(This post was last modified: 02-19-2021, 04:09 PM by goldenglutes.)

well i'm glad you asked keenan, the newest point task head of the simulation hockey league. i, guy zheng of the atlanta inferno, a team also in the simulation hockey league, was just paid way too much money (six million dollars!) and I actually have trouble spending it all, so this season i decided i would use the money to commission a few sigs for myself. before this, i only had two atlanta inferno signatures, one of which i made myself, so i thought it would be a good chance for me to expand my sig collection. so i hit up ragnar and jess and they made me some lovely signatures that will be living in my signature rotation for as long as guy zheng is still on the atlanta inferno in the simulation hockey league, and i assume that means they will live there for quite a few more seasons, or at least until i retire probably or hotdog fires me from my job for not test simming enough. maybe i should've commissioned a @Gwdjohnson sig from @Briedaqueduc too.

The money I've made so far in my career has the set kid up nicely without it I'd still be in crushing debt. Most of my money has gone into investments and future bussiness ventures as I cant play in the shl forever. My kids college will also cost a pretty penny so for now there hasnt been alot of crazy spending. Maybe in the future I'll splurge and start to get sports cars or something that can make me feel young again but for now that stuff can wait on the back burner. Once my career is over I'll probably grab a nice big house too I play in Tampa but Pittsburgh is home baby. For now I'm just a ho hum guy that likes the little things in life nothing to crazy nothing to drastic just the simple things life gives me. So may e one day but for now ima just chill

Glad you asked Keekee, I think for me, my first purchase would be a car. Having only relied on my family to buy me a car, having one that I purchased with my own money would definitely have extra meaning to it. Being paid three million I could easily spend a couple hundred grand on a nice car and be very happy with it. Would probably drive something nice but not too overstated. Probably a porche. I think Tanjiro's biggest concern would be having to learn how to drive stick although being from Japan maybe he already knows how to. For tanjiro his only family is Nezuko who is a demon so he'd buy her a nice house that has no windows or at least blackout curtains to make sure that she didn't melt from the sun, because you know demon. For me I would probably buy my parents a beach house. We currently are finishing up our renovations and my guess is that they would want to live in it for a while so buying them a new house would be kind of awkward. I think a beach house would be exactly what they wanted or at least what my dad would want so that would work out great.

To some, the way you look is incredibly important. David S. Pumpkins is undoubtedly a member of this aforementioned "some"; his looks, both on the ice and off of it, are incredibly important to him. First and foremost, Pumpkins will be purchasing ice skates with a diamond blade on the bottom. Can you think of anything more baller? Of course not. Next, Pumpkins will be purchasing a red mahogany hockey stick. I don't know if hockey sticks are supposed to abide by some sort of regulation, but if that becomes an issue, Pumpkins will also use some of his money to bribe officials. These are the prices we have to pay to style. Lastly, Pumpkins will purchase a bassoon and learn the bassoon. He will play bassoon on the sideline before big games to intimidate his opponents. Pumpkins realizes that he cannot spend ALL of his contract on vain and exorbitant showpieces, so he'll also set aside some of his money for training and coaching sessions so that he can be a good teammate and, one day, slap puck with the best of them.

It's payday in the SMJHL. Daddy Sonic from the Baltimore Platoon (SMJHL daddy team) has jumped head-first into a spike and now Rob Wright, a forward with the Nevada Battleborn, has untold wealth.

"Conventional wisdom says to save it for training." The Norway native said during an interview with WHATEVER THIS IS™ Magazine's Sean "The Goose" Goose. Saving may be the smart choice, but Rob Wright likes to spend frivolously, or so he told us.

"Me on the other hand? Well, I have two kids, so like 98% of my cheques go to their Farmville towns. They're ranked #2 and #3 respectively in the South-West Norway." Wright lights up another hand-rolled $20 bill-into-a-cigarette. "So, yeah, I'm literally paying for two virtual farms for a 5- and 8-year old. I'm not proud of myself, but I am proud of my kids' dreams. I've gotta fund that."

We asked Wright for insight into his bank statements. He happily showed us his chequing account through a Norway bank and we have no idea if he's rich or poor.

All this and more at WHATEVER THIS IS™ Magazine, the only exclusively-live podcast.

For a long time Rex Kirkby was more or less living from paycheck to paycheck. Sometimes not even able to buy the equipment for the season until that season was already over. He even managed to con the bank under the old system and was found to be 16 million dollars in debt when the new system came into force. Then Kirkby discovered gambling. Betting changed his life for the better. He never had to worry about money and every bet he placed seemed to be a sure thing. Doing media appearences and promotions were a thing of the past with a cool twelve million a year coming in. Then along came an evil Grinch called @hotdog who was determined to steal all of Kirkby's easily earned gains. So what is rex going to spend his pay check on considering it may dry up? Probably more gambling in an effort to maintain those gains but also probably on rare SHL player cards that offer little to no tangible value.

Austin Roenick is not like one of the those bitch boys who would waste money on something they would not even use and just buy it to show off. Austin Roenick is very careful of his money and he would use to for his self improvements. Whether it is a nice house or hockey related. He needs better equipment and better trainers who help him get better so he used the money for those stuff and not wasteful items like rings or shoes or something like that. Austin Roenick also uses his money to help his family out because he is not one of the assholes who would forget their family. So he would help them out with a very nice place and good life to live. Austin Roenick also helps the community out with charities and events so Austin Roenick overall is a very nice guy and someone you should look up to and if not, fuck you.

Ruslan of course is enjoying being a mainstay in the Toronto North Stars organization for four seasons here in the SHL. Having just signed a three year contract valued at $5,000,000 each year, he is sure to stick around. Everyone knows he had bought a house when he signed his last contract due to his performance bonus'. Ruslan of course also LOVES cooking, especially recipes handed down from his babushka but food is not that expensive.

What few know is that Ruslan LOVES older cars. Those from his old country and the rest of Eastern Europe are of course top of the list. However the LADA Riva he once rented is rather old. What if he bought a new one? I present to you, Ruslan Zaporozhets new LADA 1200, the Zapo89'. Custom made in Toronto North Stars Blue. With White Adidas Stripe of course. This masterpiece comes with Russian Rug hand made by mama in back seat, massive base in trunk, and ice skate rear view mirror ornament. Very Classy.

Ah yes, payday. The day where, even if only for the briefest of moments, my bank account isn’t one Taco Bell trip away from overdraft. The first thing is obviously splurge a little bit on training. As much as I’d love to spend it all on personal enjoyment you have to invest in yourself or that next paycheck might not come. Next up is pay my 13 month late rent. Okay now that the important things are out of the way it’s time to ball out. Buy a few cars, spend a couple million on trips around the world, and of course buy the newest set of golf clubs to take to PGA courses while I find some free time when we are on the road.

After I’ve spent to my hearts content the rest goes into savings. That leaves me with tree fiddy in the savings account. That’s dollars and cents. Not to bad.

Money money money is what makes the world go round they say! I am a strong believer of that phrase and that is why I like to spend. Don't get me wrong, I do like to have some sort of safety net cause that's just wise to do so. But when I go about I like to go in style and I also like to spoil anyone around me. Pre SHL life style was not that way though, going to hockey games in my sweats and jean jackets but now with all this cash in my pockets/bank account, I walk into every arena sporting tailor made suits by Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, Prada, Givenchy etc etc. Prices range from three thousand a suit all the way to twenty thousand. Funny thing is, I am a hat person but all these fancy hats just don't do me right so I only own two which set me back a few hundred dollars and they are called Frescobol Carioca. Got it in all white and a second in all black. So safe to say I am all set in the hat department for now,

Everyone loves the fancy cars, the big homes, and all the designer brands (I do too, who doesn’t?). However, that being said, I think what I normally do with the money I receive from my pay checks goes straight in to investments. Making my money work for me and make more money is the way to go. With everything happening in the world I think it opened a lot of people’s eyes to investing and looking in to how you can make more money.

On top of that, a large amount of my paycheck goes towards trying to help me stay relevant and at the top of my game. I’m getting older in this league and these new kids are getting better and faster than I am. I need to continuously put money in to training, nutrition and anything that could help get me ready for the season and keep me at the top of my game.

Jimmy Jimmy came into a smaller amount of money than the first year of his SHL contract. He didn't know how to spend it at first, he's still a young kid. Luckily he was taught at a young age how to manage money. It was one of the things he was taught by his father. He invested 50% of his earnings into stocks, those stocks were never said by Jimmy. Next, he put 30% into a savings account to accumulate over time. He's been saving 30% of all money he's earned since a young age, which has grown to an impressive $64,3076,849.32. WOW! After he saved 30%, he spent the rest of the 20%. He spent the rest of the money on food, a new gaming computer, he helped out Texans with their situation. Donating water and food to people without it, He wants to help.
