I wanted to look back at the history of the Colorado Organization and highlight the Captains. From their debut in Season 25 all the way up to the present Season 59. 35 seasons to look back on and reflect. Almost 6 years in real life!

I searched for Colorado Captains announcements in the graded media sections, checked in the Colorado site Locker Room, and also the Colorado Discord Server. It took me a while to find all, well almost all, of the seasons. I did have some help in the search to dig up some info. I could not find any info on Season 33 and Season 37 for Captains anywhere. So if you know anything just let me know. Here are all the Captains in Colorado History.

Notes
  • First ever Colorado Captain was Sergei Volchenkov (Jake_ilinnucuc). Volchenkov played two seasons with Colorado before going to the SHL to play 4 seasons with Los Angeles. 
  • The first ever Colorado Raptor Captain was Cash Savage (Cash savage). Savage played two seasons with Colorado before going to Kelowna for final SMJHL season. Played in the SHL for 6 seasons with 3 different teams.
  • There are 6 seasons where there were 4 Captains selected (S34, S38, S45, S51, S53, S58)
  • 1 season there were 5 Captains selected (S41) This was called the "Raptor Pack". 
  • There have been 3 seasons where a Goalie was named a Captain. (S34, S38, S53) S38 is only year that the Goalie (Aleksandr Aleksandrov) was named the Captain of the team. 
  • The have been 25 different Captains for Colorado. Of those 25, 8 have been Captains twice. And all have been Captain in back-to-back seasons. (Kristoffer Ruud - ByrdeMan, Jacob Andrews - Jacob, Cassius Darrow - hhh81, Bo Kane - NONAME, Henrik Lekberg Osterman  Thatguy91, Simothy Drunkebird - Esso2264, Jean-Uthred Ragnarsson-Tremblay - lespoils, Ruggs McOoooh - Ruggsy). There has not been a player to be Captain for 3 seasons. 
  • There has been 14 players who have been Alternate Captains for 2 seasons. Once again, no one has been an Alternate for 3 seasons. 
  • There have been 5 players who have been in a Captains role for 3 seasons. Kristoffer Ruud (2 Captains, 1 Alternate), Finn Krüger (1 Captain, 2 Alternates), Henrik Lekberg Osterman (2 Captains, 1 Alternate), Jean-Uthred Ragnarsson-Tremblay (2 Captains, 1 Alternate), and Ruggs McOoooh (2 Captains, 1 Alternate)
  • Wumaduce has been in a captains role for 3 seasons but with 2 different players. Wuma Duce was an Alternate for 1 season and Captain for 1 season. Then Derek Bohne Jr was an Alternate for 1 season. 
  • Esso2264 has been in a captaincy role for Colorado 6 different seasons. 2 Alternate Captains with Jakub Novak, 2 Alternate Captain Seasons with Simothy Drunkebird, and 2 Captain seasons with Simothy Drunkebird. Simothy Drunkebird is the only player in Colorado history to be in Captains role for 4 seasons. 
  • Colorado Captains that have been a SHL GM or CO-GM. FourFour (Texas CO/ BUF CO), Tanner (Hamilton GM), BigTittySmitty (LAP CO), galatix (SFP CO), StaticShocked (TBB GM & CO), FlappyGiraffe (WPG GM), Allegiant (EDM GM & CO), Wasty (LAP GM), Troy_McClure03 (WPG CO), TommySalami (EDM CO), Tomen (BUF CO), StadiumGambler (WPG CO), Thatguy91 (SFP GM), JT3 (LAP CO).
