Let me throw this out here before it hits social media.. #Video-Izzy has officially cut a deal with the SMJHL on a playoff hype video! (Contract details undisclosed).. Which players are to represent this reel are still being discussed in the editing room.. So I’m bringing this to the peoples! if you want to nominate yourself or someone else for this media endeavour.. please post some wording on that player below.. why you/they should be representing the SMJHL in a hype vid and anything pertinent that advances the cause! (Stats, accolades, pics, backgrounds and suspicious escapades are welcome.. bribes will be considered)

Matty Sandeen should be featured in the hype video because Newfoundland has been a main storyline in the J as they find themselves back among the leagues elite teams, and as their number 1 defenseman (and only 425 defender) Sandeen is certainly a big reason for that. Sandeen is among the leagues highest scoring defenders and is even tied for the league lead in assists. While some stats such as plus/minus, currently -8, and GF/60 (2.6) vs GA/60(3.5) leave some to be desired, a 91.4 PDO paired with a CF% of 60.2 and FF% of 62 suggests that Sandeen has been incredibly unlucky. Newfoundland is just getting out of their busiest part of the schedule so fitness should be better the rest of the way which could certainly help performance. If the points keep coming and some of the advanced stats regress to the mean Sandeen could certainly be in the mix for Defensman of the Year.

Alexis Saint-Michel of Vancouver currently leads all rookies in goal scoring this year with 13 and has a total of 17 points. He's been out on a quest to prove other teams were dead wrong in not picking him up earlier in the draft and wants nothing than to make Vancouver champions once again after they took 2 big chances on him (once as a DFA and again in the draft.) He's deep in the hunt for rookie of the year and while some performances from the Whalers have left a lot to be desired (in part due to the fact that their schedule had them facing all of the best teams in the league very early in the year) the team is rebounding strong and with ASM scoring two hat tricks in a row against Colorado, he is crucial part moving forward

Jay sink is an elite sniper who has the most goals of any player in the smjhl right now and is just 2 shy of breaking the fhm era record for goals. Literally every game this fucking guy is potting at least 2 and not greasy ones either these are just snipes. Screen or no screen that shot is going top tits big mitts put me in the fucking dryer because I'm creaming just thinking about it

Vouch for ASM, I'm no historian but I'm doubting a rookie in the SMJHL has ever put up back to back hatties so it's a shoo-in
