My season was pretty good. I had 47 points in 66 games. However, I did not score as many goals as I wanted, I had 19 goals. In the role I played, I should have at least 25. I shot 174 times, so 10.9% of them finding back of the net is decent I guess. As mentioned, I played in a huge role, and it's not like it would be out of this world to suggest that someone can score 25 goals with 174 shots.
I had 17 penalty minutes and 101 hits in 66 games, so when it comes down to discipline, that is a lot better than during previous seasons. Some might remember me having the most hits and being among the most penalized players in SMJHL, but that changed a little bit at least. I still had over 100 hits. One part in the physical and discipline area surprised me, I got into just one fight during the whole season! That is a positive change, I won that fight naturally. Overall, I'm happy with my season. It could have been better, as mentioned, but when you finish first in team scoring and manage to trim down the penalty minute total - that is a good year.

Goku Muerto really had a down and up season with the Winnipeg Aurora. For the first half of the season he was really struggling to put points on the board, in fact at the 42 games mark (Trade Deadline) he was only sitting at 27 points, including just 1 even-strength goal. This is after several seasons of putting up close to a point per game. It wasn't entirely unexpected, as Goku has been regressing hard and also with some younger linemates, he knew there might be a drop in production. But interestingly, the team did some line-shuffling after the 42 game mark, which seemed to ignite something in Goku as he was a PPG player after that, 24 points in 24 games to finish with 51. So in the end, Goku's points were not bad, and he even was able to hit the 600 career points mark, and Winnipeg was able to squeak into the playoffs, so it definitely finished the season better than it started!

S58 was a fantastic one for the Toronto North Stars, who made the playoffs for the first time in the FHM era. But for Rhys Pritchard it was a bit of a roller coaster. I would have hoped to break the 50 point barrier for the first time this season but I fell just short. Last year, I set a career high with 47 points 19 goals and 28 assists. This year I set career highs in goals (20) and points (48). That's right, I scored exactly one more goal than last season. On the surface, it appears that I'm not getting better at a rate that matches my TPE. But if we dig a bit deeper we see that there is more to the story. I played a career low in ice time (19:38) which indicates that my time on the ice is more efficient. I also had a career low shooting percentage (10.26%) which tells me that I probably should have had a few more goals trickle in. Additionally, I played better defensive hockey with a career high Corsi For (58.1%) and defensive game rating (58). It appears that I'm rounding into quite a capable two way forward.

I can honestly say I had a very good season and met my expectations, as high as those expectations might be. Last season, as crazy as it may seem, was kind of underwhelming as far as my standards for myself go. After a massive season in S56 I was expecting a lot of myself in S57, and while I managed to put up good numbers, I was not happy with my overall production, especially with an increase in the number of games. In addition to the regular season production, I felt like I let my team down in the playoffs. I take a large part of the blame for coming up short in the playoffs last season, and I want to change that this season.
Now with S58 I felt like I got back to being myself and producing at the level that I could. I was back in the running for the Karpotsov until the end of the season and just felt like I was making things happen when out on the ice. It’s great to see and I want to continue that play and energy in the playoffs. Now if only this bye round would end…

Paul Binder's sophomore season in the Juniors has been so much better than what he was expecting. After a fairly standard rookie season and winning the Junior Championship, I was hoping to make a slightly larger impact to be maybe a 3rd line forward. Fast forward to the end of the season, and Binder is leading the team in points with 42, 2nd on the team in goals, 16, and tied for first on the team in assists, 26. Binder had always wanted to be an elite two way forward that's both a threat on the ice offensively, but can also shut down the opposition defensively, but he was not expecting such an offensive surge in only his 2nd year. Now unfortunately, since the playoffs have started, he's gone 4 games straight with 0 points and is making a fool out of himself. There's still 2 games left and potentially more so there's plenty of time to turn things around.

This season was a really good success story for both Nathan and the San Francisco Pride. Not only did were the Pride able to make the playoffs and cover the over in the Casino they put up some strong numbers versus teams that were a much higher caliber. Being in a lot of games and competing with top teams was more than anyone on the team could have asked for this year. Being a very young team and just starting the upswing of the rebuild not much was expected of the team. But the rookies have come through great this year and put up fantastic numbers and came together as a group. The future is looking bright in San Fran. Nathan being one of the lowest TPE defenseman on the team enjoyed some success this season as well. Being a little more offensively minded landed him on the power play and was able to contribute the odd time in games for a total of 12 points. This was a great start to his career in San Fran and looking forward to what the next years will bring.

I am so proud of the first season as the Winnipeg Aurora. We made the playoffs and unfortunately got swept in four games, but I want to talk about the effort this Winnipeg team took to get into the last playoff spot to face a team that can win it all this season in the Buffalo Stampede. We had to win out to get into the playoffs and we fought hard the last 10 games to get that last spot, our first season as the Aurora has shown what this team will look like in the future, we will win. We have the youth to bring us forward, but right now we are just too young. And it showed in this playoff against Buffalo, the second line of Zelma and Zakkira with the MVP candidate from last season Nick Brain showed flashes of greatness, Zakkira was there to pick up anything Zelma or Nick put on the net. That second line will be back with vengeance next season. Look out for them to put up massive numbers next season.

My season went really well. It certainly doesn't hurt that the Renegades were incredibly competitive this season. 57 points, 39 assists, 18 goals and +35 are all career highs. My shot blocks decreased, although those seem to be highest when you're getting massively outshot, but my hitting increased. More time in the offensive zone, on the forecheck. I also spent a significant amount of time on the powerplay this season, where previously I had been a penalty kill specialist. Probably still not high enough to win any awards or be a popular fantasy pick, but hey that's OK with me. We're in the playoffs and hopefully can go deep. This team looks like it's set up for success the next several seasons and so those numbers should keep going up. Hopefully, I can add a couple trophies before my time with this player it up, although I still have several more seasons before I have to worry about that. Still at least 3 seasons away from regression, so time to just keep growing.

I couldn't be happier with this season, both on a personal level and for San Francisco as a team. Since HLO came up to the SHL he has never really been much of a producer. Honestly, he has been total shit which may also be due to to the rebuild ofcourse but I was really hoping to be more of a two-way player. This season HLO really stepped up in all areas of the game and I'm very excited. Getting to a point per game level was one of my goals I set for myself for this player and being a top Fantasy pick as well was just the icing on the cake for me.
As far as the team goes, I couldn't be happier with how San Francisco performed this season. The rookies really stepped up and carried this team to a much better record than I think anyone was expecting. Future is looking bright and I'm super stoked about it.

This season was a roller coaster for Reid. Before the season started, @jeffie43 promised me 50+ points, and I started the season as a shadow. Things did not start as planned, as along with the team I had a shit PDO, and was shooting like 3% for most of the start of the season. At some point, my role was switched, and the second line I was playing on started clicking. In the latter half of the season, I started putting up the points - actually scoring a fair number of goals. As a playmaker, this was sorta unusual, but who knew it was so fun to score? @lilstifler was an excellent linemate, and we really clicked as the season went on. I ended up with 38 points, 1 less than my career high last season. I would call that a success, as I basically traded WPG second line for SEA second line. While Darzins was an upgrade, the other wing, Rykov, was a slight downgrade in TPE. Hopefully next season, as Darzins and I improve in TPE, and I get an active and higher TPE wing, I will explode onto the scene with more points to help Seattle get to the playoffs and win some games!
Thanks Wasty, Carpy, JSS, TurdFerguson, Geekusoid and Awesomecakes for the sigs!

It's been dark days for both me as a user and my player, Knox Booth. I can say with certainty that I am a lucky person in that I have been able to play for such a great team for so long. Last season I made the mistake of upgrading my stamina and I truly believe this has caused me to have a significant step back in terms of my consistency and production, which quite frankly is shocking in itself. I must be one of the only people on this site looking forward to regression because it means I can at least take TPE away from my stamina and try to revert back to my previous build which gave me the greatness I had experienced for a season or two. I am still a top goalie in the league but nowhere I need to be and we've yet again reached the end of another dismal season where we have yet to progress to the point I had hoped we would be at. As a user I no longer create media, I have no drive for it, so I spent all my contract money and I am just holding on until I can help LAP win, or they find a better replacement.

Alright, where do I even begin? What a season for Edward Williams. Absolutely one of the surprise stories of the year for SHL players. A third line player for Texas Renegades who found himself on the scoresheet most weeks. Finishing the season with 31 goals and 37 assists, that puts big Ed at 68 points in 66 games, managing to get PPG for the season. My goal was to eventually get PPG at my player's peak, and somehow we've smashed that in just my third SHL season! Granted, we started S58 absolutely on fire and Williams did tail off at the end, in typical big Ed fashion. Then we have Texas who, of course, won the President's Trophy this season for most points in the regular season. Scored the most goals, and conceded the third fewest, with a whopping Win % of 0.826 means it was just a phenomenal season for the Renes. The only thing that could be better is if Texas goes on to win the cup, but of course that involves not just skill, but a great deal of luck. Need Edward Williams and the third line to start picking up points again and contributing and we might just see the first cup for Renes in over 20 seasons.
