GRADERS WAIT! This is a real media piece this time do not instantly move it to invalid media.
I was in the SMJHL history section taking a look our new cup banner when I decided to take a look at all the teams past. The great players and managers that had already been written into the books. The junior league here is much more revered than in other leagues. This is because you typically spend more time down here so you best make the most of it. While going down the list I came to an interesting spot very quickly. Two Vancouver cups. Good for them, but what's so interesting about that? You see the key here is that these two cups, the only two since season 36, are exactly five seasons apart. Season 43, and season 48. Now what is the longest an active stays in the SMJHL? Four seasons. That means that between these two cups, an entire class came and went. They joined hot off a cup win, hoping to continue that success, and left four seasons later empty handed. Then one season later Vancouver won again. Now thinking about that made me realize if that were me, I would be heated af. It would be absolutely tilting to just barely miss the cup twice. So needless to say, I had to find out which unlucky souls were the victims of this misfortune. Now we won't find any of those names in the cup winner forum, so we'd have to look to the ancient indices. Searching up that season 44 team we find five rookies. The five players eligible for maximum suffering. They are Andy Kerr, Cash Considerations, Kalvins Zvejnieks (am I pronouncing that right?), Kirk Holloway, and William Goose. Now we will cross-check that with the season 47 team. Three of the five escaped beforehand and probably weren't too miffed about what happened. But two stayed the full four seasons. They are Andy Kerr, and William Goose. Andy Kerr actually was inactive enough to stay five full seasons. He made a big brain move to secure the cup he must have known was coming, but sacrificed the rest of his playing career. His story doesn't end well, as just recently the career SMJHLer was found dead. Andy Kerr drowns in McDonald's ball pit That leaves one left. The forgotten. The damned. William Goose. Goose never made it to that season 48 team. He was left behind. Cast away like yesterday's news. His manager Luke, who he trusted and had grown to call a friend? I reached out to Goose for comment but clearly he doesn't want anything to do with us anymore after what happened to him. The lost player of Vancouver's S40s cup runs may be lost from the SHL forever. Goose has never retired, and to this day resides in Free Agent purgatory.

Something happened on the day he died. Spirit rose a metre and stepped aside. Somebody else took his place, and bravely cried. I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar. a bottomless curse, a bottomless sea, source of all greatness, all things that be.

Okay i can explain actually.
1. William Goose is actually the irl cousin of Mayuu, and he went inactive around 250 TPE. Good guy. When I was the gm I was wanted active players. So when push came to shove I went with actives 2. When I became co-gm of Manhattan, I thought it would be funny to sign players that were on Vancouver as roster fillers as like the gm bringing along their “bad” players that they love. That’s why I chose William goose and backyard barnacle. Some interesting things. Andy Kerr was Snuffalupogus ‘s player who first came back. He was the first of 2nd person to update me. Cash Considerations was recreate we drafted in the 2nd round and never updated. Kalvins Zvejnieks Was a DFA we signed at the end of the season that got drafted by Detroit the following season.
