I love it here in Hamilton, but if an expansion team shows up in Montreal, I'd be very tempted to try it out. Great city that had an SMJHL team, but it's only right that they are finally given the SHL team they deserve.

Redneck hockey is severely underated. In my D2 beer league (some of the lowest level hockey out there) you have players fighting over goals and all sorts of petty shit. Even in Alabama there's a cult following of hockey and alcohol. That's why the Alabama Wife Beaters should be the next team.
The only way that Patrick Shepherd would willingly leave Baltimore for an expansion team would be if a team was added close to his home town in Ohio. A team in Dayton, Columbus, or Cincinnati would be able to draw his attention and make having a chance to live closer to family a real draw.

I'll start by saying that Rhys Pritchard is very happy in Toronto. However, it is an unfortunate reality that Toronto is beginning to bump up against cap problems and the reality of expansion coming up offers a possible solution. Rhys is attached to the team and fans in Toronto but the city itself exists in Canada and Canada is a bit cold for Pritchard. A city in a place like Texas, Florida, Tennessee or Kentucky would be of interest to Rhys. Given his growing love for the world of the American Spirit, it seems that Bourbon country might be just the place for the Toronto winger. If an expansion team were to show up in Louisville or Lexington Kentucky, Rhys might just have to have a hard conversation with Toronto management about leaving him unprotected in the expansion draft.

The only expansion team that could make me put down my GM badge and hop teams is if we get a team in Sweden. More specifically, Stockholm. The main reason is, of course, because that's where I'm from originally. I don't have any overwhelmingly strong bonds to any location in the US or Canada yet. At least nothing strong enough that'd make me leave New England.
When it comes to branding it's tough. I'm not a very creative soul. The branding would have to be pretty neutral to Stockholm and Sweden in general to work well and properly represent the country/city. As this would definitely be the only Swedish team to be allowed in our league. So of course, being as uncreative as I am. The main colors would be blue and yellow.
When it comes to the name. Well, being based in Stockholm makes it easy enough to decide on the location part of the name. I think it is surprising that the capital of both Canada and USA, Ottawa and Washington, do not have SHL teams. I think it would be cool to have teams in both of those cities, but it would still not really pull me to leave my current team if im being honest.

I’m not sure I have any such pet peeve branding that would pry me away from my current Texas team, even if I do think their jerseys could use just a liiiiittle bit more color... at least somewhere... so they at least wouldn’t always make me question if my screen had suddenly gone monochrome? But speaking about expansion team brandings, I have to say that I really like the branding of the Atlanta Inferno from the last expansion. The color schemes, logos and jersey designs are all hot as hell, in my opinion!
