While a team based on my home planet would certainly be my first choice, I understand that humanity might not feel comfortable with such an intergalactic leap at this point. One of my biggest interests is neurosurgery, and Case Western University has an excellent program for training humans in the field. Based in Cleveland Ohio, I would love to see a team called the Cleveland Brainiacs. The team mascot could be a double combination of a brain and a scalpel - it would be such a wonderful way to celebrate not only the city of Cleveland, but also it's rich history of brain surgery!

A true Boston franchise is probably about the only way that Kickz is going to want to play for a brand new expansion team. And although the SHL has a New England team in the Wolfpack, it certainly doesn't have that Boston city feel of many of the other professional teams in the area. An expansion team in Boston probably isn't possible, though.
Thanks Jove for my sig

I wont leave for a brand, i couldnt care any less what the logo or brand is for the team I play for. That said, any team outside of the continental US can gtfo. Other leagues have teams in fucking japan or australia. Mother fucker do you know how long those flights are? Its the most unrealistic thing i have ever seen.

Lets start with expanding out of earth! The Jupiter Jacks will be the first non-earth team in the SHL. While it might be harsh on travel times, having Jupiter host a hockey team will be a great start in setting up a galactic hockey league!

I'd love to see a random city like Tijuana, Mexico city, Honolulu get the expansion. However, I do think that some Junior teams need to make the full jump up to the SHL. Vancouver, Detroit, Colorado are all teams that are deserving of actual SHL representation. Especially when you have teams like Hamilton in the league. Bigger markets means bigger fan base and better revenue for the teams.

I do not believe there is a single brand out there that could drag Nathan away form the Pride. How on earth could you give up on a living in San Francisco of all places and being part of a Lions pride! Especially with the jersey redesign it would take something out of this world to make Nathan even think about leaving his new found home.

The city that I will choose for this new expansion team is Montreal. For branding, I will choose an old concept that I made awhile back called the Olympians.

I'd love to see a team in the Atlantic Canada, maybe in Halifax. It's a huge hockey hotbed in Canada and it always gets overlooked when people discuss potential expansion plans. An Halifax team would be pretty cool, although I'm not sure it would be economically viable in real life, I'm sure it could happen in SHL.

We were blessed with the announcement of expansion during the offseason, here are some locations who I think deserve a shot at a team.
Miami: This city currently has the NHL’s panthers and is a proven exotic market, I think a vaporwave style color scheme would go perfectly. London: I would think something about the British royalty, but London would the first SHL team outside of North America which we need.

At this point I have to say that the best place to have an expansion team would be somewhere else in Canada, somewhere there is currently not a team. If there was a team there in the past then that would be weird, maybe a team that didn't play in the SHL and was instead part of the J, now that would have a real impact on the League.

David Kastrba will die in Manhattan. luckily for the Rage (or maybe not) and the point of this PT, he will most likely be dead (retiring) around the time of expansion anyway. my first choice for a team is always Boston, big shocker there, but since we have NEW i guess that a no go. there arent many locations i can think of that arent already covered by the SHL, but one city that comes to mind that i'd like to visit would be Nashville. the musical history surrounding Nashville is definitely interesting to me, although i am not a Country music fan by any means. still, there is a certain level of respect i have for anything musical so if that was some how incorporated into the branding... that coupled with the city itself could easily have some pull with me.

Where would I go if there was an expansion team? I think we really need international teams, so I would put a team in London, England, specifically Tottenham. I would call them the Red Squirrels.
