Anybody who knows me would generally expect me to write this in character but I feel like in this instance, I would just like to be entirely honest with people:
It goes without saying but 2020 has been a rough year for everyone but it goes beyond that for me. My country (UK) has gone back into general lockdown due to covid and this whole situation has affected me quite a bit mentally. I have thought that I need to take a break. So I have come to the tough decision to retire and then come back stronger next time around. This will only be a short break as I just get things in order in my life before I make my return to the SHL.
I don't want to give anyone the impression that I am leaving the SHL due to being bullied or anything else. I love this place and I love the people I have interacted with. They are amazing people and you all have seriously been great to me. I just need to get my real life in order and then I will come back with a different player.
Before I finish, I want to personally thank the Anchorage Armada Front Office, @
Acsolap and @Apricot and the Manhattan Rage front office, @Juketd and @
JayWhy . You four have been tremendous friends and coaches as I have crafted this story and I would gladly play for you boys any day. A big thank you as well to all of the Anchorage locker room who have been a true band of brothers to me as we have tried to reach for the cup numerous times. I would recommend that locker room in a heart beat.
