Hello SHL Community,

This has been a long time coming, and I am glad we are able to get this done and checked off. As the title says, we are revamping the twitter system. We want to see more of a community on the SHL Twitter, as well as hosting events or other ways to get the twitter community involved. I guess we should announce the new pay scale

150k per tweet (up to 3 tweets).

And then an additional 150k total for 3 replies on other people’s tweets(have 3 replies for the 150k total.)

So 150k/150k/150k for 3 tweets, 150k per tweet
and 50k/50k/50k for 3 replies, 50k per tweet

With this, we are constricting the rules of twitter

All 3 tweets must be on separate days
All 3 replies must be on separate days

Tweets and Replies CAN be on the same day, but you cannot claim 2 replies or 2 tweets on the same day

Tweets and Replies must include the #shlhockey in order to get paid

So, this doubles the twitter payout from 300k to 600k for a week.

This equals out to 4.8 mil over 8 weeks(or 1 season).

We hope through twitter plus your contract will be able to get you to at least pay for training for those 8 weeks. As the minimum contract is about 2.5 mil, which means max twitter + minimum contract is 7.3 mil. This in turn, will help the limiting factor of money enough to get their minimum duties done. This still allows members to still have the need to do extra work for money, such as Casino, Media, Graphics, Podcasting, or Video Submissions if they choose to buy equipment or just having a bigger bank account.

In turn, the new rules will start next week, 12/07/2020

So now onto the next way twitter is evolving on the SHL.

As many of the users know on other leagues like PBE or ISFL, they have a script that scrapes a thread that has users twitter profile links and automatically grades them. Well… its time for the SHL to get with the times. Now the user that developed their script went inactive, so we had to make ours from scratch. Thank you for everyone that put their twitter profile in the thread I requested it from, it helped out a lot to double check the script and make adjustments.

So starting next week, you do NOT manually claim twitter through the bank account. Instead of the hassle of getting links and putting it into the bank, there will be a thread(example 11/23/2020 - 11/29/2020 Twitter Claims thread) where you just drop your twitter profile link in, and thats it.

The official rules of that thread will be posted in the 1st post of each week which is the following

Simply tweet from your own personal twitter account with the hashtag "#shlhockey"

You can earn 150k per tweet for up to 450k in a single week

You can also earn an additional 150k for 3 replies on other people’s tweets

All of the 3 tweets have to be on separate days

All 3 replies also have to be on separate days

The claimable tweets from the week are from Monday 12AM EST - Sunday 11:59PM 

Tweets and Replies CAN be on the same day, but you cannot claim 2 replies or 2 tweets on the same day

In order to post in the thread you need to follow these rule’s

The link must be a hyperlink(https://)

The post must ONLY be the hyperlink, no other additional comments or concerns

Of course, the first couple weeks I expect a couple bumps in the road, so I will be going over that thread and make sure that they are running smoothly.

SHL economy in shambles

because my brain is dumb, i thought it was 150k per tweet and 150k per reply. I think the wondering hindered us there. May be helpful to list it as 50k per reply to maintain consistency. Doesn't make sense to say 150k PER TWEET and then 150k TOTAL for replies Smile
