S59 mPT #1 Expansion City

I would like to see another Canadian team added to this league, which is why I would love to see Ottawa added to this site. What is there not to like about the nation's capital?

Montreal is one of the biggest hockey city in the world and it does not have an shl team which is stupid. We need to see the Montreal Quebecers.

I've been super lucky to be in Kelowna and soon to be Calgary, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. If I HAD to though, I'd hop on with the Pineapple Express. Doesn't really matter what city they end up in, I'd just be really excited to wear a jersey with a pineapple on it. It would also spark the long debate of whether or not pineapples belong on hockey jerseys.

Pretty much if the team is Bean related or the have a bean sponsor or that they have a bean conveyer belt in the locker room would be enough for me

Shout out Ragnarr for these two amazing sigs

Let's get a team back on the East Coast of Canada in the SHL. How about Halifax? That's my hometown, I'd be so stoked to go there in the expansion draft. Much further West, how about Saskatoon? Have always loved the name of the city and think they got ripped off of an IRL NHL team years ago. Saskatoon Wheat Kings. Little combination of some WHL teams.

I love Seattle and I obviously can't wait til I am called up to play for the Argos. But I would absolutely, positively drop it all to play for a team based in Philadelphia. Why Philadelphia? The people there are hard scrabble, their tough, they don't give a damn if you like them or not. They expect the best. Losing is not an option. Failure is not an option. A blue collar team from a blue collar city, I would go in half a heartbeat.

Proud and happy to be playing in Colorado at the moment, Seattle drafted me and I am also proud and grateful for the opportunity as well, but if there is one branding that I would consider leaving the two previous teams mentioned, it would have to be a branding from my neck of the woods. Who does not want to play in their own backyard, seeing family and close friends whenever I please. So this branding has to be the "Mascouche Heights". Yup, a suburb situated just north of the great Montreal Metropolitan area. The logo would be a mountain top with slight snow and ice at the peak.

110% we need a Montreal expansion team and any other answer is flat out wrong. Montreal is the craziest city about hockey in the world and its unreal that we went last cycle without getting a team put there (thanks tig / hotdog :madge: ). Makes me especially mad that Quebec City of all places has a team while I'm here as a Montrealer having to sit around with no hometown team. I don't know that I'd play for a Montreal branded team, but its representation we need on the site as the hockey capital of North America and maybe the world.

Being the one the rebranded the Minnesota Monarchs and then moved to the Hamilton Steelhawks, with a brand that is sure to never change and already really close to my hometown, the only expansion I think would leave Hamilton for would be an expansion team of my hometown. We're pretty small though so that would never happen :p

If the SHL ever decided to get a division on Europe, HLO would have a hard time saying no to a team in Sweden. Its always nice to be home and the fan culture in Europe is so different to the US its hard to compare the two. If we are talking NA destinations only, Utah is probably the one place more than any other that Henrik would be willing to leave for. Its a beautiful state with lots of outdoor activities for him to take part in.

SHL definitely needs team in Ottawa. Imagine thoes canadian rivalries if Ottawa had a team. I don't know why there is not team yet, but I hope Ottawa gets franchise in the next expansion.

Since I like warm weather I would say Miami. For sure it will be a bit hard to have ice all year around but if Los Angeles can do it then Miami can do it too.

William Salming would leave Seattle only if there would be an expansion team from Europe. Pretty much all European countries and cities would be fine but it could be fun to play in Russia (St. Petersburg), Finland (Helsinki) or Sweden (Stockholm). Maybe Germany (Berlin or München) too.

Edmonton has been welcoming and I am so glad to be there. The only thing they do not really understand is the stresses of living a double life. The constant fear that my other identity will be discovered still haunts me. I would join a team that truly understand and accepts this aspect of my life. I propose the Metropolis alter egos. Metropolis is no stranger to people with alter egos and a shocking ability to not recognize them. The mascot options are also simple. Through a fake mustache and googly eyeglasses on anyone for that full identity concealment.

Sorry, fam. I'm a New England kid, even if the inspiration behind my avatar is an old man in the start of a mid-life crisis. I am having a blast playing with a great group of people who are putting up with my terrible sophomore season. It's been a solid offseason, and I'm hoping to make more of a difference this season for the team. Feel free to expand, I'll be hiding under the bed waiting for the expansion draft to be over and hope I survive.  Ahh
