For the SHL equivalent of of a first edition shadowless Charizard, you can look no further than a base Damian Littleton. With Leafs4ever being an owner of the site and Damian Littleton being one of the first, if not the first players ever created, it is a no brainer that the base Damian Littleton card will be the most rare and most valuable. In addition to being one of the first players in the league, Damian Littleton had a solid career winning the Challenge Cup in his first season, and once again in S7. This is not even mentioning the 3 other awards he got during his 8 seasons in the league.

Now although his career goals and points do not hold up too well through out history, for a rare and valuable card we have to look beyond that and recognize the effect the player had on the league during their time and their legacy. A first edition shadowless Charizard has this exact history and legacy even though the card is not playable in this day and age. Damian Littleton would be the exact same thing with regards to these factors with Leafs4ever still being a part of the site, therefore further cementing a base Damien Littleton card rarity.

To further increase the rarity like a first edition shadowless Charizard, the SHL cards team should limit the number of base Damian Littleton cards available in the league, making it a hot commodity for collectors that want to get their hands on it. Dreaming beyond that, if there was such thing as card degradation, if this base Damian Littleton card is "printed" first, this first batch cannot be replicated and degradation would just further increase the rarity as collectors search for the best quality.

The first card will be my SHINY MVP Zakkira Diporov card! He will be so rare that everyone is going to want him. I’m pretty excited for this to happen, once I win the MVP, I want that card made. And it will be worth millions!

My guess would be a near mint, foil Esa Anrikkanen rookie card with a clean signature and a nice piece of a game worn jersey on the card. It'll be so specific and hard to find that we might only ever see something like... 3 cards of it ever opened.

Come to think of it, I have no idea who should deserve it. Maybe one of the greatest players to play the game right now in his prime? Maybe the first playoff MVP when trading cards come out? I honeslty have no idea - but it should be something great

let's be real here, there's one player who we all know is going to have a rare card because he's that awesome, and that is newly-minted 1k player (Clean) Andrei Kostitsyn. he scor pucc, he hit u, he win. wawawewa.

@Dewalt27 will be that person. He always finds ways to get things that he doesn't deserve. He's also sneaky and will find a way to get something through possibly illegal means.

It's hard to predict how card rarities will look like in a few years, but one that will skyrocket is the card of DeMaricus Smyth. This old bum has everything that you need to get a decent raritiy level. He's close to his end, but future Hall of Fame, and trading cards aren't out just now. So assuming they come this season, you only get a very short time to get his card. Mix that up with a future HOF card and there you go.

It'll definitely be Narboza Manyhands. He's breaking societal norms by being the first intergalactic hockey player and paving the way for his species to partake in human activities. A true pioneer.

When looking at current players, Elizabeth Doyle comes to mind for a top-tier card. Former rookie of the year, two-time goalie of the year, and still in her prime, she is going to have a legendary career when it’s all said and done, and she’s going to have one of the most valuable trading cards to boot on top of it.

Andrei Kostitsyn is going to be the most in demand card in the league. If for no other reason than the memes. Sometimes that's all that it takes.

Easy question for me because I don't have to look very far from home for this one; Kaarlo Kekkonen is going to have the most valuable SHL trading card of all time. When all is said and done, he will be the greatest player in SHL history so it only makes sense that he'd have the most sought after card to go along with it

If I were to pick a player whose card is comparable to Charizard, then its gotta be that Tony Pepperoni card. This guy is a legend, and even at the end of his career is still one of the best players in the league. Unique and one of a kind.

I have no doubt that one day, a Duncan the Walrus card will go at auction for an absurd amount of money. I mean, have you seen the guy, err Walrus? He’s suave, he’s charismatic, not to mention those sparkly white tusks. That’s not even considering Duncan’s skill on the ice. Everyone gets out of the way when they see a one ton defenseman barreling towards them, no matter how brave they are!
