Now that the season is approaching the halfway point, I figured it would be a good time to do my deep dives and earn some extra tpe. My first article will look at the rookies on the Carolina Kraken.

Goalie - Shawn Lonkert - 155 tpe

There isn't much to say about Lonkert. Coming in at 155 tpe, and not even appearing in the index, he's quite the mysterious figure. Spending just 15 minutes on the site since creating in February 5th, he never created an update page. While he may go down in history as one of the all time greats, it's fair to say he's taking the slow route to get there.

Right Wing - Harald Malmquist - 178 tpe

Next up is Harald Malmquist. The first winger on our list, Malmquist is another one that appears to be taking their time reaching the MVP level of play we expect. Having not been on the site for about 2 weeks, it doesn't look good for their SHL draft prospects. Sitting on 4 goals and 8 points so far this season, Harald is a decent filler piece for the Kraken.

Left Defense - Gino Lombardo - 199 tpe

@pat brings a lot to the table. Gino is a solid defenseman, and he has a knack for punching people in the face. Currently sitting at 5 fights, with 3 wins, Gino is second in the league with fighting majors. Gino had seemed to be just going through the motions after the draft, but after he started clobbering some people he really seems to be getting invested in the league. Big potential here.

Left Wing - Twelve Forty-Seven Fifteen - 205 tpe

Numbers is a great locker room presence. He's still finding his game on the ice, and working on getting chemistry with his line mates, but he's managed to put up 4 points on the season so far. There's big potential in Numbers, even if he does seem to play Madden all day when we have a day off.

Right Defense - Granny PanPan - 222 tpe

Granny brings 1 goal and 8 points to the Kraken so far this season. One of the higher earners, Granny is pretty quiet in the locker room. Granny has been a great teammate, and comes in to work and get things done.

Left Wing - Aleks Blixtstrom - 232 tpe

Blixtstrom is here to score goals and chew bubblegum. He's great at doing them simultaneously, too. He's rocking 9 goals and 12 points on the season. He's tied for second on the team in goals, which is really impressive for a rookie. He's earned steady tpe, and is on pace for a great career in the J.

Left Wing - Cormac Pónaire - 248 tpe

Cormac eats too many beans. Currently the second highest earner on tpe on the team, he has a lot of work to do to earn his coaches trust. He has the lowest ice time on the team, behind only Harald.

Center - Daud Ramza - 275 tpe

Our top earner for the rookie class, Ramza has been a steady earner and provides 3 goals and 12 points. He's definitely going to be a major part of this team moving forward, and could even be their star center in another season or two.
