnies for that), but if anyone should win MVP it's that Swiss guy who carried Detroit all the way through the first 25 games and put up decent levels for the second half of the season as well.

So I'm AGAINST the statement. But both of these guys are wrong.

An every-season staple: Cameron Carter II will take home his second DAR AWARD #JODAN

For, The Simulation Hockey League may as well just rename the trophy after Cameron Carter the Second at this point. He epitomizes what the trophy stands for. A no brainier.

Against: The Carolina Kraken will return to glory and hoist the Four Star Cup

For the Carolina Kraken to hoist the Four Star Cup again they have to go through the Kelowna Knights. All though the Knights season was far from great, they only finished 4 points behind the Laurifer Trophy winners. I strongly believe that the Kelowna Knights are a big underdog to make a deep run in the playoffs as they have a very balanced team.

Against!

The hockey God's will not allowed such a gross injustice to the other teams, the players and the fans! I will personally sacrifice at least(!) three sheep and two virgins to make sure this does not happen.

FOR. I don't see any reason why a goalie with 5 shutouts (even though two have been against my team...) and the best SV% in the regular season shouldn't be able to win this. He's been outstanding this season.

Kaarlo Kekkonen is a runaway choice for SMJHL MVP

I mean, he had a pretty decent season but I think he is not really necessarily a runaway choice. I feel like lots of guys had some amazing seasons and I think he will win the award but not run away with it.

LeBron James, a superstar from the National Basketball Association, is disgusted by the inadequate punishment towards the injustice that the Cheatmilton Cheathawks have caused throughout the Simulation Hockey League. Even LeBron can't believe that Cheatmilton was allowed to continue to cheat their way into another top seed in the Eastern Conference and, once again, appear to be the favourites for winning the Challenge Cup again. I agree fully with the statement that Cheatmilton is likely to take home the trophy, but I also side with LeBron as we need our SHL Commissioner to take action once again to prevent them from continuing to cheat. Unfortunately, we may even have a larger conspiracy at hand as the current/soon-to-be former commissioner has chosen to step down from the position which may further the roots of Cheatmilton's lax punishment along with them being able to continue cheating.

ONLY ONE PERSON CAN SAVE US AND THATS CAMERON CARTER II aka THE GOAT aka JODAN.

STAY WOKE.

Disagree. The General Manager of the Toronto North Stars has openly expressed his desire to "tank" in order to acquire a higher draft position for the S53 Entry Draft. Unfortunately for him, Hairy Gary Larry Terry Harry Potter Carpet has dragged the dead corpse that is the entirety of the North Stars into the playoffs. Harry Potter should be getting more recognition, including the McBride, as he is the reason why they're even close to contending for the Challenge Cup.

Ahahahahahahaha no. There is no way that Hamilton will win S52 and I'M SURE AS HELL that they aren't going to win S53, especially with the new engine. If they win, I propose HO shutting the team down and everyone relocating.
