Earlier today, @CementHands announced to the team that he will be stepping down from the Maine Co-GM role. With eight seasons as Co-GM of the team, Krash is someone that everyone in our locker room loves. He is responsible for finding some of the greatest draft picks in Maine history and will always have his place in the history of the team. With that being said, I would like to announce who will be taking his place as Co-GM going forward.

I know this is an incredibly quick turn-around. To be honest with you all, Krash and I have had talks about him moving on from the Co-GM position for the past two seasons. We have actively been planning what will be the next steps for the Timber and who would take on the Co-GM responsibilities. We now know we have that person as part of our franchise already and I think that played into Krash’s decision to officially step aside.

I want to thank Krash for everything. I was nervous coming into this GM role but Krash kept me level-headed and introduced me to Maine methods that will continue as long as I’m around. I look forward to still chatting constantly and having his invaluable input in the front office until he runs away from the league… which hopefully never happens.

Moving on to our new Co-GM. Ever since he first became part of Maine, he made it very apparent that he wanted to be more than just a player. He has been persistent in getting involved every place he can with the team and is someone that I just clicked with from the get-go. Our new Co-GM is @SouthPaw!

South and I first met when I joined the ISFL back last October as he was the unfortunate GM to pick me up off waivers and deal with someone who doesn’t know a lick about football. I have seen how skilled South is in the role and know that he has the skills that will be relied on in Maine as well. He also represents the new era of the Trees and SHL members as I’m sure there are bigger things ahead for him in the SHL as he goes on to be the 1st-overall pick (in my opinion) in the upcoming SHL Entry Draft.

Congratulations South! Let’s get to work.

how the Timber GM allowed to have Newfoundland Berserker signature is beyond me.

SMH no respect for franchise history.
