I apologize to my teammates, coaches, and the fans of Colorado. I did not show up for the playoffs and take the blame for the Raptors performing so poorly. Getting swept by Anchorage is unacceptable. The Season 59 Raptors had way too much talent to be embarrassed on the ice. We owed it to those who just played their final SMJHL season to do better.
My mind was not in the right place down the stretch and into the postseason. Some personal issues affected my performance. I know that it is unacceptable to score 48 points in the regular season and follow up with only 6 putrid shots on goal in the playoffs. Part of the maturation process for me is to learn to deal with the personal issues that come up in a productive manner. To be absent-minded is to fail your team. To make up for this, I am promising that Season 60 will be nothing short of incredible for the Colorado Raptors. I am preparing myself for my best season on the ice. I will create chances, I will score goals, I will be the best teammate…I will entertain. The Season 60 Colorado Raptors will exceed expectations.  It starts in the coming days with the IIHF World Junior Classic. Once again, I am disappointed that my home country of Russia is not able to pool enough players to have a team. We need more young Russian players to opt into this tournament. Regardless, I am excited to be on loan once again, this time with mighty Finland. It gives me great pleasure to be able to skate with Colorado Raptors teammates Jarmo, KEKW, Nishimori, Sonata, and Ren-Eke. If you ask me, that many Raptors on one international team is bad news for the rest of the field. We already have rapport and anticipation of each other’s on-ice tendencies. Additionally, we get to skate with studs like Andrews, Kurri, and Makela. This tournament is going to be fun. This WJC tournament is going to be the start of uber-focused, chip-on-shoulder, everything to prove Fedor Sotakov. Mennään vitun Suomeen!  three-fiddy

Don't put too much on your young shoulders Fedor, lost a few close games in OT and it clearly wasn't meant to be for the Raptors. Glad you're back in good spirits and ready to kick ass.
