Media-What do you think of the EEL coming to the NWJHL
Benjamin Wong- I think it's great. With the EEL coming here, the NWJHLers could learn something from the EEL and the EEL could learn something from us but mostly, they will learn from us.
Media- Is there any players from the EEL you would like to play with?
Benjamin Wong- Not really. To be honest, I don't really know who any of them are. Gonna be great to find out though.
Media- With the EEL coming to the NWJHL, do you think your draft ranking will be lowered?
Benjamin Wong- No, not at all. Our commissioners will do something to keep the NWJHL players on higher lines.
Media- Now, back to you. What are you doing to be noticed.
Benjamin Wong- Well, last week was my breakout week. I wanted to be noticed last week and I think I did that. Now, I'm taking things down a bit and I'm pacing myself. I'm not going at a slow pace but I'm going at a pace where I think a lot of gms would respect.
Media- What are you doing to pace yourself?
Benjamin Wong- Well, instead of 14 hours of training, I'm going at a steady pace. I'm on the ice, off the ice and on again. Not too long because last week, I didn't spend too much time with family and friends and I'm catching up with them now. It's great to be in her in Toronto. This is my home. The NWJHL is my home away from home but nothing will take away this. Spending time with the Leafs, the Blue Jays and my whole family.
Media- Are you worried about losing skill because of all this time with your family?
Benjamin Wong- Are you crazy?
Media- No. I was just curious.
Benjamin Wong- Fine. But there is no way I'm losing skill. I'm gaining skill with my family. I get to be on the ice with them, go to the gym with them and have fun with them. Can't be better.
